Are the crotch straps doable /k/? I want a way to hold down my plate carrier to prevent it from flopping around, currently I leave it somewhat loose for maximum breathability but it does bounce a bit when sprinting. Can these be done without pinching the hell out of my sack?
You don't want straps in that area. Neat but bad idea. Strap it to your belt and adjust from there.
>>27582956
That's a harness, do you plan on scaling the Grand Canyon or Skyscrapers?
>>27582956
>Can these be done without pinching the hell out of my sack?
how big is your sack?
How come in nearly every firefight video I've seen the enemy is never visible in the videos? Judging from the audio in most of them it seems like even the participants aren't sure where they're shooting from either and just start mag dumping in the general location of the shots. Somebody please explain modern firefight tactics to me.
I'm not dogging on them or anything, I just don't understand it at all.
>>27582371
they are far away and cameras are bad at making far away shit visible if not zoomed in(worse than human eye).
If you have someone shooting at you from 60 feet away, the last thing on your mind is to pull out a camera, when they are that close you shoot or get shot.
>>27582371
My buddy did a deployment in Kunar and he said average engagements that were not inside a house were between 350-500m. I imagine that would be hard to see on a shitty gopro
so /k/, the time has come. I ordered my AR45 lower today.
Still haven't decided if I am going to do a rifle or pistol length upper. Leaning rifle for now. RMW DI because I hate blowback.
Let's hear some ideas and see your ARs in offbeat chamberings. That includes you 6.8 SPCfags, you're special snowflakes too.
>>27582161
cool, i always wanted a .45acp ar15 but don't want to spend the money
>>27582161
DI .45? Neat. How much did the build cost you overall? Always thought about doing a 9mm AR build instead of a 5.56 when I get the funds.
>>27582185
it's blowback not di
>was able to buy an AK-47 for $150
>my friend sold someone a gun
>bought a pistol for $100

Assuming getting a gun is just that much easier now, my question is what would banning or just making it harder to legally purchase guns actually do?
>>27582117
start a, not very civilized, civil war
>>27582117
It would make it harder to legally purchase guns.
Seriously though, it would keep guns out of normal citizens hands over the shitty criminals.

Yeah no.
Good evening /k/omrads.
I've recently acquired a Winchester XPR in .270 and now I'm in the market for some ammo.
Here is my situation:
As I said above, rifle is a NIB Winchester XPR.
It came with a Crossfire II 3-9x40 scope.
I'm looking for two types of ammo.
I'd like ammo for plinking/sighting in the scope.
I also need ammo for durr and hog. I'm in the North Texas area if that helps regarding whitetail size.
My plan is to sight in the rifle at 200 yards and reach out no further than 400 yards on...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

>Plinking
Cheapest stuff you like on the shelf.
>Sighting in the scope
The exact stuff you would use on your hunt.
>Hunting ammo
The Good stuff. Your pic related, 140gr SST will fuck shit up just fine. Hogs, Deer, anything in between, you're good to go.

faggot
>>27581954
That's a fine rifle for white tail hunting, nogunz.
What handgun fits your hand the best?
>S&W M&P

>or my dick like a wet tight vagina
>bring sights to eye level with eyes closed
>perfectly aligned

Steyr M9-A1
Like it was carved just for my hand.
CZ75, shit is pure awesome
>Sig P226 mk25.
Beautiful, perfect in every way.
Doesn't fit my hand at all. Went back to XD 9
Let's say we were able to build a durable robot capable of performing the maneouvre pictured and that is able to do so at above average speeds while charging an enemy, what is the likelihood of such a weapon being defeated?
Note that in between each step a savage metal kick is delivered, while the deadly windmill effect is constant.
Can this design be perfected?
>>27581419
Redesigned the chassis for more areodynamism and branded it for copyright reason. You'll also notice a wicked spike has been added to improve lethality.
Thoughts?
Double wakizashis help to improve the robot's deadly reach while improving its earodynamism.
Wakizashis have been added to the feet modules to increase the overall area coverage of the blades whilst in the middle of the kicking motions, and improve the earodynamism.

Any reason to spend money on a charging handle? Anything that a 100 dollar handle does that a 20 dollar one doesnt?
Planning my first AR. TY.
>>27580809
bigger latches and ambidextrous
>>27580829
Meh. I'm not ambi, and the rifle's for me, so that's not a huge deal I guess. Some expensive charging handles out there, you know.
>>27580960
well then i guess you don't need it then.
Guys, I'm about to be fucking done. I spent $70 on a shitty air rifle and scope to get in some cheap shooting practice in my back yard and the scope absolutely refuses to zero. There's a few problems I could have, but I'm not sure which one needs fixing.
>Crappman 4X15 sight ($5)

On the President's first day as acting Commander in Chief, a bill is signed in to law changing the law in regard to Firearm Ownership to very controversially match another country's standards.
That country is Pakistan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Pakistan
Everyone who has passed a NICS check is grandfathered in but must declare all firearms, and if you currently own firearms, but have never done a NICS check you can simply take one and declare all weapons.
What would you do?
I do what the Pakistanis do.
Completely ignore it.
Pakistani equivalent of boating accident...

do we still have questions that don't deserve their own thread threads?
does anyone own/is knowledgable about the norinco m14? I'm looking into the shorty because it's cheaper to fire than my m1 carbine.
>>27580495
.308 is cheaper than .30 Carbine? Huh.
Also, assuming your not in Canada, every Norinco M1a I've ever seen has been beat to shit and just a little cheaper than a Springfield.
I love mine, OP. Norinco is typically a pretty good company when it comes to rifles. They're pretty well made. The only issue I've ever had with mine was third party magazines needing the feed lips tweaked. My front sight post is noticeably off center but shoots fine.
Here's a video from one of the more recent times I went shooting. Favourite part about the rifle is that subtle ping after every shot. You'll notice I was still working on tweaking the magazines so it liked ejecting the fifth.

m1 owner here
fuck yeah it is. where have you been? you also cant find it anywhere outside of the internet. even the fudd stores dont carry it, and if they do, they want $1 a round because its an "antique round"
So i've watched some videos stating you can get light surface rust off without effecting the blueing via some polish and OOOO steel wool. The surface rust on my P38 is pretty light, i don't know if you can even see it in the picture but i'm worried about taking steel wool of any fineness too it. I know plenty about rust prevention but once it's there i have no clue.
Any one a bit more experienced in rusty guns know if this would be a safe thing to do?
>>27580021
> ww2 bluing

who told you such dumb shit?
>>27580021
Bronze wool is what you want.

>>27580021
If some ammonia based solvent, and a cotton rag wont get it off, you arent getting it off without effecting the blueing.
