What do you guys think about the Glock 19 Gen 4 over-all and what do you think about them for a conceal carry weapon?
>>30651972
It be awesome if it was 10mm
>>30651972
I'd wait until the Gen 5 comes out
Which might be soon
>>30652079
but then you got new shit and new problems.
isnt it better to wait til its been on the market for a while? I know originally there were complaints about gen 4 throwing brass all over the place and thats since been fixed but it seems old enough to be without issues now.
what do you expect of gen 5?
What's your opinion on the .40? It seems cool to me, almost the same capacity as a 9mm but bigger and not as big as a .45. That's good right?
>>30651863
It's alright, if you want something that has more power than 9mm yet more capacity than .45 thats a good choice.
Yeah its a great and versatile cartridge that can penetrate car doors much better than 9mm.l
>>30651863
Just get a .45 and stop pretending to be a gay.
So /k/ I just got a glock 17 mos what's a good place to get mags at a fair price. Also what are some good sights and upgrades /k/ recommends?
>>30651646
OMG a Glock?
>>30651646
>glock mags
>fair price
Uh they're not H&K mags, faggot. I think you can find reasonably priced ones anywhere. Have you tried google? They seem to know where the cheap glock mags are hiding.
>>30651768
So what about upgrades
Convince me that I need a hi-cap pistol for CCW, /k/.
The wadcutters are my carry load. Buffalo Bore 200 grain hardcast @ ~930 FPS
They penetrate like 2 feet of ballistic gel
The reload is C.O.P 200 grain copper HP @ ~950 FPS
The Charter Bulldog slips neatly into my front pocket. Only 20 ounces, easy to carry.
Should i want more gun?
>>30651564
I wouldn't be carrying hardcast wadcutters.
>>30651564
good enough for son of sam.
but you should always want more guns.
also i know a old gunsmith who did some nasty stuff with his.
>cut off the ejector rod shroud
>cut barrel down to a inch
>take the cylinder release off.
>welded a pocket clip over the area where the cylinder release was.
>large enough to put a belt through the clip so he can wear...

why not, they do some pretty good damage.
Is the GI bill just a meme or is it actually useful?
Since everyone I've talked to who wants to join the military wants to join because of the GI bill.
I went to school with a bunch of post-mil dudes using the 9/11 GI bill. It paid for their tuition, books, and housing for 4 years of school. They got a mechanical engineering degree and now make $60-$150K. The two guys that did navy 'nuke' jobs prior to engineering made $150K+ starting with a 4 year bachelors. I'd say they did pretty good. Also to note was they all had a hell of a good work ethic and motivation to do a good career path.
I'm sure there's probably experiences in other directions; that's just been my exposure to guys using...

Do the math, the benefits *almost* never make up the lost years of potentially much higher earnings. If one ends up working a dead end job for $40k a year for the rest of his life then maybe he came out ahead.
>>30651538
That's JewMath that assumes the individual would have been able to start earning at that level at the same time they entered the military. That is literally never the case or else they wouldn't have joined the fucking military. The GI bill is awesome, our tuition assistance is bullshit, though. You only get a pittance per year, and they cap the amount you can apply for each semester hour. You're basically limited to shit diploma mills.

I don't get why IraqWarVeteran8888 has such a hardon for ruger 10/22s and thinks they're good for home defence and SHTF, anyone understand his reasoning? Is .22lr actually good for non sporting applications?
>>30651238
Is .22lr actually good for non sporting applications?
not the end all be all but it definitely has a lot of applications.
What can it do in terms of damage? Wouldn't it take too long to kill to be good?
>>30651238
R8 my 10-22. Only gun I have atm and ive got it locked and loaded due to recent BLM protests close to my house. I have 500 rounds. Will I be ok?

Id love to go back in time a hundred years and tell Winston Churchill that in a century, England will have a smaller navy than India.
>>30651391
He lived to see the partition.
Here's a stackup.
The UK is the biggest inside the Mediterranean, Turkey is the biggest in The Black Sea, Russia is the biggest in the Caspian, but has in theory the ability to assemble the biggest navy in the Mediterranean aside from the U.S. Iran is the biggest independent navy in the Persian Gulf.
imagine this scenario
you are out numbered and low on ammunition
you then hear your officer scream AFFIX BAYONETS
CHARGE THE ENEMY

fuck, just found this one. Almost like original quality.
Why the nigger are these so fucking expensive?
>>30650857
>MFW I prefer folding stock
>>30650857
Because Bill Ruger literally shit the mini 14 recievers from his ass. Now that he's "dead" its very expensive to keep his body alive for mini 14 production.
The costs are passed on to consumers.

complicated machining steps
Everyone asks this stupid question about M1 type actions
They're hard to fucking machine
Hey /k/.
Bought my first gun last week and my second gun today. Ended up picking up a cz 75 sp-01. Went out back to shoot it and had four jams in 36 rounds. The previous shot would fire and the casing would eject, but the next bullet would get lodged with the tip in the barrel and the casing still in the magazine and the slide wouldn't close all the way.
This was the ammo I was using: http://www.targetsportsusa.com/aguila-9mm-ammo-115-gr-fmj-097704-p-3657.aspx

With some break in (if it is a new handgun) it could very well tolerate worse ammo. Just use it, clean it, and lubricate it and it might start to feed shitty ammo.
>>30650835
It's brand new so maybe that's it.
Thanks
>>30650856
Break in could take awhile, so don't be disappointed after a few boxes of ammo. Honestly, it sounds like your handgun could do with a feed ramp polishing, but I am hesitant to suggest that (unless you bring it to a professional) for a novice gunsmith. Easy way to ruin a gun.
Is anyone else waiting for an order to be fulfilled?
I've had an order with my LGS for a gen 2 G19 sub2000 in limbo since late February. Also, I'm waiting for a RDB to go for MSRP on gunbroker, but I don't think that will ever happen now...

Keltech is like the opposite of colt.

You got a lot longer to wait chief.
It's going to take forever and a half. It's just the way Kel Tec works
Alright fags, lets start talking about some philosophy of use.

I was in Iraq in 2010 during the Last OIF and operation New Dawn, my platoons job was QRF and EOD escort. It wasn't very bad, worst that happened was a set up where we rolled out to investigate when a supposed IED went off and the insurgents detonated another when we got there. My LT got hit in the femoral artery and I controlled the bleeding as we got out of the area.
We also provided security when an insurgent shot down a Kiowa helicopter, that was kinda funny because the Iraqi army was hellbent on...

Being bored all the time and told to wait, treated like children the entire time.
When you finally move up in rank and are responsible for junior soldiers, you end up treating them like children because God dammit privates gonna act like children until they man up. OH you are still babied even if you have stripes since muh platoon sgt
What's the most practical way for women to conceal carry when they don't wear baggy clothing?
>in b4 purse
Rectal carry. It's what all the traps on here use.
>>30650003
I want to mount my midsized handgun to my chest with molle. What's the best holster out there for this kinda setup?
Also your thread is gonna suck OP
>>30650003
Right between the tidders
But in all seriousness, is it even possible to conceal if all of your clothing is near skin tight?
