Is it possible to have a BoB-style series set in the Civil War without it getting all "da ebil whitey"?
I mean, BoB itself was pretty good for the most part about staying away from the Nazi tropes, but I feel there's no way that today's culture wouldn't allow the Confederates and half the Unioners to be portrayed as anything other than hand-wringing Saturday morning cartoon villains.

You do know who owns Hollywood, don't you anon?
I wish for a Warhammer or Halo themed BoB, but we know that shit will never happen.

So, /k/, we all know whats been going on. I've been watching the news and browsing facebook for the past few days absolutely seething at the ignorance, misinformation, and fear mongering taking place concerning AR-15's, gun ownership, and 2A in general. My question for you is how are we going to fight back? It feels like the entire country is being turned away from us at this point. I want to act, but I don't know what I should do. I'm sure there are a lot out there who feel the same way.
Robin Williams made a great George Washington.

Write your representative and tell them you oppose gun control. This is Murrica, your vote is your power in our political system. Make it known that politicians who support gun control will not be reelected.
>>30308223
For those of us who have never done this before, care to share an example of what we should say to them?
What are effective and legal (Germany) weapons for self-defence at home? Lets assume someone breaks into my house and threatens me and my families life while stealing my stuff. I guess pepper spray is not the right thing to use as this could affect myself and just makes the criminal more aggressive.
Or is the best way to just stay calm, call the police and let him steal my things? How can I be sure that he doesn't want to harm us physically?
I have never really thought about those things because until some months ago my village was 100% safe. There was not...

Being European myself, and knowing a little bit of German laws, you are almost better off not using any actual weapons. Even pepperspray can be illegal in some countries, unless you have a license. There are some license free protection sprays on the market though.
Just get a small baseball bat, and make sure not to bash any attacker's skull. Also remember to state clearly that you were scared for your life, and that you demanded the attacker to leave, being unable to escape yourself.
Was hoping you all could help me select some decent engraveable pocket knives that will be gifts for my groomem for my upcoming wedding.
I personally have an engraved swiss army knife i love, but ive also been looking at case amd kershaw.
Trying to keep price low with engraving as i have to purchase a few.
What's the budget and how many do you need?
5 knives maybe $200-$300 total.

How does this work? I suppose I should be asking /g/, but perhaps a fellow /k/omrade has done this before?
The fuzz at the bottom is the file. PNG files are compressed to save space. Re-saving as BMP removes any compression that the PNG format may have had. You'll see an increase in file size in BMP. Removing that compression means that the fuzz is now usable.
The fuzz is a ZIP or 7zip file. At the beginning of the fuzz data there will be some data indicating that it's a zip file. The 7zip program will ignore any data before that, so it ignores the top picture portion, and it starts reading the zip file where the fuzz starts

All righty then. Thanks for the info!

I am totally retarded when it comes to computers,so I can't do it. It would be awesome if someone could do a bunch of these with plans from the Do/k/ument. Simple things, like the sheet metal derringer. Things that our brothers in nogunz countries could make for themselves.
Bumping with pic.
Been wanting to post this for a while, finally got pictures of it.
This is my friend's Chink export SKS, which spent 7 years buried underground during the AWB. The original owner fucked up the process, dug it up eventually and it was caked it rust. He figured, 'I spent $50 on this thing and I own shitloads of better guns now, it's not worth the time to clean up', and gave it to my friend. Wish I got pics of it before he cleaned it but sadly I did not.
Original mag was fucked so that's why there's a tapco mag in. Personally, I kind of...

Y-20 Strategic Airlifter enters service, only 3 years after maiden flight. What a speed.
Just as Jane's predicted.
Tailnumber indicates the 4th Division, which is an operational unit.
Now, China's power-projection will grow larger, as nothing will prevent mass production anymore.

According to Jane's as well, China would want 1000 Y-20s. This number will enable China to deploy entire armored divisions by air.

So I'm looking at starting with an SKS. This one in particular since it's pretty cheap and I can get a hunting license for pretty cheap as well. Looking at moving up north at some point.
Thoughts on this particular model?

bampin.
Also looking at another model with the more traditional receiver.
This is the other I'm considering. A bit cheaper and more traditional. I am an absolute gun noob, having only handled a smith and wesson revolver of some kind back in my teens. I think it was chambered in .38.

How ugly is it gonna be when the general public realizes that any asshole with a 3D printer can get a gun?
>>30307336
By the time the technology is advanced enough to where it is cheaper for somebody to buy a 3D printer instead of just go out and buy a factory made gun, the files for guns printed from 3D printers will be illegal, traceable, and probably protected much how they have antipirate software on music/videogames.
>>30307336
That looks better than my rattlecan plan to insure my guns stay on my person.
Everybody does know, but nobody freaks out because they haven't been used for crime (yet)
Did I do alright, /k/? Also general pro-gun stats, arguments, etc. thread.
>inb4 "gun politics have nothing to do with guns," t. mods
Ya did good man, but with that level of groupthink going on I don't know if it'll do much good. Still, you provided facts and gave statistics without hyperbole. If they start attacking you again you'll know that you're dealing with lost causes.
Still, glad you tried at least.

Hey /k/, anon here.
I'm new to /k/, but not to 4chan.
Anyways, Floridafag here.
My question is, are guns registered to United States Citizens, that are Florida residents?
This is probably just misinformation from people, but I thought that guns bought from dealers are registered to that person.
For example, my sister's boyfriend's truck was broken into, and he reported his handgun stolen to the police, because he said it was 'registered' to him.
My confusion then stems from 'Florida Law Wiki', where it...

There's no registration, but the FFL he bought it from keeps the records of the purchase for a few years to help back track in case of circumstances like that. If he bought it privately he'd just need the serial number when he reports it to prove he owned it.
Long story short, there's no "registration" but if he can prove he owned it there's no problem getting it returned to him in the event of a crime.
>>30307095
Okay, so I'm new to this whole gun owning business.
So for a purely hypothetical situation, if I wanted to own a collection of guns without raising any suspicion/red flags, the best way would be to buy guns from a private party at a gun show?
For any federal agents reading this, I would never want to own a stockpile of guns and/or ammo, because that is a waste of money and this is totally a hypothetical scenario.
>>30307140
no because there's nothing illegal about buying a large amount of firearms and ammo and the only person it would raise suspicion with in the first place would be the FFL handling the transaction. and the whole gunshow meme is stupid, it's the same deal as buying a gun from someone on gunbroker or armslist if you meet up with them to buy it in person.
To the best of my understanding, the point of 2A was to allow the general populace to maintain to the best of their ability the same weaponry the government itself was able to keep. Would that mean any restrictions on non-felon firearm ownership are unconstitutional?
Yeah dude. Shall not be infringed. But for a few decades gun owners got burned for being complacent.
Since when has a thing being unconstitutional ever stopped the feds from doing it?

Germanfag here. My uncle died yesterday, spent the last night with my family, talking about him. I didn't know him very good, and it's actually been the first time i heard a lot of stories about him. I knew he was kind of rightwing, and that he grew up in South Africa and came to Germany after the modern South Africa was founded in 1994. Always sounded plausible to me, and i never really cared for that guy as he and my dad (his half brother) never had much contact.
Turns out he was not just some racist old man, he actually fought in Rhodesia in the 70s. After that,...

/k/ doesn't like to admit it because they like the pictures of men in short shorts, but when South Africa wants nothing to do with you while they're balls deep in the apartheid, that's a bad sign.
