Now that APC's are as big and armoured as tanks, as opposed to 20t tin cans of the past, what are your predictions of future military equipment?
This can include all branches of the military
>>30021107
Thats just the IDF. And they don't know what the fuck they are doing. They could mever secure any foreign sales and their Merkavas can be out performed by the likes of South Korea or Japan's modern MBTs.
>>30021166
Sure you're not a Pali bro
>Namers took part in Operation Protective Edge. During the fighting, Namers (which at the time were not fitted with an Active Protection System) were hit multiple times by RPGs and ATGMs, including suffering direct hits by Kornet ATGMs, but the vehicles emerged undamaged and in no instances was the armor penetrated or injuries caused
>>30021166
>They could mever secure any foreign sales
It's not like it was designed specifically for their needs or anything.
Is there a single aspect of combat that manlets are good at?
Besides being the sacrificial lamb when someone finds a hole that may or may not contain the enemy or some booby traps?
Pic related was 5'11".
>>30021056
>That kick
It was like watching a grown man bully a small child

Grappling.

also G tolerance is better when you're built like a wrestler.
Hey /k/ I just filled out an application at a local gun shop. Any gun store employees have any advice to share? I've seen peoples opinions of working at one go either way, but I like the prospect of being around things I love all day, so I'll give it a shot.
I know it's not guaranteed that I'll get hired, but there are some other local firearms related options I can try if this one doesn't pan out.
Thank's in advance for anything.
>>30021052
When you quit you should put a round in one or two of the display guns
>>30021081
This.
Also having worked at one for nearly 3 years you will see the worst of people and have very bitter outlook on the average gun owner
>>30021052
>I like the prospect of being around things I love all day
No, anon. The quickest way to make yourself hate a hobby is to do it for money. Have you ever worked in customer service before? It fucking sucks, right? You see the stupidest, shittiest, most fucked up people ever.
This is the exact same thing, except now guns are involved.
I wouldn't do it.
Can anyone ID this pistol for me? Thanks!
>>30020963
looks like old colt or fn browning
Is that a famas??
it looks to be worth around tree fiddy
French Ruby pistol, the Hi-Point of the early 20th Century.
Just bought this beauty.
Quick question, can I run normal modern 12 guage birsshot through this?
>>30020862
Before you run anything through it, get it checked out professionally.
>>30020892
Why? I inspected the breech and barrel and everything looked good.
>>30020919
What's the chamber cut for then?
Active duty in cali.
Im not a resident.
Pretty sure i can have whatever i want as long as im using legal mags
Am i wrong?
>legal mags
Good one
Your guns will have to comply with the states laws. Pistols should be fine. This means bullet mags, etc bullshit for mag fed rifles.
>>30021220
Im not putting a bullet button on my ar.
Does short sightedness give me a heavy disadvantage in combat?
How do i compensate for this?
Glasses
>>30020944
This. You will be wearing some kind of Eye Pro anyway. If you are that insecure about it just get Lasik.
>>30020955
The scars from lasik can rupture if exposed to a shockwave. It's incredibly uncommon, but it has been reported before.
Is Tales of the Gun any good or is it anti-gun/fudd bullshit? I'm looking for something gun related to watch that isn't just shooting videos and I noticed the entire series is up on Youtube.
You new here? Watch it already. Back when the History channel wasn't total shit.
>The gun has played a critical role in history. An invention which has been praised and denounced, served hero and villain alike, and carries with it moral responsibility. To understand the gun is to better understand history.
>>30020637
Tales of the Gun was an awesome show. Way back when the History Channel actually put out good quality shows. They tell you about who the gun's inventor was, how it was made and how it influenced the world. Really informative and fun show.
They highlight how the firearms were used in wars, taming the wild frontiers and other historically important settings. It's a very good show for many reasons especially the lack of bias. They are telling you literal facts in relation to each gun, not politics or opinions.
>>30020672
I loved that intro they gave at the beginning of each episode.
>tfw fell for meme gun in meme caliber (.40 short and weak)
>twice
>in two weeks
pic related, my gun and my gun's son.
what memes have you fallen for recently?
hey faggot I already made a Chiappa thread, post there cuck-dad
>>30020574
Am I allowed to talk to your gun's son?
>>30020574
Never talk to me or my guns son ever again.
USS Zumwalt officially accepted into service.

I swear there are Russian and Chinese agents embedded within our defence procurement program. This is a completely inferior ship to not only other ships out there but the very ship it is supposed to replace.
>>30020711
Thanks for your insightful comment Ming Zhao, i'm calling the FBI to warn them about infiltration at the DoD right now
>>30020711
I have to agree with you.
America is pretty much a communist nation disguised as a capitalist nation, with the disadvantages of both systems but none of the advantages.
I've heard all about how communists/Marxists infiltrated government organizations.
Confusing as fuck.
Honestly I think the Zumwalts a decent ship, if it could be made cheaper I'd be happier though.
Im about to buy some AR ammo for my SHTF/WROL stockpile, and I'm torn between two choices..
500 rounds of 5.56 FMJ for $158?
Or
500 rounds of .223 JHP for $175??
Both are made by Federal.
I'm not sure how much of an advantage HP ammo has when it comes to intermediate cartridges.
TL;DR Is it worth spending a little extra money to buy hollow point ammo for SHTF?
The JHP
>>30020507
I'd get the fmj personally but whatever.
>>30020507
>WROL
?
What's this based on?
>>30020318
>>30020318
its a cross between an m8 grey hound and m4 sherman
>>30020328
Not entirely sure, but wouldn't the wheels be redundant? I mean i know wheels are faster on road but the tanks are weighty.
What options do I have to find a gun in a small village in Europe ?
I don't feel safe anymore ( which I don't think is irrational ) and need something to defend myself just in case.
What country are you in?
>>30020296
Are you in denmark or poland? Join a militia or get a hunting license.
What do you mean by "find". Like dig out ww2 artifact? Most of them wont work and you will need additional parts for replacement. If you want to buy a gun then first you need a safe and to specify a country you are living in. If you are looking for an illegal gun then i doubt anyone here could help you.
Ww2 relic diggers again might have some weapons but every govt is also aware of that and checks their auctions. And nobody is going to sell an illegal gun to a complete stranger anyway. Also in this case good luck finding ammo because as far as I'm aware in...
