Well that was fast
So now that the dust has settled and the F-35 has proven to be one of the most capable combat aircraft ever designed, can we all agree that /k/s hateboner for it over the past 5 years has been completely misplaced?
>>30490388
>proven
>>30490388
Only "proven" that counts is "battle proven". So, anon, which battle has it proven itself in?
>>30490388
>proven
why doesn't the US just build Maus tanks with rail guns to defeat ISIS?
There is literally nothing in Syria that would require a rail gun.
Cuz the Abrams is superior.
>>30490262
why dont you just kill yourself?
Califag here looking to buy an ak74 wood furniture for around 500-600 bucks that is california compliant. Any recommendations or tips to look out for?
>inb4 cuckstate, i know trust me
>>30490007
An AK74 is going to be a pain in the ass since you won't be able to mail order any 5.45 and I don't know any local gun stores around me that stock it.
>>30490007
I want to ride a pig, now.

You're not going to find it
Practically speaking would it be possible to change the crew of an aircraft using two planes moving slow with a procedure similar to air refueling so that the airframe could stay longer on the air even when the crew is exhausted ?
Possible, yes, in theory. Practical, no. It's much easier and more practical to have two or more crews on board, assuming the airframe is big enough.
Sounds like someone's been watching Executive Decision
>>30489944
Did you just finish watching Air Force One also?
Are pilots actually allowed to fly very low and take risks when they put out those kinds of video ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gvvr_NyewQ
I mean, wouldn't their CO freak out if they find they voluntary put the aircraft at risk without reason ? Or are those videos made during training where flying low is one of the parameters ?
>>30489747
> dat slavshit Valkyrie
Muh dick!
>>30489747
the first 1:20 seconds of that are retarded, and unwatcheable due to shitty filters
>>30489747
It all depends on the country and the internal culture of the air force in question.
The USAF would not allow anybody to take unnecessary risks with a multi-million dollar aircraft. Other countries might be more liberal. Russia, for example, doesn't seem to mind pilots showing off a bit.

Buying my first handgun soon, thinking of an EAA Tanfoglio Witness, the polymer one. Thoughts?
>>30489671
>Tanfoglio product--the poor man's Taurus
You're doing it wrong. You want a polymer framed service pistol? Try a Glock or an M&P.
Try the Canik tp9sa 350$ pretty gud first time
>Italian version of a Czech version of a Browning Hi Power
They're okay, I guess.
> I know what you're thinking: is there one bullet left in his magazine or none? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off even with a silencer attached. So you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?
>.44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun
Why did dirty harry confuse the bore diameter of the cartridge...

"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not."

Why do so many progun people do this (misattribute modern rhetoric to founding fathers)?
It makes us look fucking stupid, particularly when there's actual quotes about what they genuinely believed about the subject. It misinforms newer/younger progun people who might then parrot because someone they respect or listen to for advice repeated the horseshit to them. And honestly, there are actually plenty of things these figures DID say or write that...

Why do people buy AK's and CZ's?
>>30489334
I've never heard that attributed to TJ before your gay ass.

because they secretly want to be Che Guevara like rebels and stick it to the man.
I just raped my wallet buying ammo yesterday but with July 4th sales going on I'm considering just keeping the rape going and finally getting a .22 and maybe a scope for it.
I'm considering a Ruger American rimfire or a CZ 455, but I have no idea at all which entry-level scope I should be looking at.
Any recommendations? I'd be using it almost exclusively for making holes in paper at a range if that makes a difference.
I just got a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 EFR for a Ruger 10/22.
So far the adjustments are true and repeatable and the glass is very clear. I paid $189 and shipping for it.
>>30489421
eh, i'd say get a vortex for equal quality and a waaaay better warranty
>>30489421
That was one I was looking at because it seems to get good reviews, I'm just totally new to optics and in my Fuddness I'm stuck in thinking anything that cheap is going to be garbage.
If it's good though I might pick one up while they're on sale.
Hey /k/ just moved here looking for some good ranges and a good gun store that has cheap online transfers.
Ranges:
Target Time Defense in Blue Springs (great prices on guns, newest range in town)
Frontier Justice in Lee's SUmmit (best range in the area, a little pricey)
Crossfire/Armsmart in Independence (huge selection, kinda old and dirty)
The Bullet Hole in Overland Park, KS (older, have weekly USPSA/IDPA)
Centerfire Shooting Sports in Olathe, KS (awesome rental selection, second nicest range in area)
Lake City gun range in Independence (all outdoor. 100yd rifle, 25 yd pistol, 3x trap/skeet bays, archery range. Super cheap, but highly regulated)
Pioneer...

Do you find many western Europeans in the US military?
I'm getting an internship for a whole year in Georgia which may lead to a full time position within the company afterwards which will give me permanent residency.
Basically I'd like to earn my citizenship through military service.

>>30489187
>Do you find many western Europeans in the US military?
Nope. But I would have liked to encounter them. The only foreign nationals I met were Mexican, Canadian and one character from the UK.
Why is steel shellcase ammo cheaper and will it ruin my 9mm?
Steel is cheaper than brass, and generally not reloadable. Unless it uses a corrosive primer it shouldn't do any damage, and even then you're fine if you clean your gun after shooting.
>>30489122
Because the quality is shit, it's made by slave labor in former eastern block nations, and while it may not ruin your gun it will malfunction very often.
Cheap things are cheap for a reason, anon-san.
Only steel case ammo I've ever heard people NOT complain about was Wolf. Love their 762x39 ammo, but I've never tried their other calibers.

And what about lead core FMJ rounds?
