Hi K
We all know that glawks aint best ergo guns, but nontheless im owner of one. Im asking you guys to help me with the choice of a grip. I live in the middle of nowhere and i cant really check which grip would suit me best so i will have to rely on your opinion. What grip for glock you recommend?
>>30311315
What...question are you even asking? Back strap?
I'm legitimately confused.

>large formations of profesional soldiers training with GOAT MAS36 rifles
I ... I think I just came.
Obviously this won't stop ISIS but just having this many MAS36 rifles in single frame gave me a boner.
>fuck it, imma keep both eyes open
>cant see my rear sight under all the mud anyway.

It's nice to see the Kurds aren't neglecting BRM.

Car - Bean VERSUS Car - Byne
-----------------------------
So I am really tired of hearing this argument over and over and over and over. I know it hasn't been on here since everyone is freaking out over the Orlando stuff but I had some arguments recently where this became the semantic focus. I want to put this out there to try and stop it or at least alleviate it. If you want to continue arguing at least you will know / understand.
-----------------------------
In the English language this word would be pronounced Car-Byne. Why? It begins with...

I remember a kid from middle school that went into autistic fits over shit like this. Good work, Brock. Autism shrieks.
>He doesn't pronounce it Kerbin
Jeb would be ashamed.

people who own guns let alone pass the requirements to do so (being 18+) don't argue about stupid shit like this
Are you 18?
Hey /k/ need some advice
Recently purchased a savage axis . 223 for some longer distance stuff because I've always enjoyed shootong my .22 at longer distances. I only have about 150 yards to work with on my property so im not talking 300+.
Before I bought this gun I watched reviews and most people said it was a 1moa or sub 1 moa rifle. I've seen videos of people shooting groupings like that but mine comes no where close to that. I get the scope zeroed decently while shooting, aim dead on a mark, and shoot anywhere from a 2-5 inch group at 100 yards. It...

have you tried different ammo?
I've tried 3 brands of ammo, no expensive competition grade stuff tho. I know no one likes nutnfancy on here but I watched his review of the axis and the kind of groupings he was getting are the kind I get, and he used a wide variety of higher end ammo
All right.
I've lurked here enough to know I'm about to open up a shit show with this question, but fuck it.
As a first time gun buyer, which of the three calibers in which this particular weapon is available will serve me best as a jack of all trades gun?
>>30311011
Do yourself a favor and save up for a Sub2k. I see them sold for ~$400 generally.
>>30311367
Thanks for the advice senpai but this is literally my "better get something before i get infringed" gun.
And the first thing to pop up on Google when you type sub2000 is "why you can't find a sub2000"
I'll save up for something nicer down the line, right now for what it costs hi-point appears to be damn solid
I'm just broke right now and need a gun. Aside from news being scary there's been not-so-small-town-anymore shit going on in tha hood.
>>30311011
Hi-point carbine is fucking shit. I'm told the 9mm is pretty good but they're ugly as shit and they require tools to take down. Not to mention how overly complicated it is to take down.
Are they just looking for more money or what?

It'll take more than 60 hours because you have to factor in the Russians need to rape their fellow soldiers.
>>30310536
More money, and trying to deflect attention from the actual invasion going on.
>>30310536
I mean, if the forces have absolutely no back up and Russia decides to JUST their logistics Grozny style, sure.
Are you more of a handgun guy or a rifle guy? What is your favorite guns to take out when you go shooting?
I'm personally more fond of handguns, rarely like to shoot my ar and ak
>Sig P226
>S&W Shield
Revolvers are the ultimate man toy.
Can't beat the click of a drum and that long DA pull.
Love seeing flash angels; gasses and gunpowder particles float in the air under sunlight.
Smith and Wesson are my best friends, wish I could own an Uberti Schofield.
>>30310471
I practice more with my handguns because I have to drive 2 hours out to shoot beyond 25 yards with my rifle. I feel like being very proficient with my handguns that I carry daily is pretty damn important.
>>30310471
Whatever the situation requires. Have you ever tried to take a dump while having a 20" AR next to you and prepared to use it if necessary? It's a big bitch to fumble around with.
I look at any kind of firearm as a tool. Either a work tool or a tool to create fun. Aesthetically I can appreciate just about anything so long as its classic or has functionality.
Complete noob here.
Me and my GF are getting ready to purchase our first guns, and I wanted to know iif the ones weve picked out are decent beginners pieces to pump a bunch of rounds through to get used to guns in general. Were starting small, so we picked out a Walther p22 for the handgun side of things, and are looking at pic related maybe for the rifle side of things. Are these decent? Or junk? Good for a beginner?
Any help is appreciated.
>>30310451
good on you for starting with .22lr, it's a great round to learn handling with, however I would suggest getting an AR and a conversion kit like one of these
https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/category/parts-and-accessories/parts-by-gun-model/ar-15/22lr-conversion-kits.do
so that you can swap out the parts as your needs dictate, .22lr for plinking, 5.56/.223 for general use
>>30310478
We are looking at an AR probably in the future, but as it stands right now it looks like a lot of them are sold out locally and the few that are still around are going for very jacked up prices (guns that were around $500 or so before the shooting now going for $800+). I know ive read a lot of good things about Walther, and when we went to one of the stores near us they had a couple so we got to hold them. Really good ergonomics for sure, nice weight.
Anything we should be afraid of? Jamming or shit construction...

