let's talk gun safety in the military
can you name four (4) ways a soldier can prevent firearm related accidents on the job?
webm related
-Don't give the solider a firearm in the first place
-Remove the firing pin, hammer and recoil spring before you give them a firearm
-Only give them inert ammunition
-Add a helpful label on the muzzle stating 'this end towards enemy'
does this question show up on the ASVAB? I need to know if I should study for it

>can you name four (4) ways a soldier can prevent firearm related accidents on the job?
I only know one
>remember to have the safety on your M9 before engaging in a quickdraw duel with a buddy
Do you think we should have a /k/ game/movie/anything idea thread?
Why don't you just start a thread like that instead of skirting around it like. a fag?
Anyway. A movie about the vietnam war as seen through the eyes of a VC would be pretty interesting
>>29732496
/ak/ is busy with some /k/omic. That's all I know.
a cold war flight simulator would be neat.
dedicated to shit like the B52, XB70, etc.
bonus points if its like DCS and you actually get to blow shit up, preferably with nukes
What are some clothes you'd operate in? I heard Deluth trading co makes the God tier cargo pants, and people prefer them over shit like 5.11 Stryke pants.
Are knee pads good to have or just a meme?
>>29732369
They are really nice but if it gets over 85 where you live get ready for super sweaty balls. They breathe for shit in the summer.
>>29732369
>Are knee pads good to have or just a meme?
Good for combat, less useful in SHTF, unless your plan is to form a group and operate everyone else into submission with small unit tactics.
>>29732369
If you live where it's hot, prepare for ball soup.
Why has there been a general 30kt speed limit on the vast majority of warships created in the past century?
Why haven't we been able to bump that average speed up?
>>29732316
Hydrodynamics and hull speed. Hull speed is proportional to the square root of water line length. So longer goes faster, but not by much. Pushing a ship over hull speed takes a lot of power.

Shimakaze was getting 40 knots back in the 40's
Would a tall, strong woman with actual training to match that of an equally wealthy knight/lord actually fair this well in combat? This woman literally one shots anyone who comes in contact with her.
Her armor/weapons are supplied by a very rich family and she's been fighting since she was a child but is it accurate?
No magical stuff, only discussion on actual swords/sword fighting, armor/combat un armored, and fighting from horseback.
GoT children should have their own containment board.
>>29732231
No, but it's fiction and strong women are my fetish
>>29732231
Has it ever been common? No? There is a reason you see it in movies and video games
Does anyone have any experience with the lee classic loaders? I am extremely interested in them because of the $30 price tag, that includes everything you need to start reloading. (Minus raw materials.) the only reason I have not ordered one of these kits yet, is because they do not recommend using this kit, if you intend to use the rounds in a semi auto weapon. I plan on reloading .223 for my ar. Does anyone know why they recommend that?
Bump for info
>>29732136
>>29732183
Loading on one of those hand presses is going to be extremely slow. I think you would be lucky to generate 20-30 rounds per hour.
The Lee Anniversary Kit should be the bare minimum for a new reloader.
>>29732279
I don't mind if it's so going. I'm just looking for info on why it isn't recommended for use with semi auto weapons
Can we get a SKS thread goin' ? Post pictures and stories of your best and worst moments with your siminov
I saw some on the web for about 430. I know there surplus and they will only run out. I don't have alot of money, but I want a long gun before the presidential election (merica). Should I just get one now before it's too late?
> want sks because of ease of reloads as opposed to ar15 and muh wood
> $350 for chink sks with hand picked option included
> fuck man I dont want shit, might as well get an ar15
> found deal on anderson ar15 for $500 or less, about same price as Russian sks
Should I get an ar15 or sks? I thought that stripper clips were faster than magazines but that idea is starting to go away
Got this from pol for whatever reason and it actually got a good debate.
I'd like to hear from /k/s view as well
>>29731599
The key question is how much ammo the Rangers have.
Also, OP is a fag.
>>29731599
>/pol/
Perhaps you should have stayed there?
>>29731605
A major point brought up was to use the lobsters weapons against them
That and to a revolutionary red, an automatic rifle would sound like a thousand different rifles at once
SHTF
your plan is to go inna woods post gear and plan now
ONLY WHAT YOU CURRENTLY HAVE ON HAND READY TO GO WITHIN MINUTES
ruger m77 (best bolt action, those who think otherwise are simply incorrect)
taurus .44 mag (taurus may be mostly bad, but no problems so far)
whatever knife and hatcher
other random shit
Very relevant greentext I wrote a week or two ago.

what the fuck
>>29731551
do you really think the military and or police would attempt to disarm the people?
theres a much larger public than there is military or police force.
while many states may be willing to surrender (looking at you CA), i can see a good bit retaliating.
Affordable WW2 guns
Under $600
Wood stock
I want to add more ww2 rifles to my collection.
Currently have a 1942 M1 Garand
>>29731488
depends where you live, an M1 carbine maybe?
In Germany you get them for under 400 in good but used condition
>>29731488
almost any ww2 bolt action fits under this description. (assuming you live in the u.s.)
get a 1917, best bolt gun of WW2.
>not owning NVG
what's your excuse for not owning the night?
>>29731453
I have some cheapo spygear NVGs if that counts
I can't find any info on /diy/ing it
Plus I have no experience in electronics aside from building my own pc that got fucked because it was a micro atx and I forgot to put a fan on the graphics card then played fucking doom 3 on it.
I would be the kinda idiot to do shit like that. Forget one detail and destroy my life's work or something.
>>29731453

Can we get a webm thread of people getting brap-brap'd?
Just a reminder that we shouldn't apply the Hague Agreement nor the Geneva Convention to those groups which refuse to abide by it.

Has anybody ever tried a stun gun (not taser) on a person? Just got one two weeks ago on impulse
The one in particular is 3.8 millions volts. I'm more of a gun person but thought these were pretty neat for things in case one of my drunken customers causes a scene in my store and starts to get physical
Buddy had me zap him while he was on 10mg of Valium, a few drinks in and some oral morphine. Arced it once in the middle of his ribs and he went down. That was with a 1MIL volt stun gun. Yours will probably do well for you as long as you don't zip yourself
>>29731184
>1.8 million volts
The voltage isn't what matters. What matters is the amperage that the device puts out, that's what actually causes pain and muscles response. That said, yours will most likely work fine in this regard.
>>29731269
I have heard that elsewhere about the amperage I wish the package said what it was
