So my fellow kommandos.

are revolvers alright for HD?
evrn if not what wheelgun should i buy/ wpuld be worth yhe investment
>>27942707
I'm going with Ruger GP100. Tough as hell, decent trigger, etc.
Anyone who cares will be in here soon to argue about whatever year s&w they found and fap to the thought of funding a deal on a Python.
But the answer is GP 100.
>>27942707
A gun is only as good as its user. If you do well with a revolver, go for it.
Mr73 would be a good investment, unless those Frenchies sell us all of their old surplus.
(Pls do France)
>>27942761
GP100 is a great gun and a great value.
It would not be a mistake to buy one but S&W are better.
>>27942707
>are revolvers alright for HD?
Yeah, but the limitations are generally the capacity and you also want to consider over penetration and penetration through walls, particularly for home defense. Do you live with people, in an apartment? Choosing a magnum round with a heavy load can cause concern.
Capacity and...

Looking at bullpup rifles for hunting white tail.
Been eyeing the Keltec RFB because it is chambered in 7.62 NATO. I have had a Keltec P32 before and it did good at the range for a compact handgun, so Keltec is OK in my book. Any opinions?
Generally looking for a bullpup rifle for hunting white tail deer, maybe even wild boar if they make it this far.
Also, always had a soft spot for the AUG.
RFB is a shit, wont fire anything and have heard all sorts if problems with the brass extraction because it goes alongside the barrel for some reason.
>>27942658
The rfb is bad as a bullpup and atrocious as a rifle. I dont know what bullpups arr available in 7.62 but dont get the rfb.
>inb4 get the m90
>>27942676
The early ones had some QC issues, but the later runs worked it out
I was looking for a scope which lead me to
Burrisoptics.com and pic related
What other /k related companies have this type of warranty?
Leupold are even better. You can intentionally destroy it and they will fix or replace free of charge no questions asked.
Hi Point does the same.
Nikon just recently upgraded their warranty to match Leupold's 'no questions asked' policy.
Any one know abou weaver scopes?
Practical or pure aesthetic?
>>27942414
There is already a knife thread you massive faggot. Try checking the catalog next time.
>>27942414
Considering the Finns have been using that style knife for around a millennia, its a practical design. Not so much in the US where everyone batons the fuck out of their knives and use tips as pry bars.
Pretty good.
So what would the best bullpup be?
My ideas
>full ambidextrous controls including charging handle
>magazine release by trigger like a traditional rifle has, but also a backup release where the magazine is located, like the DesertTech MDR has, allowing you to reload by letting the mag drop while you grab the new mag, or do a retentive reload by using the release by the magazine to grab it as it falls
>adjustable stock to eliminate the "one size fits all" problem like the VHS has
>make the action and such as short as possible to allow the most configuration options, letting operators be able change foregrip position instead of the built in "one size fits all" foregrip many bullpups have
>some sort of ambidextrous compatible ejection solution, forward ejection, downward ejection, perhaps something that can be either to the right or the left changed by flipping a switch instead of needing tools or extra parts like other guns that have a swappable ejection port
>balance point at or behind the grip for comfortable handing and less fatigue
>non-shit trigger
>at least capable of 1.5moa with non-match off-the-shelf ammo
>doesn't peg lefties in the eye with brass
>not pinned MD, not-shit OEM MD (IE, no fucking A2)
>no ridiculously fucking short sight radius a' la P90 and F2000
>no integrated optic, they are universally shit
>NON SHIT TRIGGER
>>27942367
Pic related of course.
sounds like you want an MDR OP. should fulfill everything but the adjustable stock requirement. of course, that's assuming they ever release the damn thing
Unfortunately, in my research, some of the claims about Van Riper basically making shit up are unable to substantiated, but there are a number things which stress credibility.
One aspect, though this is more on the journalists, that strains credibility, is the idea that the US Navy is not prepared for saturation attacks by anti-ship cruise missiles. This is the raison d'etre for the Ticonderoga CG and Arleigh Burke DDG. Because the Soviets were prepared to throw more and more capable missiles at US CBGs.
An aspect which seriously strains Van Riper's credibility...

In conclusion, ignoring hearsay, it is difficult to find the conclusions drawn by journalists about Van Riper's tactical acumen well-considered. There is also more information that casts into doubt the honesty of Van Ripers account; more context is necessary to make an honest assessment.
Finally, fuck Malcom Gladwell - pseudoscientific hack and master of the obvious. And fuck War is Boring.
Thank you

so, i'm looking into getting a modular plate carrier and i keep seeing Condor stuff. they look good and have a decent price tag, but all i hear is you guys talk shit about Condor. what's so wrong with it? is it something you just make fun of or is there a reason i shouldn't buy pic related.
>>27942314
>Shitty stitching.
>Shitty fabric.
>Turbo shitty elastic.
Condor is the stuff airsofters get, because its not actually meant to hold weight for extended periods of time.
If you're actually wearing it in a combat environment day in and day out, it's going to fall apart. If you're just wearing it for cosplay on /k/ and sunny days at the range, meh, not exactly a hard use environment.
>>27942340
what would you recommend me getting then? i plan on putting AR500 plates in it among other things.
>>27942369
Considering that all you can afford are AR500 plates why are you even asking besides airshit tier vests?

So I found out today that I was lucky enough to have all of my information leaked to ISIS by hackers. The DoD said they'd possibly give me some credit fraud protection, but I'm worried about them doing something more serious, considering I'm now on an ISIS hit list.
Wat do /k/? Should I buy more firearms and pray to the sun god, or are these just empty threats?

What even makes you think they give a shit who you are
A think tank has just said there's no way the United States can afford their planned F-35 numbers procurement.
http://www.airforcetimes.com/story/military/2015/11/10/experts-bomber-cost-could-upset-f-35-plans/75528532/
Soon after that Air Force officials said themselves that they might not be able to afford planned purchases and are investigating whether or not they can build new 4th gen planes to keep on policy. Upgrades were also included as part of this new investigation.

k, son wants to join the Marines. He's 23, adrift in life, working as a waiter in a restaurant right now.
Graduated college, has BA in art, half-assed ambitions to be an artist but no drive. When he's not working he hangs out with friends and smokes weed.
Never expressed any desire to join the military, but his childhood friend is joining and took him to a recruitment event and now he wants to join up with his friend.
I'm afraid this kid is going to regret this decision, as there is nothing in his character to indicate he would thrive in...