Also, im an idiot as the pic doesnt even say what brand it is or anything.
Mossberg Blaze-47 is what the AK knockoff were looking at is.
So with Anakonda 16 wrapping up I thought a thread for pics and discussion of the excercise would be in order. Also pics of NATO equipment and former pact equipment is welcome.

Thracian Eagle 2016 media day coming next week.
Pics of MiG-29s,Su-25s and L-39ZA with F-15Cs are expected.
Does anyone have that image of the PKM surrounded by grapes and cheese and such? My google-fu is weak.
>>30310276
On my Desktop, but i'm in bed on my Tablet. Not even joking. I'll Post in half an hour if noone did yet
got you senpai. first result on "PKM stilleben" that kind of picture is called that.
>>30310276
i have the whole series in good quality
So I have a Saiga in 7.62x39.
It causes bolt over base- malfunction with other than orginal mag.
Ie. as bolt returns from most rearward position it goes over the base of the bullet and strucks the ejector groove instead. As a result the cardridge jams against barrel/reciever/bolt.
With saiga's own magazine: the bolt catches ammunition just barely (the beta champher-area of the casing).
With some other magazines the bolt may completely miss the base --> bob-malfunction. (pic related)
Should I get this Saiga to the gunsmith to refit the gun with...

do the rivets holding the magazine catch/trigger guard on give when you pull down on them?
Does the magazine want to wobble backwards and forwards a fair amount?
That's the only problems I can think of that might cause that.
Well, those and perhaps a bolt with a little too much taken off the bottom.
>>30310339
No, all of the rivets on the gun are solid.
The magazine has less than an millimeter of free space to wobble between safety lever stop and magazine catch.
Oh and feedramp hits the casings mouth (in normal feeding), can I go wrong with additional rounding of the sharp edge?
The aftermarket bullet guide was not installed correctly.
This might not be the best board for this post, but you guys seem to be experts on home defense.
How effective is one of these as a guard dog for my home and family?
They may make noise.
Other than that, you're on your own. Hope you have a weapon, cause a corgi isnt gonna do shit to tyrone after it gets soccer punted into your wall
I have one. It sheds, farts and gets walked on. Do not recommend.
>>30310124
A corgi? Please.
Female German Shepherd, trained. Will rip the fucking throat out of someone attacking you, yet still will be gentile with your kids and not freak out the neighbors.
>>30310159
Agreed. They're only slightly less effective than yip dogs, who are guaranteed to make noise.
What does /k/ think of this absolute bullshit?

The AR-15 was out on the civil market 1~ year prior to its adoption.
There were just as mass shootings in his time, they just called it something else and wasn't given as much attention.

In Ermitage, San Petersburg in Russia started new exhibition of modern weapon artists. this is not about weapons themselves but about the art on weapons.
here is the website. have fun.

Neato.
Why would someone buy a pump action shotgun over a semi auto? Are there more regulations on semi auto shotguns? Wouldn't pic related or a Benelli M4 with buckshot be better for home defense?

C O S T
>>30309784
semi autos tend to have reliability problems and are less useable with odd ammos.

Price. I can get a Mossberg for $300 but a benelli is going to run me a mortgage payment
