So is China's military actually good or are they just a meme? Have they ever actually fought anywhere?

This was the last time they fought a War against any noteworthy enemy.
You decide.

So this is going to kill oil filter/wix suppressors. The sad part was that this was part of an industry request back in 2008, but apparently home made suppressors or the like weren't a concern back then.
>SUMMARY: The Department of Justice is considering amending the regulations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to require licensed manufacturers, licensed importers, and nonlicensed makers to place identification markings on the outer tube of firearm silencers and firearm mufflers. t. Liberal moron
Protip, oil filter suppressors are already not legal, same goes for baffle stacks that happen to easily mate with mag lite tubes without tax stamps you dumbass
Literally changes nothing
>>29831437
What about those registered endcaps for oil filters? Those are legal.
>>29831437
pretty sure he's talking about serialized barrel adapters that can be registered as a suppressor and have a oil filter slapped on.
/k/ Ive just brought home my new m&p shield in 9mm.

As in for cc? I'm going to either buy 115gr gold dots or 124gr hst.
124gr jhp, ranger t series
Don't know much about these but I know I need one. I don't want to spend a lot, but I want something that works. What to get?

get the caldwell chronograph from amazon for $75 shipped to your door. I love mine, best $75 I ever spent. It doesnt make my reloads any more accurate but it is really nice to know the numbers behind things and why certain loads perform better. I shot mine with a 45 not too long ago. something tells me it is not a good idea to use a phone to aim down the sights and video. I'll end up buying another one next time I just run into $80 cash. It would be nice to have one again but I have adequate data on all my loads...

hey guys, what do i need to become an operator?
>>29830886
FDNY hat, Oakley brand Oakley shades, and a beard that could conceal a basketball.
>>29830886
Skills and training. Gucci and Calvin Klein Klein is fine, but do you have the skills to keep you safe when your life's on the line?
>>29830886
>m frames
>endo apparel tee
>conceal carry a glock 19 with 10 spare mags
It should be obvious that you're conceal carrying, but the key is to not print. A beard helps with concealing a good portion of those mags
Remember, you're never out of the fight brother.
I'm debating an HK USP versus a Sig p227.
Help me decide which one I should get.
>>29830877
USP all day everyday.
Alloy frames are dick.
USP has 2 extra rounds per magazine and is better built imho. The 227 has a pic rail but adapters for the USP arent that bad. 227 mags will likely be cheaper, but i feel like USP accessories will be more avalible because the 227 is newer and a bit more of an oddball gun. The USP Tactical is also way sexier imo.
>>29830877
USP all fucking day. P227 sucks dick, P220 is better
Hello /k/, I have some extra money (but not too much) and I love milsurp. The wood and metal makes me happy. So I want to buy my first, hopefully of many, and I wanted to ask what I should look out for to make sure I don't buy a turd.
just don't get a mosin because they are trash
>>29830774
Full barrel inspection, rifling, pitting, the crown, also take the wood off and look for hidden external damages. Research the weapon for known defects (like the 1903, some models receivers can explode if they were manufactured during a certain time frame) Look for ill fitting bolts, marks on the bolts, cuts, tooling, etc.
>>29830858
I admit that I used to hunt a lot as a kid with my father, but after moving to the city for years I am finally free to re-learn guns. So as a basic noob, any way to easily discern what exactly would be ill fitting? Like if it locks up when you work it or if it is hard to do or?? Sorry to be so out of the loop. For the moment it seems I need a bit more guidance than I would like to need.
What's /k/s opinion on the specs for this aircraft from Crimson Sky?
I've got no idea if all the statistics are truly canon or if they are unofficial.
Look at the engine and top speed!! . Over 1000 miles an hour! On a prop driven airplane!
Is that possible? Is it even possible with a 450hp motor?
I think that they never discovered or widely used turbines in this universe because they perfected airships instead.
Also, aren't 40mm guns kinda useless on a fighter airframe? Surely they couldn't hold much ammo for it. I think...

