That AK is fucking disgusting.

Has anyone developed a CQC art for pistols? Lets say sub 10 feet.
Is it possible to combine hand to hand combat with gun use in a coherent fashion?
What would be the best way to train?

Or if possible

Even Bruce Lee carried a gun

Hey guys. I want to buy my sister a moderately priced handgun for Christmas (talk about a good gift lol). She's 24, slightly above average strength. She travels all around the country doing model work for new alcohol brands, energy drinks, etc. She thinks its pretty stupid but the money is damn good. Anyway, some of the places she goes to are fairly shady (higher crime cities, etc), and she currently has nothing but one of those small baby sized 1M volt stun guns.
But enough rambling, I was thinking of getting her a G17, BUT I don't know if I should instead...

maybe youd want to ask her what states she visits frequently and get her something compliant in the shitty states. although licensing might be a requirement in those places. glock 19 might be better if she has small hands or maybe try the new ones in .380.
>>27953619
I don't know how much flak I'll catch on here for saying this but quite frankly I don't care about the varying laws, and neither does she. She travels all over the country, she's been to NY, NJ, and other liberal states so far.
The gun is just going to stay in her purse in case something really bad is about to happen to her, otherwise it might as well not exist. She's a very responsible, intelligent adult.
>>27953657
yeah, she likely wouldn't have anything to worry about if she's responsible with it.
Aussie here, just has all my guns seized today with no compensation. I got a peeding ticket the other week and the police used that to deem me an "unfit person" and therefore not trusted to own a firearm.
I'm numb, what do I do /k/?
>>27953287
show proof first
>Guns seized
American please, you're trying way too hard. We actually live in a civilized country where police need warrants.

Declare yourself to be a /k/ultist of the /k/ube and sue your government for suppressing your right to partake in the holy sacrament of the Murdercube.
is he holding a real weapon? If so what model is that? This kid goes to our college and I am afraid he may go AWOL (this is Canada so I am just verifying if that shit is real and how one strict licensing is).
>>27953201
He has shit trigger control, that's for sure.
Gun is legal with a Restricted permit in canuckstania.
thats a paintball gun, but thanks for coming out...
>>27953201
Paintball, you can see the air hose under the grip.
Were any other /K/ommandos at the sporting clays competition in AZ today? I saw some over and under shottys worth more than my car.
pic related, thats where it was at, biggest shooting range in the US.
I don't shoot at Ben Avery. But I shoot every week at Rio. I shoot either TNS and/or USPSA. Not clays, I know, but hello fellow AZ /K/ommando.
The best thing I saw t the event was some old black dude with a semi auto Barretta 12 gauge, the thing had purple laminate furniture and "Too Legit to Quit" engraved in gothic script along the handgaurd. It was as if I had seen the face of God, and God was a pimp.
>>27953133
Seems kind of bizarre and overly elaborate to build a facility exclusively for shooting some poor sap named Ben Avery.
http://www.kyma.com/government-reports-show-f35-not-ready-for-combat/
“The Marine Corps declaring the F35 ready for combat was merely a PR exercise.” Smithberger says ideally when jets are taken into combat they need to be ready to go about 80-percent of the time, during this test they were having trouble getting them to work 50 percent of the time.

>The MoD has been struggling to find the money for planes for the two aircraft carriers. Anything less than at least 20 planes for each carrier would be viewed at Westminster as a political embarrassment.
>The way around this for the MoD is to stress that only one carrier is likely to be operational at any time, with the other being used for training or being refitted, so planes...

Science takes time. You can't rush innovation. We just have to be patient.
Considering it's more realistic than Fallout, but not as realistic as say STALKER, nor certainly not ARMA, still. What level of nukes would have rendered Moscow as it is in Metro? MT ranges, KT ranges? In show, is this basically what a city would look like post Full Exchange?
>>27953032
You really can't say, since the destruction seems to follow the rule of cool, with many building inexplicably intact.
Though I'd say relatively low yield overall.
>>27953056
So I'd understand correctly full exchange would have left NOTHING but water filled radioactive craters?
>>27953076
>So I'd understand correctly full exchange would have left NOTHING but water filled radioactive craters?
I wouldn't say that, but there'd definitely be far less than shown in the games.
The lore states that it was mostly a mix of chemical and biological bombs with a few nukes thrown in the mix, as well as space soviet psychic technology/supernatural shit that's never really explained.
It isn't realistic by any measure.
Still insanely cool setting...

I was wondering, /k/, what do you guys think is the best legal to carry blade for self defense? Something that can hold an edge, isn't too big or too small, and is durable, obviously.

Where faggot?
Why was the AIM-54 retired when it was basically the perfect air-to-air missile? Couldn't they have upgraded it?
>Kills bombers in one hit
>Powerful enough to kill multiple fighters in one blast
>200 km range (could have gone further with upgrades)
>Mach 5.0+ (no escape)
Since they're trying to make a new longer-ranged missile, they should just bring back a new, improved version of the AIM-54 that is compatible with the F-35.
>>27952797
Didn't they have a terrible hit ratio?
>>27952820
That's what I remember about them. BVR hit probability was essentially zero and within sight was still terrible
Also they are fuck huge
ITT we describe weapons platforms as if they were women. also, gwg thread
AK; biker bitch of the gun world. she wants nothing from you except for you to ride her hard and put her away wet because she can take it. not the prettiest or the finest, but gets the job done. may be sleeping with a bunch of other guys, but not as many as the AR15
>>27952785
This is difficult
AR15; the basic white girl. shes cute and fun. she demands so many expensive accessories and for just $100 more, you can get her the better version of said accessory. she will bleed your wallet dry. she is on the cover of every magazine and is sleeping with every other chad out there but you are okay with that because she is america's sweetheart rifle and you are happy to have your chance with her.
AUG; super sexy quiet girl. not fucking everyone else in the country, she has class. has limited accessories so wont ask you for much, but the things available are expensive as hell and you will feel bad for not providing. probably marriage material, the poor need not apply.
Anyone know any good SHTF and hunting rifles? My budget is under 300, not including ammo, or work needed. Christmas is coming early, I've decided.
Pic unrelated
You can get pellet guns at walmart for $40ish sans background check. Good for small game, cheap as fuck for poorfags.
>>27952736
>shtf rifle
can you faggots just stop?
>>27952736
That's a small budget. Nugget and ammo?
Just saying, you don't need to drop a lot of coin for a short-medium range hunting rifle with decent irons.
Sight it in with 147gr surplus ammo, confirm sight-in and hunt with 150gr soft points.
>never shot a gun
>never even owned a gun
>only have about $250 to spend
>pretty liberal politically and never felt like I've needed a gun before or others really needed them
So I've never owned a gun, held a gun, or even shot a gun before.
I'm living all on my alone now and in a very bad neighborhood. I've came to the realization I would feel much safer inside of my home with a firearm. Regardless of my political...

Why not put the cylindrical magazine around the barrel?
>nb4 you'll shoot yourself
No I won't.
>nb4 you'll cook the rounds off
not if it's filled with asbestos.
Because you'll muzzle your own hand every time you replace the magazine.
Horrific weight balance.
>>27952620
If you're replacing the mag there's good chance the gun is empty.
Also, stop being a wiener, Nancy.
Post a picture of the first gun you ever shot (or the first you remember)
