A flathead screwdriver so you can tighten the stock after every time you shoot it.
Along with many of you I've enjoyed the Oppenheimer threads. Whenever I'm talking with someone and they repeat a common fallacy, or ask a nuclear related question I often find myself searching the archive for the answer.
Oppy has posted a reading list in a few threads, but honestly, most people aren't going to go through the effort. It would be nice if we could condense the salient points and perhaps post it in the sticky.
I don't know how this kind of thing is done, but I would be willing to help do it. Anyone done something like this in the past?
I made a bad thread ;-;
>>30623433
Nah, it's just only a handfull of people on /k/ even know who based Opp is or even remember him.
>>30623624
I'm certainly too much of a newfag to /k/ to have seen the threads but they sound cool. Guess I'm off to the archive.
Hey /k/ is it a huge dick move to enlist in the military right after your employer stuck it out for you to get a job? I stayed in my hometown after college because I didn't want to break up with my girlfriend to go active duty but I just broke up with her yesterday and I have the itch to enlist. I was thinking if anything I would work there for a year and then go because I would really be burning my boss who jumped through a bunch of hoops to hire me. Anyone else on /k/ deal with a situation similar to this? I wanna be a combat engineer
Tell them you feel you need to serve a higher cause or some shit
>>30623179
What crappy job are you considering ditching.
Think about it this way. It is your life, not his. Would you look back on a decision to not join because your employer at the time would be disappointed? You've only got one chance to do what you want to do.
How many mags do you carry in your battle-ready loadout?
I got 6 on my plate carrier and 1 in mag, so im carrying 7x30rd mags
how many would you need in total SHTF?
>>30622954
6 in my pouches, 1 in my weapon, 6 in my 72 hour bag just incase some shit goes down on a mission.
LÆFFY!
>>30622954
I carry 12-14.
Want to bring Glock 17 with 17 & 33 round magazine for my 1 week stay.
Are out-of-stater's exempt from 15 round law?
Please link to legal stuffs
>>30622721
>Are out-of-stater's exempt from [any] law
fucking no
follow the law in the state you're going to or you'll end up in shit.
>>30622721
can you take all that weed out of state legally?
retard
>>30622721
No they are not exempt.
People who owned mags before the ban are still allowed to own and use them, so they're still everywhere and being used at every range, and the burden of proof is on the prosecution.
The law faces major opposition and is not enforced in most of the country, as the above exception makes it largely unenforceable.
Take that as you will.
Who here /reenact/?
I just got some of my first things in the mail. Going to an event in Ohio this August.
Hopefully some of you /k/ommandos are into this too. I have to buy a good ol' kar98 soon.

Is the Lel Kek RFB any good?
>>30622389
From what I understand, the main advantage of the RFB is the forward ejection mechanism, similar to that of the F2000. The idea being, it's more ambidextrous; something like the STG-556 is just going to be pelting your face with shells all the time if you're a lefty.
>>30622389
id buy one if it wasnt 1500 and unobtainium
When technology improves, would a Dreadnought be an effective alternative to a tank?
If rotary blades and treads are more energy efficient now, I'm not sure why they wouldn't be in the future.
The entire "appeal" of mechs is they're allegedly more maneuverable than modern tonks. If the mech can only move on two stubby legs, is super tall with a really high center of gravity, and has really limited speed/visibility/armor, it has no advantage,
The Dreadnought is to mechs as the Tsar Tank is to tanks
>>30622315
Yes of course, but is your tank blessed by the techpriests of Mars and imbued by the common and unending hatred for the ennemies of Man ?
didn't think so.

Good point.

Buy quality ammo and you'll never have that issue.
Are hangfires even a thing anymore? I've literally never seen a round hangfire in my life and I've done a fair amount of shooting
This guy needs to become a saint of the /k/ube. He nails it

Essentially we need to civilize blacks. No shit.
Or just ship them back to Africa.
>>30621971
This is a good start. It looks like the libs are slowly beginning to understand that we have a social problem, not a gun problem.
I wonder if they'll ever make the connection between welfare programs and ghetto behavior. That would be the true watershed moment.

God damn I hate this argument. They freely allowed normal citizens to carry military grade(for the time) weaponry. Why shouldn't it be the same today?
I just got my Patriot Mag Release in the mail.
Pictures of install. Nothing detailed, because it's nothing difficult.
It's identical to installing a regular bullet button. Mag catch, spring, button, castle nut, thread on.
I'll be discussing mechanical function and compliance to recent California laws SB880 and AB1135.

RIP CALIFORNIAN GUN RIGHTS

>>30621556
First of all, remove and throw away the old bullet button.
In terms of mechanical design, the Patriot Mag Release is literally a metal bar welded onto the original bullet button. An ordinary mil-spec mag catch spring is used, instead of the one provided with gen 1 bullet buttons.
The intent of the design is that the welded bar blocks the actuation of the button. It is technically possible to operate the Patriot Mag Release with a tool until SB880/AB1135 comes into effect sometime in 2017.

I've been trying to find a rail or scope to use on my NPAP that actually fits the mount on the rifle without having to modify one and risk fucking it up.
Did your npap come with a rail? If not just buy a MI handguard and be done. Drilling and riveting a rail is so much more work than it's worth.
>>30621279
It didn't come with any rails, only the iron sights and the rail mount on the left side.
>>30621420
What you're calling the rail mount is a rail, just a different style.
They make scopes, red dots, ect designed specifically for AK pattern rifles with the side rail. Just get one of those.
