ARE YOU GOING TO GUESS THAT I'M BUYING A COMP M4 TOO?
Looking for some decent paper targets.
Good deals at Amazon?
Get some 17" x11" targets printed up at home a better option?
Not really impressed by what cabelas and gander mountain have in stock

Is there a single weapon that can beat a katana?
Objectively not
No. There is not a single weapon that beat a katana.
There are many.

It's a good solid tank
Looking to buy my first EDC knife, what are good suggestions? I'm currently looking at the Kershaw Leek and the Kershaw CQC - 6K. Any thoughts on what I should get?
Might I add that my budget is quite low, stay as low as you can.
ive been carrying a kershaw leek every day for about four years.
its a kick ass knife 10/10
The leek is nice; I carry one.
Blade takes an easy edge, sharp out of the box, and you can keep it like a razor if you know your way around a stone. Edge retention isn't god-tier, just adequate.
Feels very satisfying in the hand, and has a positive spring open. Just remove the safety... it's shit. It will either break off, or bind the knife when you didn't engage it.
It's a modified wharncliffe... keep in mind that the point is VERY fine, and damages easily. I'm a serious wharncliffe fanboy, so I love it. (Pick related; first attempt at a handmade.)
My wife has a CQC-6K.
Kind of fun flipping it open out of the pocket, but it takes a bit of practice. It's rather tight to push open with the thumb studs, but doable. Doesn't really open any quicker than the assisted flippers like the leek, but it's probably legal in a few more shit states... Same steel as the Leek, if I recall.
The 6K is THICK. Seriously chunky compared to the Leek. Not uncomfortable in the hand, but you'll really notice it in a pair of jeans.
Blade geometry is more normal...
Really just comes down to whether you want a flipper, or an Emerson Wave feature. Both are fine knives.
Spyderco delica is around that price range and is exellent.
Opinel no8 if price is key. and you don't mind traditional. Also mine takes a razor edge with ease.
The leek is ok
Inexpensive kershaws are mostly shit. in my experience
Avoid crkt SOG and Gerber like the fucking plague
/k/, my grandfather was a Nazi. Tell me about him
>Rank
>Branch
>Type of hat, etc.
Also general WWII / German thread.
>>29575341
looks like a kreigsmarine hat and crest.
Conscripts like this lad were very unlikely to be Nazi's.
>>29575374
Oh he was a Nazi, through and tough, stereotypical in every sense of the Party.
Mind contributing any info on his rank and branch? He was very guarded about discussing his service. But my god did he hate pretty much anyone not blonde-haired and blue-eyed.
If I understand MD law, i think i can inherit an M1a from my (unfortunately soon to pass) grandfather, is that true? If not, how do i get one that isnt a polytech?
my understanding is that if you want one, you're basically fucked with the current laws.
>>29575227
i have a garand here in cuckyland, m1a not super different but what do i know, just have someone who owns it bring it in then sell it to you
>>29575227
You are fucked. Polytech is a copycat.
Anything with an M1A action and magazine is an M1A even the BM59 is considered a copycat.
you are fucked. you cannot buy one. Out of state stores wont sell to us either
This weapon looks like it should have a scope on it
Paradoxically, if you do put a scope on it, the gun won't eject shell casings properly
Isn't that something?
Anyway, my question is are there any good M1 Carbine models out there chambered in .22 LR? I heard most of them are pretty shit. Should I buy a 9mm version instead?
>>29574930
Citadel makes a m-14 variant in .22, don't know about its quality though
Erma isn't complete shit for 22lr. If you want reliability and upgradabilty, just get a 10/22 dress up kit.
>>29574930
they all are shit, trust me, also don't get the 9mm chiappa it is a jam o magic piece of garbage.
get yourself, an old usage, and have it tuned up with replacement springs, or get one from ashop like, james river armory or fulton armory, don't buy a new inland carbine they are shit too,
We need a shotgun thread Goddamnit.
This is a 20 gauge Winchester 1300 with a 26 inch barrel. It's my bird gun.
I recently bought an early Browning Auto 5 from a guy for $400 it's in good shape and from the serial number it looks like it's from 1932. Anyone know what it's worth?
>>29574931
$400
I'm actually looking to upgrade from my Winchester. It's a damn fine bird gun, but for competition and fun at the range, not so much
My wishlist
>pump action
>7 or 8 shot tube
>smooth stroke
>bead sight, but either with a vent rig or just elevated base so it isn't a "belly button gun"
>heat shield
There's a lot of mossberg 500/590 configs that would match this, but they...

Why is the F-35 considered a failure? It has VTOL capabilities, a decent cruising speed and can carry a considerable amount of payload. Its aerodynamics are pretty average I guess... But there has to be something else?
>>29574907
>Why is the F-35 considered a failure?
it isn't
>>29574907
noone educated on the subject or not a grumpy old man jaded over their failed lives considers it a failure tbqh senpai
>>29574907
Cost and the fact that they consistently have not delivered. They say they have these capabilities, but they can never seem to finish the damn product without a shitton more money.
What if he shoots you in the face?

That would be extremely painfull

Is there a better production .45 pistol than the Mark 23?
>>29574644
Maybe.
>>29574644
If they could somehow strap a pair of tits to the Mk. 23 then it'd be the best .45 out there.
>>29574660
>implying that wouldent only make it beat out the current production mark 23
>>29574656

Do you fgts even mp5?
>>29574640

>Redposting

I really do hope HK starts importing those mp5's they're making for the european market
>>29574690
try $5500.00
So, I live in NJ, and a shitty part at that, I just inherited a large selection of very nice firearms and am in need of a good cost effective safe that will deter the filth of my area.
I've narrowed it down to two safes.
The Stackon 24 gun fire resistant safe.
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Stack-On-24-Gun-Electronic-Lock-in-Matte-Black-FS-24-MB-E/202996367
Or the Winchester 26 gun safe.

bump for interest. my wife has started complaining that i am loading up the corners of the bedroom closet with gun shit
And you posted this using an internet provider controlled by the mafia? GUESS WHO'S GETTING HIS GUNS STOLEN OLOLOL
Where in NJ? I'm nearby, come sell some guns to me. That way you'll have fewer guns for your wife to complain about and your guns will be liberated from your hellhole of a state. Win/win.
Alright /k/ we've never had this thread before (that i know of) us funs owners are exposed to lead quite often. How much of a health concern is lead when shooting guns? How does it enter the body? Has anyone here experienced bad lead poisoning or anything of the sort? Are us fun owners really at risk or not really?
>>29574281
Don't eat it or lick it. Don't handle it when you you have open cuts or wounds. You should be fine
As long as you wash your hands before eating and use jacketed rounds you should be fine.
>>29574281
people used to smear lead all over their faces and drink from lead pints, water that was retrieved through lead pipes. And they were pretty much fine.
