Is the 300 savage round slowly dying out? I have a savage model 99 and I enjoy shooting it but I am noticing that it is becoming harder and harder to find. Is there going to be a point when this round is impossible to find?
The reason I want to keep this gun is because my grandfather owned it and hunted deer and even killed a black bear with it once. It is important to me. I would like to maintain it and keep it working for as long as possible.
I see 300 sav a lot, and you can still get 303 savage if you look hard enough. That round has been considered obsolete for the last 40yrs.
You'll be fine. Reload if you are concerned.
>literally any savage cartridge
They're already dead. Sure, you can still find plenty of ~$25 boxes of Core Lokt and Powershok around, but those boxes have probably been sitting around in that store a few years already. Handload if you want to keep using it.
What the fuck went wrong?
Does anybody know of any packs that are like this with this price point, the way it attaches to your carrier, and the magazine pouches?
They don't seem to stock these consistently and the reviews on shipping and customer service is horrible if you need something ever since they changed their name from Ares armor to American weapons components.
General pack thread.
Seems like a terrible way to carry a load, how are you going to access whats in it without taking off your vest/plate carrier
I own Kifaru, Arcteryx, and Hill people
If you want a well made, relatively inexpensive small pack
I have a tactical assault gear combat sustainment pack. If you don't mind atacs or ucp, you can get it for $60 on their website
it's a good size for 12 hour stuff. But for the love of god do not attach that shit to your plate carrier. Removing your pc to access shit is retarded and you will not be able to reach back there and grab stuff.
Do you prefer metal or plastic and why?
For practical usage, like EDC, I would prefer polymer. However, as a collector, I fancy good old wood and steel.
Is this man the god of /k/?
I'm looking to get one of these within the next 2 months and was curious if anyone could help me sway more to one or the other. It wouldn't be a ccw except in winter months, and does have the possibility of being an EDC
Some ex USMC dude says I might end up shot for wearing the usmc dress pants to the club for free drinks (Ive never served). The only gun I own is a Glock 17, what's the best way to handle this?
Whats a good sight like EOTech but not going to cost me $500+. Im looking for good quality but $200-300 max.
I am building a high end .308 AR build and I am stuck on what optic to get. I feel like a ACOG would really limit the range of the rifle so I am debating buying a Zeiss HD5 5-25x50 Rapid-Z 800.
>what other options would you look at?
Id like to keep it below $1500 so S&B and Nightforce are out of the question.
Why do people freak out when mentioning using WD40 to clean and lube?
I can't see how it would be worse then nothing, does anyone use it here?
So I may be moving to Utah soon and I was wondering how the gun culture is. It appears the laws are pretty decent, do you think that may change in the near future? Are mormons really as bad to non-mormons as it I hear or is it over blown? There seems a lot of BLM land, how much of it is realistically usable for shooting? How many /k/omrades are from Utah?
>Are mormons really as bad to non-mormons as it I hear
It's even worse. I have Mormon relatives I used to have to visit when I was younger. Them, their neighbors, and every kooky fuck at their tabernacle was a spaced-out creepy shit.
My uncle raped his daughter and molested his sons, and then (being the "pastor") got his tabernacle to fund his court fees and got off scot-free (Mormon lawyer, Mormon judge, normie prosecutor).
To this day he creeps around family events and takes 400 million photos of all the toddlers...

/k/ always rambles on about which anti personnel weapon is best when SHTF.
But what is the best anti vehicle weapon?
>I need to take out engine blocks, because reasons
I'm looking to buy my first 5.56 I have around 1 to 2 thousand to put into it. I'd like to know your advice.
I'd like something that is reasonably accurate (I'm thinking a 16 inch barrel) but not overly huge and really I'm rather new to this. The only rifle I've ever really fired was the L85 but bullpup rifles are way to expensive for what they offer.
Taking a break from finishing this 80% lower.
Why can I not find a basic upper receiver at a reasonable price?
They're out of stock literally everywhere unless you want to buy the 3x the normal price version.
