Hey /k/, need some advice here and I need to be serious. I know we've got a few cops here and I'd like to ask them a few questions.
I'm going to college in the end of August for an AA degree to start and then go from there. I've been debating on whether or not to go to school to become an LEO.
It's something that I've wanted to do since I was a kid, I wanted to either join the military or become a cop. I've decided against the military but the cop option is still open. So here's my questions;
1. Is it worth it anymore?...

Been a cop for 10 years.
1. No
2. Average lifespan of a cop is 56 years.
3. Depends on the department. Expect 36k-54k base salary.
4. Shit goes down, you follow policy and procedures or at best you get fired, at worst you get arrested.
5. It's not hard by any means. I saw only about 3% of the class fail out.

Thanks.
I should tell you that I live in Polk county FL, I don't know if that makes a difference for anything.
What education would be required? Can I go into law enforcement right out of college? Or do i need to go to some training program? Also, what about it isn't worth it anymore?
What I meant by

First, tell us you're not going to a for profit career school. Second, get the Bachelor's degree. If you live in a state where few departments will hire you without certification, pay for yourself to go to an academy. You'll easily get a part time job and will have much better chances of getting a full time job.
1. Yes, but, that answer depends on where you're working
2. Yes, a 12+ pound duty belt and riding in a car for 8-12 hours per day
3. This depends on where you work and it's...

I suppose most of yours apply to me, minus combat experience, swapping swimming for running, and good field dresser only when it comes to small game.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess muhreen?
Autistic.
Antisocial.
What is this called and why does it look so disgusting?
I think it's called "OP's shit taste"
it's the shoulder thing that goes up, and the feeling of revulsion you are experiencing is because of the high-capacity baby-killing that it enables.
kids these days who think they need to free float to improve the accuracy of wwb m193 and a rail for a surefire, or that a2 grip isnt best grip
or that a2 stock is too much (im a 5'5 manlet and have used them with IBA)
what's the most "scary" 50 state gun you can think of?
All I can come up with is a 16" pump-action mossberg with a pistol grip, no stock, and a box mag kit. CA legal.

M8

you happy now?
Looking to get a "Break in Case of Crusade" display.
Anyone want to share Crusade era weapons that might still be useful against half naked savages?
Stuff that can actually be bought would be better.
Saw a few things on cult of athena, but all that stuff is wall hanger.

A 12-18" machete would probably be the most practical answer, but these are a little more pokey-stabby fun:

Steel isnt listed, but their review says MILD steel.
I'm looking for a functional piece, mild is crap.
>>30500941
A machete would really depend on the style and finish. I don't want some piece of shit cheapo metal stamp.
I love cold steel, but a gladius isnt really a crusader weapon. Ill go review their stock tho.
Is there anything more manly than a battleship?
A spandau
A ship of the line.

Can anyone attest to the accuracy, smoothness of bolt action, and reliability of some of the cheaper bolt action rifles out there?
I was wanting to get into getting tight groupings at further ranges, anywhere from 100 to 500 yards or so.
Wasn't sure if some of the cheaper rifles like the Savage Axis or Ruger American or Mossberg Patriot could do that, even with a good scope.
LGS said to spend as much on the scope as I did the rifle itself.
Honestly bro, this isn't the best place to get serious opinions on things like this. Even that "/k/ approved" pic is BS. Most answers you get here will be from elitists, noguns, posers, or fanboys who just repeat nonsense they've heard.
Just find an archived thread on a more specific forum, and you'll find all the info you'll need.
There are budget guns that will serve you well.

long range shooting is kind of the opposite of other shooting disciplines
the scope and ammo you choose are very important to making good groups once you start reaching out beyond 300 yards (300 - 600 yards is only medium range shooting to riflemen)
if you want moa or sub moa at medium range most people would say you're going to need a leupold mk4 or something in the same class. you can get away...

i forgot to add that yes, the LGS is correct, to fully take advantage of your gun's accuracy you're usually looking to pay equal to or greater than the cost of the rifle on a piece of glass.
reloading is also a key component of tack driving at long range. in the long run you save a lot of money, but 308 is an expensive cartridge even if you do get set up reloading.
if youre new to long range you can always get a .223 and shoot tight groups in the range you mentioned for a fraction of the cost....

I just want you to know that it's actually kind of hard to search for any mention of a gun that fires bullets that fire other bullets.
Martini Henry since blackpowders are generally loosely regulated
What are you cunts doing for freedom day? I'm about to head to the range with the ol' charleville and take care of some redcoats

Remember the colonies fondly as I sit here in my chair and wish we had never broken away from Britain whilst shedding a tear over my British flag and cradling my Enfield sadly.

How come sometimes bullets completely split a person's head open and sometimes they dont? I watch a lot of Religion of Peace execution videos and sometimes they just get a bullet sized hole in their head, and sometimes they get split wide open. Same type of bullet, whats the difference?

If it's all just ball 7.62x39 then I'd guess that some shots just yawed sooner resulting in a more devastating wound.
Although the hajis could have some old HE rounds lying around too. Who knows.
>tfw been wearing my Civil Air Patrol around town all day and not a SINGLE person thanked me for my service
when did this country become so ungrateful towards those of us who serve? I used to get free meals and drinks all the time, especially on holidays. this makes me depressed as hell. any other vets having a shitty 4th?

Yawn. Saged.
Also it's not veterans day faggot.
Hey CAP guy, haven't seen you around in quite a long time.
What would the legality be of being able to offer renting out a router and jig to customers for use in building their own ARs?
Could it work or would the Nazi-ATF gestapo your white ass?
Write them a letter and you will get their opinion. It's the only way you'll have any guidance because it entirely depends on how the ATF is feeling that day.
And it has to be a physical letter, they refuse to answer emails.

You'd probably have to completely *sell* the person the machine/materials who would then sell it back once they are finished.
And they'd probably have a problem with it if you were making a business out of aiding the manufacture of firearms without any sort of ffl.
there's a similar thing called a build party. usually it's someone with a milling machine who invites a bunch of people with 80% lowers to come over and finish them on their machine. IIRC it's legal as long as the person who is going to own the lower does the work. in CA (maybe nationwide) if a CNC machine is used, you can run into legal trouble because the programming in the machine counts as a third party working on the lower
tl;dr as long as the person doing the work is the person who's gonna own the gun, you should be OK. As the other anon said you...

Here's what I've found so far, I think it looks alright.
I was inspired by a poster a few months ago who brought info for Walmarts 300 dollar AR's so please get in, share and find them fucking deals for your fellow killmandos. The kube demands it. (Or just make fun of all that cringe, I don't give a fuck)
Pic unrelated. Though I have a full dump on bow fishing if wanted.