Commenting on the realism of a FASA game is dumb, but god damn if Crimson Sky wasn't the tightest shit ever.
>>29830760
>Over 1000 miles an hour! On a prop driven airplane!
Might want to check that number again mate, you could walk faster than that plane. If you meant the space flight, that's not prop driven and the engine for that is over 1000 times more powerful than the prop motor.
On the official wiki it's top speed is listed as 250 MPH.
And I think that's just unrealistically slow.
The other top speed in the OP pic seems unrealistically high...
However it's canon that the Devastator has some kind of "afterburner boost"
Since last one died, we must keep the S.T.A.L.K.ing alive /k/omrades.
>>29830715
Don't push this too hard, we wouldn't want folks getting burned out on the general S.T.A.L.K.E.R. vibe. Maybe put one of these up every week or so?
Otherwise I just finished a playthrough of CoP with the Arsenal Overhaul mod. I wish there was an option to limit ammunition and price it super high because otherwise it is kinda a cakewalk.
I played on Master, maybe I need to try Misery out. Anyone here recommend Misery at all?

I figured it out /k/. The whole "lower standards" crap. Its about purposely letting American forces get massacred by the enemy, making the perfect excuse for drones and nothing but. Once the government has an army of UAVs there's nothing you and your ar15 can do about it. You'll just get blown up by a transspecies/sexual in Virginia from 200 miles away. It doesn't matter what happens in this next election because all of the steps to prevent a revolution have been taken. Our founding Fathers dreams have been crushed by globalists. Please, prove me wrong...

You're wrong, drones can be easily defeated.
Imagine you're looking at the ground through a toilet paper roll from about a mile up. That's about how much they can see. Easily defeated with the most basic of thermal protection, and completely useless in urban areas, the common drone is only truly useful in rural or desert (imagine that) combat.
Besides, they wouldn't know how to operate the fucking things with any efficiency anyway.
>>29830713
Interesting perspective on drone performance. Have you considered how easy it would be to make a drone attack helicopter? The remote controlled cannon would be extremely powerful, especially with the thermal display. We all know that the militaries technology is far more advanced than what they show.
>>29830818
Yeah? And what would you use it for? Every time the weapon jammed - and it will jam - you'll need to RTB, leaving yourself and your buddies vulnerable. If anything about the software went wrong, you'd be fucked, and the chance for it falling into enemy hands would be severe. You can't operate that drone indoors, your thermal imaging is blocked by fucking forests, rendering it nearly useless on the coasts of the US, and you wouldn't be able to see diddly without other drones covering your ass,...

For legal reasons none of us in the house can own a firearm, how well does a crowbar translate to home defense?
>>29830568
Are you the one mass posting a whole shitload of really stupid bait threads? This is clearly a setup where someone asks why you can't have firearms and then the entire thread devolves into whatever bullshit story you make up. It's not funny, it's not entertaining, it's not cool. Stop it.
No one's falling for them. sage

>>29830568
Terribly. You get one swing and that's it. You could poke/thrust with it, but there are better options.
Are you banned from owning machetes or similar? If not, that would be a better option. Get one with a guard. Here's a decent example- an Ontario Machete, made in the USA, 1095 steel, good blade.
A lot of people are shooting AK-47 and AK-74.
But I find weird no one shoots the AN-94.
Isn't this assault rifle more modern than any american or german assault rifle?
It can fire two consecutive shots on the same spot.
becuase its top secret and ur not allowed to no about it. Russians kgb are gonna come and get u kill
They were a prototype and never made mass production. Maybe used a couple times in SF groups if I remember correctly but they don't exist. Even if they did they'd never make it to the US.
I hope this is bait.

There's one stateside. Small Arms Review did an article on it, Vol. 19 No. 2. Really cool piece of engineering.
Hi /k/
I'm wanting to get into 1911's for funsies and up until now have only owned polymer 9mm's of varying types
I've read from here and other places that the Ruger SR1911 is an excellent entry level model
Anything I should know about them? Other suggestions for a first 1911? Stainless aesthetics and under $900 are my only must haves
>>29830460
1911s are shit unless they've had at least a grand put into them. The general plan is to get something to use as a base with decent tolerances and a low price because most of it is getting replaced.
