I think I understand what they're going for. So is this system seems to be for pirates who swarm in PT boats. You have long range ASMs, but what about short range missles (<1 km)? I guess this system would solve that. You can fire a dozen off at a time from a ship and kill six in short succession. Then mop up the rest with melaras/ship security.
If I'm wrong, correct me.
>>30293455
Doesn't a ship only have 1 or 2 of those carousels? If they want to have enough missiles for a swarm they will give up on their availability to launch chaff and other goodies.
Also the Javelin is good for taking on one or two threats, not a swarm. It takes to long to acquire a target and can only go after one at a time.
>>30293569
The system I linked has built in launchers for said countermeasures
why are you putting a billion dollar ship within 1km of a enemy ship?
They don't have armor and can be sunk by an RPG-7

Does /k/ support universal gun safety classes?
Where I'm from everyone had firearm safety during 6th grade. It was practically a prerequisite to graduate. The local sheriffs came in and showed us how to properly shoot and maintain everything from their own sidearms to muzzle-loaders. Gun violence in the area that I grew up in is essentially zero. When I went to school in an urban area people thought that it was weird that I've shot, let alone owned guns. Why not teach kids to respect firearms and get away from their idea of guns that they've developed from the media?
No, dont need a friggen speech class to speak freely and ain't need one for guns
>>30292707
Definitely. I am all for everyone having a gun, but they have to make sure they know how to use it.
Like, when you want to drive, you have to get a driver's license, right? You have to pass a test proving you can drive. And when you want to drive bigger/different vehicles (semi trucks or motorcycles) you have to take a special test proving you know what you're doing.
I think it's entirely reasonable to have the same requirements for gun ownership. A basic license gets you semiautomatic...

Gentlefags and ladyboys,
I need your help. I know guns decently well, but my roommate wants to know sword forms. Can you help me? I need any medieval sword technique shit you can provide. I know nothing about actual swordsmanship,
Have you tried hitting each other with sticks and working from there yet?
>>30292570
Once about five years ago. We took toy light sabers and PVC pipes and hit each other in the park.

What steps can the gun owning community take, beyond armed self defense, to prevent unnecessary gun violence?
What would you do if a buddy with guns was showing signs they might use them in a mass shooting? do yall think those signs exist?
I would jerk him off and spray his hot man load all over my face, anything to keep the children safe.
Yes those signs exist. I'd tell the fucking police, unlike that mudslimes wife
>>30292539
Unless your "buddy" is literally saying they're thinking about shooting some place up in a non-ironic way, no.
Reporting every single young white male who's not very social as a "potential shooter" is stupid.
>What steps can we as a community take
DESU, get a safe. Get a fucking good safe and bolt it down well.Stolen handguns are the fuel for most gang violence, so if theft can be reduced, gun violence can be reduced.

Is there really gonna be new sanctions against the AR, or is it just fear-mongering? I kinda had some other guns I wanted to buy first...
Has anyone heard anything specific about the Type 81s they're bringing in? The examples I saw pictures of were so roughly finished that I can't believe they're asking $1k for a firearm without the design or the specific contractor having much of a track record. I wonder what they're paying the chinese for them?

“It is absurd to believe that we could ever claim victory in a war against organisms that outnumber us by a factor of 10^22, that outweigh us by a factor of 10^8, that have existed for a thousand times longer than our species, and that can undergo as many as five hundred thousand generations during one of our generations"

Hypothetically how many troop and what kind of weaponry would be sent in if a group of /k/ommandos acquired some land together and attempted to secede from the union and form their own independent country?
All.
>>30291488
Initially, the local law enforcement, then the National Guard, then drone strikes, then a full scale ground invasion by as much of the US Army as is needed to put down the uprising.
There really isn't a point at which the government would just give up and say the secessionists won.
>>30291567
So your saying if a group of commandos started buying up tracts of land in Arazona, and fortifying the land into one large armored compound, and then declared themselves a new country, the same thing that happened to Waco would happen to us? Hypothetically.
Let's all laugh and cry at this lovely collection of "modified" sub2000s I found on the net.

Is there an option I'm missing here?
Brazilian monkeys make okayish ones.

Americans make those from castings, casting which are made by brazilian monkeys

hi guys,
if i wanted to be unencumbered travelling with my gun in the usa, then where would i have to live, and where would i have to go to get a permit?
it doesnt make a difference to me whether the licenses are for open or concealed carry, i just want to be able to travel around with a gun on hand to feel safe and make the people around me feel more safe
thanks
>>30290946
No permits. You can go anywhere, and the police will protect you
Does anyone knows if PA has started accepting non resident Utah cc permits yet?
Based Florida checking in. Our CCW has reciprocity pretty much anywhere you wanna go. Stay outta the commie red states.
Hey /k/, /an/ here. I was thinking since you're supposed to be our husband and all you might be able to help me out. I'm in the market to get my first handgun.
I've been around guns all of my life and enjoy hunting and shooting. I even have a Remington 243 rifle in my home office right now. Now I'm looking for a handgun to keep at my bedside and to occasionally bring out with me.
My step-dad used to teach gun safety and concealed carry classes and he recommended a Taurus"Public Defender" .45 or .410. What does /k/ think? Any better suggestions?
>>30290830
Glocks are pretty user friendly and simple. However my first pistol was beretta 92fs heavy but pretty straightforward.
>>30290899
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll look into it
I wouldn't trust my life to a Taurus.
