Can you find a good modern reproduction of a winchester 1887 and a good barrel for skeet and trap?
Or would you be able to use modern loadings in an old 1887 if you could actually find one for sale?
I've always wanted one and think it would be a fun gun for taking to the shotgun club to have something different.
Not sure if the repro's are any good but they are affordable.
I think it's advised that you use pretty light loads in them.
My buddy has gone back and forth about selling his 12 gauge model. His grandpa owned it, then his dad, now him. He has considered getting rid of it because his dad was/is an alcoholic and beat his mom and him. His dad also took out a bunch of loans under my friends name so that really fucked my friend over and he has to file for bankruptcy. So yeah, hates his dad and I don't blame him. But he's never fired the thing so...

In only the orginal 1887s, or does that apply to the reproductions too?
Should be fine with AA low brass low recoil target loads.
What the hell is with this "real men use their fists" meme? If I'm walking down the street and Jamal starts trying to punch me out of the blue, can I pull my gun and shoot him?
>pic unrelated

Not if you're a real man. Real men use their hokuto shin ken to explode their enemies with fists alone.
>>29570457
its a logical fallacy used by people who dont like guns or by tough guys who dont like the idea of being equal to someone who is physically inferior to them
>real men use their fists
>you dont use your fists
>you arent a real man

Have you ever met a WW2 veteran?
How do they feel about the modern world?, Did they tell you any story?
>>29570407
yes.
oh you know.
and yes
>>29570407
Grandfather is a WW2 vet. Met plenty of others as well. Grandpa told me plenty of stories and he definitely doesn't like the state of affairs in today's world.

Why?
You are in charge of coming up with a tank for your hypothetical country with an industrial capacity similar to Germany.
You need a tank to outfight the T-34 immediately, including being available in quantity. However, it should be also be built with the future threat of the IS-2 in mind. The intended theater of operations would be either Manchuria or the regular old Eastern Front.
The tank should be built with off-the-shelf technology as of 1940.

Yeah nah. Playing pretend is for children. There are real tanks that are already cool as fuck, and real is much better than imaginary.
Build something on the Sherman chassis and upgrade as needed. They could mount 90mm guns on those things during the war and Israel mounted even bigger stuff later.

>You need a tank to outfight the T-34 immediately
Impossible.
Can someone explain this shit to me? I keep seeing people talk about bore axis issues with bullpups because your sights are so far above the bore but I don't even see why that's an issue, like why is that an issue with a bullpup and not an AR? And why is it an issue in general is the bore axis is low?
Thanks for your time

>What is wrong with those fucking dog tags - the picture
>>29570098
You have to be more specific than "people are saying something about something". It's hard to speak to what they are saying without specifics.
The sight height over bore tends to be high with bull pups. It is also high with ARs. These are true statements, but I don't know their context. I've never seen anybody make the issue a big deal.
At extremely short and extremely long ranges the difference in POI vs POA is more pronounced
That's it
I'm interested in "building" (read buying parts) a can. I am planning on sending off my form at the end of this week and was curious about the baffles. I plan on buying a Ti tube and end caps. For the baffles I know I can buy and drill freeze plugs or use VSR and a cut spacer tube. But what I want to know about is the legalities regarding have a machine shop make baffles for me but not drilling out the center so they are not in possession of baffles. Is this legal? Obviously none of this will be done and no parts purchased before I have form 1 approval.
>>29570064
I don't want the freeze plug option because from my understanding they cannot be removed for cleaning. I plan on using this as both a .223 and 22lr can so I do have a need to clean it after being used as a 22lr can. The reason I want to build a can is because I'm not old enough to purchase a new can and don't want to go through the process of finding an individual to sell me a used can.
If I cannot legally have a machine shop make the baffles then I will probably go the VSR route
Until baffles and endcap are drilled, the assembly is solvent trap. Also, plugs aren't permament.
As far as I've seen, you can just buy all this shit on Amazon so I wouldn't worry about it too much until you get your stamp... That said, I know fuck all about it so don't listen to me...

Ticks vs Ants which would win if they where both weaponized?
>>29569476
Ants. Easily.
Go away antman.
Ticks because they carry diseases. Ants are just painful/annoying, not dangerous.
I've decided that it's time I got my first ever rifle. It's going to be a while before I can afford it, but I'm going to get a Steyr AUG A3-M1.
What's your next planned purchase?

Speaking of the AUG did Steyr just stop making pic related?

They're leaping from the top of two stationary cars on to the ground after a car drives by.
>>29569385
Absolutely no one on /k/ operates this hard.
If an accident with a tiny little five inch missile on the flight deck can fuck up a carrier so badly how do we expect them to survive in war when people are actually shooting at them?
Even if they don't sink they'll be completely useless after even the most minor damage. Glass cannon.
ohmygod can we please just not discuss aircraft carriers for one goddamn day. seriously we have been through this so many times there's no point any more, some people will just never believe in them as a concept and thats their opinion and no amount of arguing is going to change it. so just ignore them.

I just want to learn about damage control on carriers. I apologize for triggering your autism.

No.
If North launched a combined invasion of the south, who would prevail if the US DID NOT intervene? Would China become involved? Would Russia back the north? Discuss
Interesting topic OP. Bump.
>>29569297
Considering in that situation the south refuses to lead its own army and has the US do it (its true, look it up.) we would have to get involved...
Ignoring that and somehow Seoul doesnt get leveled and it turns to a mass infantry charge, i suspect mass NK desertion as they start dispersing through the ROK to pillage and scavenge when they see the first grocery store...
>>29569363
Aren't KPA personnel fairly well paid compared to civilians though? Also, what if Russia supported them, openly or otherwise?
