Found this at work today, old military base in Aus, anyone know what this is? Is there 5 primers?

This may be a better question for /his/ but did any footsoldier in history actually ever use a two handed sword for pitched battles? (ie not single combat) It seems like there is no advantage over a spear/shield or sword/shield, as it's much harder to defend yourself and you don't have anything to stop projectiles. Why are they a thing today?
basically, ( to my understanding, of course) most swords in Europe were designed to be used as one hand swords, but also as two handed swords. If you really had to smack someone, use both hands.
Dedicated two handed swords however? not sure. It would be easier to cleave through armor with a massive two hand broadsword than a one handed blade tho.
>in history actually ever use a two handed sword for pitched battles
Doppelsöldner, basically pike destroyer.
>there is no advantage over a spear/shield or sword/shield
With full armor there is little need for shield.
Longer reach, but with versatility of a sword.
I'm looking to buy a full-sized, metal framed 9mm handgun. Budget of ~$1000. I've never had a pistol before, but I have an AR15. What does /k/ recommend?
Pic somewhat related.
Because information delivered via first post just can't be valid.
There are various oldish things that are not mentioned. or "militr.. no. let's stick with there being something old not mentioned. do ask if you would prefer higher price with worse results, but with "history" n shizzles.
From what I've seen, /k/ sides with the person filming.
The guy with the gun should never have displayed it if he didn't intend to kill, plus he would probably request a bill of sale, and he didn't immediately draw and double tap into the head
The only reason why the guy with the dog flashed his gun was because he was an irresponsible gun owner (who insists on a bill of sale, lmao fucking dumb fudd) who is insecure around public protesters.
both of them are retarded.
i have and love my dogs.
walking them on grass in the sun is fine so long as you take breaks and have lots of water on hand - this is why the cameraman is wrong.
you should never, ever, ever show or draw your gun on someone unless they are a credible, real threat to your/others' safety. this is why the man being filmed is wrong.
overall a video filled with extra chromosomes. potato/10
What would happen to you if you walked into a warzone as a PMC/Merc and you came across U.S military forces or any foreign military force for that matter that you particularly side with? Or you went to some third world shit hole and instead of being a "volunteer" for their army couldn't you just jump in as a PMC/merc? Why do you need to be part of a company to operate?
>What would happen to you if you walked into a warzone as a PMC/Merc and you came across U.S military forces or any foreign military force for that matter that you particularly side with?
You get shot.
We all are heading that direction. When will you get there? How will you know? What issues will you be fuddy on?
>probably in the next decade
>I will know cause /k/ will tell me
>I'll be fuddy about caseless/CT ammo, I just don't think I'll think its as interesting as brass cased ammo.
>he posts home defense threads on /k/
>he thinks he's "ready" for a home invasion situation
>even has a faggy "home defense music playlist" like an autismo
>he doesn't own a light for his weapon
>he doesn't carry a light on him everyday
Literally and I mean LITERALLY, what is your fucking excuse?
Because in a night time home defense scenario my eyes are likely to be better adapted to the dark than the intruder's and turning on the light before you have the target in front of you just lets them know you're coming.
I'm trying to research suppressed firearms for home defense on my own, but I keep finding two things totally at odds.
First I'll read about how it's such a great idea to use suppressed+subsonic for all the obvious reasons, then I'll read about how subsonic ammo... is terrible for home defense?
Still looking into it myself, just wondering what /k/'s thoughts are.
If you want to operate operationally with a suppressed weapon you need subsonic.
If you're just trying to avoid getting the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE from firing a few shots in self defense, don't bother reducing your firepower.
So, I know .22LR is a pretty shitty defensive round, but what about .22 Mag out of something like pic related or similar?
Would running it with Hornadys make for a decent defensive carbine?
I have better funs with better rounds, but I'm curious what you guys think.
Not OP but last month my LGS has like 3 of them on the rack. wanted 5-600 for them I think. Was there recently but I wasn't looking for these so I don't know if they've still got em
Thinking of buying a lapua 338. What do you guys think?
i think you like reloading for a gun chambered in 5 dollar bills
COfag here. I decided to make a variation of my state flag to express my desire to remove kebab.
Maybe I can make some patches or stickers with it, I dunno, Gonna post a bunch of other stupid shit I made.
Feel free to request shit and I'll see if I can make it.
Hey /k/, are there any more of these floating around?
Any guns that you think should be on these?
Let's hear em
What Music do you operate to /k?
My personal favorite
Miculek says weaver stance is shit. What does /k/ think?
