The local PDs are using some nearby buildings for SWAT training this week. I really think it'd be fun to play opposition, but how do I ask them? Have any of you done it?
I might be going to an auction next weekend to purchase some firearms and maybe make a few bucks off of them. It's mostly fudd shit with a hi-point thrown in, but the newspaper ad also said a "semiautomatic rifle with long magazine and muzzle brake", so there may be some better stuff. The thing is, I've never been to an auction. My plan is to price out all of the guns listed in the ad on Gunbroker, then try to stay $50-$100 under those prices. Do you guys have any tips for auctions? Will I be able to visually inspect the guns?
Bumping with some guns, a Browning A5 is one of the guns I might keep for myself, along with the Hi-Point if I can get it cheap enough.
pls help me obiwan /k/enobi
I will get my weapon license for the first time in a couple of days, even thou I have fired several guns I've never used a Ruger 22/45 (it's the standard gun used in our local range).
Any tips or advices about this gun i should take into account?
None of this shit woulda happened if these fulls were carrying a 454 casull
I have a Yugoslavian M48A. I've had it for less than a week.
Today, I shot it and the bolt will not reopen. There is an empty shell casing that I suspect (but don't actually know) is broken. The bolt will not rotate all the way up to open the bolt, but I managed to use the groove the firing pin assembly to recock it so that I can change the position of the safety. Still won't move any further.
I've disassmbled it and reassembled the bolt several times, but I haven't messed with the firing pin other than cleaning.
What do I do?

1,000 soldiers with Sks
800 soldiers with AR 15's
For unknown reasons, the AR 15's only have 20 round magazines with them.
Haven't seen this thread in a while but what does /k/ think of gas masks?
Are they pointless considering most chemical weapons can affect exposed skin as well?
What about for tear gas in a possible government takeourfuns scenario?
Not totally useless, but very situational and you probably won't get much use of it.
That said you will find a lot of /k/kommandos who own one because of cool factor/SHTF fantasies.
I did use one on my trip to Chernobyl though.
They're hot and uncomfortable especially with the rest of your MOPP gear on, even if you sit at a desk in a climate controlled room. Lord help you if you have to hustle in the sun and heat, you might be one of the several yearly casualties.
You just found out that your kid is destined to be the leader who has the save humanity from a robot uprising how do you teach him to be the ultimate badass?
Shoot him and so I don't have to deal with this bullshit in the future. Fuck that. There is not training I could give him that would make him into that great leader. Nopein out of that.
Sup /k/, is this dynamite or what? Found in my garage. My guess is it's 4 decades old at least.
Dumb fuck thats a roll of hash, just smoke it.
what are some diy handgun kits? I'm just curious. Right now all I can think of just 1911 kits, and 3d printed polymer frames (pic related)
is there anything else?

AR confessions: I actually like the aesthetics of non-shit tier quadrails
Why'd you decide to go with BCM marked upper receiver and BCG on that build?
I actually would. With carrying a surplus gun like the 1895, getting if taken after using it on someone to protect yourself wouldn't be much of loss. You can easily go get one for a couple hundred bucks.
I need to get one still.
I see them on gunbroker and armslist. yet they are never close enough for me to visually inspect before purchase.
I don't buy old firearms online uness from a reputable seller. All the big names in online gunsales have been out of Hand Nuggets for a while.
I'm a newfag to /k/ and normally only browse other boards, so sorry if thats one of these threads you have everyday.
So I keep hearing from family members and friends, who serve in the police and/or military that they have no real use anymore, also reading that in the internet, and that they are completely outclassed by short-barreled automatic rifles (except for sound-supressing).
What is /k/'s opinion about that?
Yes, they are.
Some people will dispute that (some people will dispute anything) but that's generally the way it is. SBR's provide better range, better wound profiles, and parts and ammo commonality.
How does camouflage science work? What do a group of intellects test and discuss when they get together and decide what certain pattern of colors and/or shapes camouflage you best in a given environment?
