>Why do marines let retards in?
Welcome to volunteer militaries. They're mostly filled with those who wouldn't succeed in the civilian world, so they joined the military.
What, you think smart people join the military?
There are hundreds of thousands just like him.
>>30238745
Vetfag here. I know that we do some stupid, moto shit. It's just in our nature when this life demands so much of you, you get that tribal mentality going. It's the most natural thing in the world.
But your friend is on the extreme end of the bell curve. Tell him to shut the fuck up but make sure that he knows that this is about him, not some envious bullshit. Something on the order of "You're turning into an asshole to be around."

MAC is going full on damage control with the X95, accuracy isn't important now goys.
>field conditions with a weapon configured for field use
What is this supposed to mean?
>>30238646
Actually that gun based on that video seems to be pretty accurate. I think youre just a bitch.
Also, becore im accused of being MAC, i think the tavor and the x95 are shit. Dont like them. But his accuracy is far more than acceptable.
>>30238646
I've been out of the loop but are people just pissed that it won't shoot ~1moa like a good AR or is it shooting closer to 6-8 moa? (wouldn't surprise me if they kept the shitty barrel attachment system from the regular tavor)
Hey /k/. I've never owned a gun but I've always wanted to. Getting serious on purchasing a beginner. Everyone tells me a .22 because the ammunition is cheap and easy for a beginner. Thoughts? Comments? Opinions and criticism welcomed. Thanks. (Pic unrelated)
It's all personal preference. My first gun was a 12g. Just buy what you like and what you fell comfortable with.
>>30238615
Thanks for the input. I'm thinking of getting a pistol. I would think it'd be easier to manage and clean.
>>30238316
Do you want a pistol or a rifle? Do you want to do hunting, precision shooting, speed shooting, long range shooting, etc?
A .22 rifle is something everyone should own, really, but it's also very limited so I don't recommend spending too much on it. Everyone will tell you to get a ruger 10/22 but personally I've never seen the point in a semi-auto .22, like you're going to need to shoot fast when the squirrel and can uprising begins.
Look at your local gun store for the cheapest...

Just inherited these SKS's from my gran can't get the wooden one to chamber. Both are norinco manufactured in China
Can anyone help
General sks's thread
>>30238040
Need more information. What do you mean won't chamber?
Whenever he bolt pushes the next round foward it gets caught on the barrel
are you using a handful of ammo that gran gave you as well? is it 7.62x39 or something else?
Hahaha Archimedes did it 3500 years ago laserfags BTFO
>if only warships were still made of wood
>if only they still fought directly next to each other
>if only OP wasn't a faggot
Ships looked nothing like that during that time period.
>>30237892
Mythbusters did a couple of shows on this. It didn't work. Even with modern, more reflective mirrors.
How much does an enlisted marine grunt make a year?
More than you can afford pal.
>>30237850
depends on rank, any combat pay/ tax exempt status and incentive pay like flight/jump/sea.
>>30237850
Google it.
Okay, let's try this again: i have mild astigmatism in my right eye. As such, red dots tend to starburst on me. Will an eotech or some other holographic sight work properly for me?
No. You need a prism optic.
>>30237765
Something like this? My vision is 20/15 uncorrected both eyes. The astigmatism in my right eye is balanced out by it being a bit nearsighted.
>>30237780
No. Something like an ACOG / PA Prism scope / low power variable

it's like four total sentences long. wish i could get paid to shit out two sentence paragraphs for a living.
>>30237622
Right?
The article is shit, but they posted it on fuckbook 2 hours ago and the response is hilarious. Everyone is dropping TW and fast.
If you're in the market for a cheap TW helmet, now is the time to start looking.

Just went to their FB page and holy shit. That didn't take long.
Remember this /k/?

What's the policy with shit like this or 'Crusader' patches in the military?
>>30237164
Competent killing devices for the mudslime masses.
>>30237164
The military loves tryhard "Boondock Saints" tier bible verse shit, because they legit think they're on a holy mission from god to get their bennies and free college.
>>30237183

Don't Islamic extremists feel the same?

Can't decide on which AR to get because every gun I get needs to have some sort've pop-culture reference, and the fact that I'm too broke to just throw money at it.
>>30237093
>"Over and out".
I hear this in so many movies, I cringe so hard whenever that sentence is said.
>>30237093
You are in for a world of hurt in Far Cry 2 then. Some of the worst gun mechanics i remember. Maybe another anon has the link where they tear apart all the errors.
It's well known that the germans were more technically advance during the second world war.
If armies today are very advance and require all theses little gadgets that take time to produce wouldn't that mean we've adopted the same tactic that fail them?
>>30236975
I wish that thing wasn't an assault gun, it would of made a good rocket artillery from the looks of it.
>>30236975
Wouldn't call them more technologically advanced considering they relied heavily on horses
>>30236975
No they weren't.
And there's a difference between "pissing away all your resources chasing after wunderwaffen" and having advanced technology integral to your military.
Also, most countries can relatively quickly shift back to making cheap, disposable weapons (with the exception of warships) if they really need to.
>no Midway anniversary thread on the 7th
Well it's the first weekend following. As good a time as any.
wake up kaga
Musashi is my favorite boat because she's big and brown and has gigantic tiddies
Kaga had a hard life.
Hey /k/, you guys probably get a lot of these but I am looking for a small CC pistol for everyday carry. I'm worried about printing and concealability in general.
I don't much care for glocks or kahr. What are some good CC pistols for someone 5'6" and and 126 lbs?
I have shot the Walther PPS (which I like) and the Springfield Armory XDs (in 9mm and .45 ACP). I was also looking at an HK USP compact. Any advice or experience?
M&P Shield
>>30236835
Sometbing to add. I also shot the P30SK by HK and I was pretty accurate with that as well.
Not too ask for too much but between 9mm, .40 and .45, what should I go with. It seems everyone has a different argument for each round
>>30236842
Cool, thanks for the input. Any reason as to why? Also, any input as to caliber?>>30236842
Stuff that absolutely stops you from getting a particular firearm or firearm-related thing. Methods of operation, brand, aesthetics, anything that you just CAN'T deal with. Try to keep shitposting to a minimum. I'll start:
>"A2" AR upper/rifle
>railed gas block
>removable carrying handle
>still has A2 handguards
JUST FUCKING PUT RAILS ON THE HANDGUARD THEN, JESUS. If I'm buying an A2 upper or rifle, I am SIMPLY...

I've been noticing a lot of complaints about detachable carry handles this past month and I'm guessing you're the triggered one every time.
