I saw this on online and for a second, it actually got me wondering.
What if the Roman Empire existed as it did back then up to today? Like, how the hell would the soviet state react to such a thing? Most of their union would be in the Roman lines so there'd be. What.
I dunno.
>>30145959
>Like, how the hell would the soviet state react to such a thing?
No reaction, the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991.
>>30145959
>soviet state
You mean Mongol Empire?
>>30145959
>free movement of kebab.
Yeah, no thanks.
So gunpocalypse is going down in my old home state of California and even though I moved away several years ago I still follow their gun laws. Apparently AB 1663 and AB 1664 would require and semi auto rifle with a detachable magazine with the use of a "bullet button" to be registered as an "assault weapon" and ban the future sale of rifles that do not come with a fixed magazine. What does that even mean? I've seen descriptions that state the firearm would literally have to be taken apart in order to change the magazine out or reload. Are they talking...

Time to go Oklahoma City on Sacramento.

Some time ago when people were still trying various different ways to get around CA retardation an alternative to bullet buttons I recall seeing was an AR15 where the upper/lower opened on a hinge to allow mag access, with the pin at the other end holding it having some sort of clasp/handle arrangement so you could remove/replace it quickly.
Wouldn't work for anything else but an AR I guess, and maybe it eventually got ruled as not sufficiently dismantling it to count, idk it was ages ago and I cba trying...

Cold steel makes quality knives for the price. Their ram lock design is brilliant and they have decent materials.
Also mikovs are very unrealiable for locking.
I don't think everyone should be allowed to have guns because of how absolutely fucking stupid a lot of people are
>>30145655
Or drive for that matter.
>>30145655
I know you are just trolling, but in regards to the people that actually think like that. Have you ever noticed they're always just projecting their own stupidity on others?
>I'm a fucking retard who can't trust themselves around guns
>Therefore EVERYONE must be a retard that can't be trusted with guns

>>30145600
your local SOT if they are large should have a decent selection on hand. you are too late to wait for a transfer from another dealer the paperwork is taking two months just for dealer to dealer because of the panic of 41f. I have 17 stamps pending right now AMA fag
>>30145918
Any idea if the Saker that much better than the Specwar? Any thoughts on Silencerco Hybrid?
A break action pellet gun is an ideal weapon for a survival situation because it is quiet, ammo is cheap and plentiful, and will allow you to easily kill small game without wasting a bullet or worrying about breaking an arrow.
Prove me wrong.
>protip you can't
> having to use anything other than your bare hands to kill tiny animals
>>30145312
You just have to worry about actually hitting that little creature, with enough regularity that you don't run through an entire tin just trying to get a bite to eat first week SHTF.
>pellet guns, especially piston guns, are not easy to shoot well
>>30145312
They're not _that_ quiet. My .22 pellet is about as loud as .22 subsonic.
Shame to have to think about buying a can for an air rifle.

>Panvilov’s 28 is a movie devoted to a famous act of bravery by the Soviet soldiers that managed to protect Moscow back in 1941, with most of them paying the ultimate price for this deed. The movie has been created in partnership by the 28 Panfilov’s men studio and Gaijin Entertainment, the video game developer that created the famous MMO - “War Thunder”.
Looks pretty good for some Russian indy studio and a video game company.

Will this ever substitute normal rifles /k/?
>Five of the weapons were deployed with the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan in October 2010,[13] along with 1,000 hand-made air-burst rounds. The soldiers reported that the weapon was extremely effective at killing or neutralizing enemy combatants firing on US troops from covered positions.
>>30144947
>Will this ever substitute normal rifles /k/?

Think before you ask such questions next time.

Why not?

How does /k/ feel about .22s for self defense?
>>30143923
>unreliable cartridge
>low energy
avoid, 22 is better than nothing but anything centerfire is better than 22
>>30143923
If you're getting a cheetah for any serious use, there's no reason to go for a rimfire. Just get one in .32 if .380 is too lively for you
>>30143923
the .22 short would be almost useless, and a .22LR would be less than useful
I guess I would take one over a knife, but it would be a toss up
you would have to shoot for the head to cause any serious injury, which in a self defense situation wouldn't help your odds getting a hit on target
with a larger round, aiming for center mass means a poorly placed shot could still at least hit a target in the shoulder/arm/gut
aiming for the head would mean a missed shot would have no effect at...

Is it just me, or have pistol caliber carbines seen a significant uptick in popularity recently? Why is this?

9mm box of 50, 9 bucks
5.56 box of 50, $25
That is why.
>>30143448
Because most pistol calibers out of a rifle type system are pretty fucking fun and pistol ammo is cheap as fug
>>30143460
Please tell me where I can get 50 rounds of 9mm for that price that isn't Tula
Not being snarky, I legitimately want to know. I'm getting a 9mm soon and I hunger for ammo.

>Can interact with its troops and also provide comfort in case shit goes south
>Boosts morale
>Literally the term "An infantryman's best friend is his rifle"
>Turns into the actual weapon when operated by the operator
>Can be modified (Depends on model of firearm)
>Can be fixed if damaged like any other firearm
>Downside if damaged severely and parts replaced, they'll lose their memories permanently
>tfw this will never be real
The only thing that irks my autism is that they're anthropomorphic form are not drawn in the uniform
Hey /k/. Don't post in this board much, but having just recently re-watched Star Wars, it got me thinking about armored walking vehicles.
Under what circumstances,if any, would walking tanks be preferable over traditional tracked or wheeled tanks? If not a good idea now, will technology and/or circumstances ever make legged tanks a practical tool on the battlefield?
They're top-heavy, so none.
>>30143069
That could be mitigated by mounting the legs in a way similar to a spider, allowing it to raise and lower the hull depending on terrain.
>>30143056
Maneuvering through rough terrain is the only benefit I see, but even then we'd just fly over it in the first place and never encounter the rough terrain so I really don't see any purpose.
CZ Scorpion opinion?
Looking to add an SMG to my collection. It is between the CZ Scorpion or the MP5 clone from Atlantic...
Anyone here ever shoot a Scorpion? Thought?
Also what do you guys think about having a SMG in your SHTF arsenal? All of my pistols are 9mm so most of my ammo stash is 9mm. I think a SMG would be a great addition. Thoughts?
