Hey /k/. Relative newfag here.
Just finished the meat of my lr308/ar10 build and now I'm looking for accessories.
>Namely, a bipod. I've decided to go with a Harris HBLMS (unless anyone can convince me not to).
My question is how tall should the legs be? Should I go with the 6"-9" or the 9"-13"?
>this will be my primary shtf rifle
>I will be using it on both flat and mountainous terrain
Also if you guys could recommend more stuff to spend...

Bump. C'mon guys. No gearfags have anything to contribute?
Reddit was right, /k/ really is /noguns/

Your only option is multi bipods.
Shooting of hills and mountains you need a 9-13" for prone shots but really you want a stilling height bipod for down the hill shots.
I regret having only taken a 9-13 with me on my last hill country hunt.
Tldr buy a few. Or buy an atlas and some extention segments.
Ok so for work I can only carry pistols chambered in 9, 40, or 45 according to company regulations. Do you think I could get away with building 9mm ar pistol? My plan would to SBR it down the road.
I work in one of the shittiest areas around and the nindu's have been getting ballsier lately but thats not the main reason. I've wanted to build one for a while and this may be my excuse.
If I were to build one are there recommendations for parts kits or complete builds that aren't absurdly expensive for what they are?
liability is going to eat you alive
>>30647906
Ya I figured but i poured through all the company regs and all it says is nothing other than pistols chambered in 9mm, .40 or .45 and if the lower says pistol i think i may be good
im trying to get on my liability manager's good side first
Don't be a reason your company rewrites the gun rules.
Just carry a big tactical as fuck hicap 45 and a bunch of mags and call it good
Finally got my hands on the original bullpup.
This is the only prototype designed for a scope, and to my knowledge the only Thorneycroft in public circulation.
Designed by James Thorneycroft, the rifle was the intended to be a smaller infantry rifle that could be used in trenches and on horseback. The rifle was roughly eight inches shorter and fifteen percent lighter than other rifles of the time. Ultimately, it was rejected do to horrible ergonomics and unbearable recoil. The Lee Enfield wound up winning the contract.
Figured some pictures where in order.
This was one of the later prototypes, 1905
It was a straight pull bolt action.
Because of the scope, the bolt handle was turned down and inward. Actually, very difficult to operate.
Scope mounts. Looks identical to early Mauser mounts.
What is your favorite 9mm pistol?
>>30647440
right now is CZ P-07

ppq m1
The one I own, P226 MK25.
I want to build a Lance/Spear with some old stuff. I got a short sword (approx 75cm the whole sword) and a rambo replica knife. What can be the best one? Fore the pole i was thinking 2 different options:
Short sword - long pole like 1.65 cm. For the rambo a short pole like the lenght of my arm.
Basically the short sword is long and impossible to hidden but good for throwing. The rambo can be dismounted and hidden. So basically help me to understan what is the best. Sorry for my poor english.
A spear is easy as fuck. All you need is a fucking stick and a pointy piece of something that won't break when being thrusted into human flesh.
>>30648022
but, kanon, what are the DIMENSIONS of your spear
>>30648361
8" long, 6.5" girth
>ywn never fight in the Crusades
>ywn be in the vanguard in battle
>ywn stare down your infedel enemy before you see the whites of his eyes as you plunge your sword into his gut
>ywn pray with your brethren before and after battle
How does /k/ deal with this feel?
Also post swords and armour

