how often do you practice shooting from the hip?
i know its never going to be as accurate as lining up the sights but surely with enough practice you can get decent enough to hit a target center mass to hopefully buy you some time to bring the gun up to the ready position and empty the rest of the mag?
>>30481568
I actually do practice firing my handgun from the hip. More often than not I'm using a toy gun while drawing it and simulating firing while a buddy attacks me. I feel that for pistol shooting in the real world the most likely event would be personal self defense from physical attack, so that's what I practice. The practice is less about accuracy, since it's a point blank shot, but for fast draws and being able to physically defend myself for the few split seconds until the gun is out.

Don't shoot from the hip, young man. Just practice to be tactically and technically proficient at firing from a Weaver stance.

You are autistic as fuck
So /k/, Here shortly I will be making a new rifle. Budget is 1500$ max, optic included ( or not, depending on build I have mediocre optics I can use for a while)
My goal , up to around 800 yards, unknown distance, Steel and paper mostly. ( ~ 95% of the time)
I like bolt guns, but I wouldn't mind a semi.
I'm most familiar with .308 win, but other calibers are not out the question.
I currently own a savage 10 fpc w/ McMillan a3 stock in .308.
Any suggestions or ideas?
>800 yards with any sort of accuracy
.30-06 or .338 Lapua Magnum

>1500$ max, optic included
If you were a serious shooter, your glass would cost as much or more than your rifle.
>>30481230
>800 yards
>suggests 338 with the phrase "any sort of accuracy"
all of my wut
Can you shoot blanks on the 4th of July? I live near Philadelphia, I'd be out on my grandpas tree farm.
>>30481072
I personally wouldn't try it. filthadelphia PD would rather arrest you, and those pesky pot heads
>>30481185
OP here
I live like an hour or so away
>>30481072
there are most likely laws against discharging firearms in city limits, at least where i live. those laws dont have any 'exceptions' written into them for blanks. so technically its illegal where i live, and probably is where you live to. i wouldnt do it without looking up your laws
Just bought a matte stainless Cz 75b
Did I pick a good one? Stainless looked prettier, but it was more expensive than the basic 75b it came to around 700.
I have a nickel one in 40s&w.
Lovely gun. Love the feel, accuracy is mediocre, about the same as most /k/ombat 40s I've tried. Trigger is ass though. I might try a DIY trigger job.

Should have bought the high polish, you broke ass bitch.
Ok
Olympics are just around the corner and Brazil has no competence to keep anyone safe, not from mobsters with guns or those terrorists...
do your country has a special force team ready to save your Olympic athletes when they inevitably get kidnapped and held hostage in Brazil?
mine don't.
i'm from Brazil
Terrorists don't take hostages any more.
Nobody gives them shit, and it's effectively a suicide mission.
Bombing and shooting attacks are what the cool kids do.

Otherwise I don't care.

Wasn't this the convoy that the USAF refused to bomb because it was mostly civilians fleeing Fallujah?
I was pondering the other day what I would do if I were an african despot. And I realized that if I can get some industry running in the country plus a bit of equipment from industrialized countries that I can't produce myself, I could manufacture a fleet of WW1 era planes. Since My rivals, would have no air-force to speak of, having even a primitive air-force would be a huge military advantage.

Eeeny meany miny moe, where does the comma go?
I think school should be mandatory.

Low and slow whilst the jenkem brigade turns your ass into Swiss cheese with everything from AK's to DSHK's.
>>30480575
What kind of engine could you salvage for that purpose anyway? I've heard of pleople using VW bug engines for ultralights and shit but I doubt that'd work well as your ghetto CAS,
Does anyone know what gorka is this?
>>30480546
gorka 3 in partizan-M (ss spring camo or whatever it's called)...
what I want to know is what's going on with that VSS stock? That's not the standard wooden one.
>>30480702
I think that's actually a VAL with a scope. It's not even a PSO
>>30480732
That's not a VAL, the stock is something I've never seen before...
And upon further inspection the gorka jacket has a different camo pattern from the trousers.
Just wondering how old /k/ users are, it seems like the average is higher than most other boards on 4chan.

Hey /k/, I'm looking for a new knife. the characteristics are essentially the ZT 0300 but that's discontinued and i can find it anywhere. But what im looking for is a knife with a big handle and blade , blade shape similar. one that doesn't rust and made in the USA. Also preferred is frame lock or tri ad lock with a textured handle. Any suggestions is appreciated. pic related
Benchmade
>>30480492
You could get a ZT200. Not a framelock, but almost identical to the 0300.

Benchmade Adamas
Just applied for my restricted and non-restricted licences (Canada.)
Would like to get a bolt action rifle and a pistol. I've shot some rifles as a kid but that's about it. I'm looking at a Savage .22 for getting not shitty at target shooting.
Any better suggestions? I prefer semi-auto from aesthetic and tacticool standpoints, but I'm open to revolvers.
>>30480383
The 226 was my first pistol. It depends if it fits your hands. I got it because I like the placement of the controls, lack of safety and tbqh, practicing from the transition from the da pull to sa is fun.
Sigs from what I experienced have the best DA pull. Do note that the 228 and 229 exist along with the 239. Those three being smaller and more compact versions of the 226 if you will.
>>30480451
I do have small-ish hands.. not tiny babby hands but on the smaller side. In the course I took, the old cop S&W 9MM, Colt 1911 and a Glock all fit pretty good, with the S&W being on the bigger end of comfortable.
>>30480471
Sigs do have large controls. They recognized this a few years back and began making the E2 grips and short reach trigger to better accomodate people with smaller hands so they could buy Sigs. I had a problem with not getting a proper reach on my 226 during the first year I owned it so I bought both a new grip and trigger in pic >>30480451
I have limited knowledge on how other guns feel and their ergos but I did shoot a CZ75B years back along with a Jericho 941. I do remember the CZ's ergos to be extremely comfortable and nice in my small hands.
But definately do go make the effort into trying out as many possible guns out before making a purchase.
>pic being how my 226 looked initially
Can someone please post that picture of /k/s approved bolt action rifles

This one?
Its for deer rifles, not bolt actions.
there is one?
welp i'm interested too.

Yes, thank you
Was trying to prepare for a happening and needed this
You are about to get into a fight armed only with either a one use 9mm derringer or a fighting dagger. Your opponent will have either one of the same. Which do you choose and why?
>>30480324
I would thoroughly enjoy planting a knife in someone's neck and twisting it.
>>30480379
Do you carry a katana IRL?
>>30480422
I carry a 4" Kershaw and I would stick it in your mother's neck if she gave me a disrespectful sideways glance.
Never heard of them until someone mentioned their price. Anyone here has one or had a chance to use it? What makes them so expensive?
>>30480323
They are one of the best long range optics manuf. on the market. Optical quality, mechanical consistency, etc. If I remember correctly they are issued with the SOCOM bolt guns and the USMC M40A5.
>>30480788
And accuracy international rifles in most western countries.
>>30480323
Theyre extremely high quality. But keep in mind youre kind of splitting hairs past the $1500 mark for rifle scopes.
I'd like to discuss how people obtain firearms on the deep web and what type of weapons are common to find on it
>>30480286
Go back to the DNC, Hillary.
Yes please show us where to purchase these firearms.
Also can you point out where the dogs are on your property? We must shoot them first.
