Anyone here ever done it? Which country, how was it?
Formerly US Army Aviation 15T
Are these reticles useful, or are just a novelty?
they kick ass. useful and they make the ak very handy.
Think you can help tell me more about this (what I'm 99.9% sure is a bayonet)
Also any pointers on restoring or cleaning it up?
Will upload more pictures. Tried to get all stamps/markings.
>tacticool black pistol grip stocks exist for the SKS
>75 round drum mags exist for the SKS
>SKSes are still cheap enough that you can get two for the price of a decent AR, one to tacticool up and one to keep standard
>this is all entirely legal in my state
Anon are you thinking of the right gun?
Because pic related is a PKM
9mm 1911 thread
Springfield Range Officer or Kimber Custom II?
Kimber costs $10 more. Springfield comes with a paddle holster and a magazine holster.
inb4 hurr durr buy a .45acp/38super/10mm
I mean at this point no matter what you buy it's still a fullsize steel frame single stack 9mm so you might as well flip a coin so at least a portion of this horrible decision is in god's hands and not yours.
if a certain caliber is akin to vapefags it would most decidedly be .40 S&W
>trying to be trendy
>ends up being annoying
>not nearly as good as alternatives
>only enjoyed by die hard fans
>hated by everyone else
Looking to buy my fist handgun. What does /k/ recommend?
So heres a question /k/
>I have an opportunity to buy either a Glock 17 gen 3 or a Kimber 1911
>Inb4 flame wars. It matters little to me since its going to be just a plinking weekend shooter.
>The Glock is $550
>The Hi Power $475
I'm looking for a new scope for my mini-30. My old one I got nearly 20 years ago for less than 100 bucks and it doesn't hold zero well.
I want something in a 3x9 probably, but not too concerned with reticle or any of that shit. What's the best 200 buck scope? I was considering the Leupold VX1, the Viper Diamondback maybe, or Nikon Buckmaster?
Hey /k/ I want to build a perimeter wall around my property, around 2-3 acres. Any suggestions on height and material used?
I was thinking of concrete with a brick frontage so it doesn't look like FT fucking Knox about 7-10 feet. Behind that I am thinking of putting a berm about half the height of the wall, 1, so that you can easily view over it and provides a good firing position, 2, it'll reinforce the wall, 3, it'll look pretty with flowers'n'shit on it.
Also general emplacement I'll post what I have.
Gonna take a lot of work, anon. You gonna do it yourself or have someone else do it? It'd look like shit, but a friend of mine fenced in a portion of his lawn with cinder blocks, concrete and rebar. Good luck, whatever you choose to do
Anyone know of a good place to buy Oriental weapons?
So I'm looking into buying a sword or something and I've been trying to find something cool. I looked at Kult of Athena and they have some nice European swords but I also wanted to look at something more oriental.
Are these Yugoslavian unissued SKS's worth $400 a piece?
Given what this anon said, plus the fact that they're unissued, I'd say yes
I paid $320 3 years ago for a Sino-Soviet, which is in great condition (metal parts) but has a pretty beat up stock
Alright, /k/ommandos, time for your first annual eeeeeeeeeee test. Please tell me if you notice any particular drops in volume as you slide the bar. Report back here with the hertz range(s) that you find most difficult to hear.
The purpose of this test is to determine if those of our ilk have a propensity to lose hearing in certain ranges based upon their favored calibers, or certain scenarios you may remember when you neglected to protect your only always-on, 360 degree sense.
Please include with your report...

It is normal that as you age it becomes more and more difficult to detect higher frequencies. I'm 28 and have difficulty detecting above 18,000 hz (with both ears on, oddly it's lower for each individual ear). I also notice a distinct drop in volume at the 5,500 hz and 9,500 hz ranges.
I'm writing a paper on why gun free zones don't work. Input?
Gun-free zones are not specifically a good or bad thing in my opinion, since it typically involves a private entity saying no, which is perfectly fine in this world. Also, could you name some shootings/crimes/whatever that took place in gun-free zones?
Pretend for a moment you are a character in a FPS video game. You can carry a primary, a secondary and a melee weapon. What do you have, /k/omrade?
REALISM MODE: You can only choose from what guns and melee weapons you actually own. If you have no ammo for said weapon then you can't use it.
Primary: Converted Saiga (7.62x39)
Secondary: Beretta 92 Samurai Edge ;D
Melee: Probably just one of my larger fixed blade knives. But I have a fetish for using climbing axes as weapons.