>you will never die in covered in your own guts, shit and blood
>you will never die horribly of infection by a minor arrow wound
>you will never have your chest caved in with a maul and die in agony because your gasps for air cause your shattered ribs to puncture your lungs deeper
leave child, war is awful especially medieval war
US
>spread tanks out to all infantry divisions
Nazi Germany
>massed tanks into panzer divisions
US
>favored maneuver over RoF in squad weapon
Nazi Germany
>favored RoF over maneuver in using GPMG as a squad's base of fire
Why was WW2 German doctrine such dogshit?
>German Reich takes over all of Europe
>lol the Wehrmacht was dogshit.
Germany lost world war 2 100% because of Hitler's poor leadership decision in breaking the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact pact while the UK still stood.
well, that and Japan bringing America into the war, which America was ready to not partake in.
>>30645746
>Muh bar
Haha, really?
>>30645817
As long as America and Russia exist, Germany will never be able to take over Europe. Germany took over Europe because they were fighting forces who were unprepared for an industrialized military force. Their war efforts ground to a halt after Stalingrad, at which point the war was virtually over for them. Even if D-Day had never happened, Berlin would've been crawling with Soviet forces by 1945. Once you get the Allied Rape Train moving, it doesn't stop for anyone.
Who: /K/ommandos in or near the El Paso/Las Cruces area
What: A weekend camp & meet for /k/ommando shenanigans including but not limited to; shooting, hanging out/loose, camping, tactically noping away from skinwalkers
Where: Butterfield Range near Las Cruces, NM
When: August 6th-7th, maybe 5th if you want to get there Friday afternoon/evening for an extra night out
Why: Is there anything else to do here?
How: Send an e-mail to [email protected] to join the slack. Hilarity will ensue, and good times will roll.
The only problem is its to far away for me so I can't go
>>30645589
Where are you at? A lot of /k/ommandos in Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio have been wanting to setup a meet, but no one has taken the initiative.
>>30645697
It's in the name. I'm apparently the only one from Abilene
Can wargame train me to be a military commander?
probably not a really good one
yes. Rommel played board wargames in his childhood.
Totally.
What's your opinion on glock knives? Have heard mixed reviews about these blades. While it isn't full tang it seems to be pretty sturdy regardless.
They're the bomb
If you want a knife to take with during military service, they're cheap and they work. If you want a knife for pretty much any other reason besides collecting, they're "eh" at best. Don't even bother getting a sawbuck blade unless you don't intend to use it.
>>30645200
Yeah, it seems like they don't have much functionality other than for combat purposes.
M and P Shield or Glock 43?
>>30643719
Glock over M&P for quality alone
>>30643719
Walther PPS gen 1.
>>30643719
hold and shoot both to see what you like more
I don't want to intrude on anyone's roleplaying thread and I don't have the time to go to every thread so I just decided to make this. You can use this post as you wish.
1) NATO nuclear sharing is a program where the US agreed to keep nuclear weapons available for use by NATO allies. The weapons were stored and secured by the US, while the hosting nations possessed the delivery systems.
2) There are 50-60 B61 nuclear weapons in Turkey. The exact mods are not public, but would likely be a mix of Mod 4 and Mod 7.
3) The weapons are stored...

Thank you based OPpenheimer for clearing this situation up
>>30643332
I've been gone a while, hope you're well OPpenheimer.
>>30643332
Forgot to add that none of the aircraft in TAF inventory can deliver nuclear weapons.
And yes, it is silly to keep nuclear weapons to give to a country that can't use them at the point in a crisis when they need them the most.
Do standoffs like this ever actually happen in real life?
What's stopping one of them from just shooting the other in the forehead? Would the one who got headshot automatically pull the trigger as he dies (just from nerves) and kill the one who shot first?
>>30642252
Two weeks ago, about 17 days, I met face to face with an armed robber. We were facing down each others' barrels, wondering who would fire first.
I talked him down and convinced him to turn himself over to the police and everything went well.
Now here's the truth - some guy broke into my mother's house and I shot him dead.
Stop pandering to the leftist fantasy that guns are the problem. Guns SOLVE the problem.
>>30642303
real fucking interesting, anon, but your little story has fucking nothing to do with his question.

Bring lots of water/water filter. It's the end of July in Georgia so it's going to be hot as fuck
>>30639566
>bring lots of water
this shouldn't be a problem since we are getting to the site by vehicle... load up your coolers with plenty of drinks and bring a gallon or two of jug water for cleaning, etc.
>>30639586
oh and also camp chairs, they are a god send
What if they put one on my lawn?
How many individuals do you have to tell to get off your lawn before it's okay to escalate without further notice?
>>30632358
Just call the cops, anon.
No need to kill someone for just standing on your grass.
What state do you live in?
In my based state, if I repeatedly tell someone to stay off my property and they refuse, I could probably get away with killing them and claiming I acted in self defense because I didn't know what their intentions were.
>>30632391
>No need to kill someone for just standing on your grass.
Communist. This generation needs to fucking learn what boundaries and private property are. They have no respect for either because they all live in apartments and have never owned a fucking patch of dirt in their lives.
