I have come to the conclusion that the only way to incapacitate a person that is convinced on killing me is a shot to the spine or head. Ignoring the "I've been shot" factor, I have been training for a few months now with a spine drawn on to my silhouette targets. My ultimate fear is that I shoot somebody that's charging me and they don't stop. I must train.

>I have come to the conclusion
Congratulations. Scientific studies have been saying this for years. Rapid blood loss or central nervous system damage is the only way to reliably stop some one.
Face (the T formed by the eyes and the nose, destroys CNS for the 'instakill), pectoral girdle (heart and lungs. Not much else works when your heart and right lung are shredded), pelvic girdle (Pelvis and hips. Can't run too far on shattered hips.). In that order.
You are not talented enough to hit the spine of a charging assailant.

Hope you're using something bigger than 9mm or even bigger than .45 acp, I've seen guys take entire clips of both center mass and still keep coming.

Ash only referred to his shotgun as a "boomstick" because he was dealing with medieval morons.
If you seriously refer to a shotgun as a "boomstick" in everyday life you should kill yourself.
people in the middle ages were smarter than ppl today
Don't be an autist Frank. People can call a shotgun an "asswiper" if they want.

Someone tell me why i should buy an AR instead of an AK47 other than ak's are for commies and they smell like cosmoline. AK's are cheeper and work almost as well.

rolling
>>29746852
For your money, the ar has the most potential and beat accessorizability. I'm not gonna touch the caliber debate. Objectively speaking, the AR can do more: from 22 to 50bmg, ar can handle it

Not going to give their shitty website traffic.
I don't believe it due to Pitt being known as a shooter and gun owner.
Got talking to this old guy who looked like he was in his forties at the pub. After talking about random stuff he asked what I did and I told him I'm a labourer but was thinking of trying to join the army as an officer. He then started telling me a lot about the army and it transpired he's actually ex-SAS and helped train some of the SEALs that kiled Osama Bin Laden. So I asked him some questions about being an officer in the army, personal gun ownership ect, he said he has a section 5 license and can get anything he wants within reason is this legit? Also one thing...

Yes. Lie about everything.
Post your main home defense gun and explain why you chose it.

/thread.
no one chooses a HD gun for any other reasons
Lelkek RDB.
It's literally as compact as a long arm can legally be without being NFA.
It's 5.56 out of a 17.5" barrel, which will both rekt'd soft tissue and not overpenetrate as much as many pistol/shotgun loads.
30 rounds that aren't anemic pistol caliber with the recoil of a 10/22
Can easily be handled and fired with one hand.
Suppresses phenomenally well.
In fairness I don't have one but I will if I can ever fucking find one for sale.
Why haven't they updated their uniforms and helmets yet?

Good afternoon, /k/. I'm currently looking for a decently priced, fixed-magnification optic for an AR15. However I don't have nearly enough money to dump on an 1100-1800 dollar pic related. What optics do you fellow /k/ommandos use on your ARs, and what can you tell me about them?
Not OP but what's the opinion on this?
>>29746562
Burris Ar-332
>>29746579
Great budget optic, would rather not use in true SHTF though, the coating on the optics reflects a nice "shoot here" target.

Thinking about purchasing a 10mm glock 20 and using these double tap 200gr .40 S&W in it. Has anyone had this idea and could tell me if it's any good?
>>29746402
The gun is chambered in 10mm, so you'd be buying the wrong caliber.
>>29746414
That's true, but it does work out. .40 S&W is comparable to 10mm short, like a gun chambered in 22LR firing 22 short or .357 in a .38. My concern is wearing out the .40 S&W chambered gun too fast.
>>29746434
At least get a conversion barrel. You don't want to wear down that lip at the end of the chamber that holds the 10mm case.
>My concern is wearing out the .40 S&W chambered gun too fast.
Literally a non-concern. Both guns use the same recoil spring in any case.
So /k/, thoughts on what should and shouldn't be legal? Should citizens have access to the most powerful weapons they can actually afford or should some weapons honestly be restricted?
I think fully automatic weapons should be legal but not mortars and other heavy ordinance.
>>29746307
Doesn't stop explosives from being used illegally, now does it?
Anyone who's going to take the time and effort to go through legal channels to get that shit isn't going to use it for ill purposes.
>>29746307
Whatever the government is allowed to have, the citizens should be allowed to have too.
>>29746307
If canons were allowed when the second amendment was written then we should have full access to whatever explosive ordinance the US military has access to.
Someone explain to me why the hell do soldiers wear shades?
they obstruct your vision, make everything seem blacker, therefore making spotting 1000% harder.
You know what else obstructs your vision? The fucking sun.

What are some of the best/craziest examples of a military using the landscape or non-military infrastructure to fight? I can think of the Germans flooding areas of Normandy, and the Soviets busting open the dam at Zaporizhzhya in Ukraine to stop the German advance. Can't really think of any others though, there's gotta be some...
