The jewelry store close to my house was robbed today, 4 guys with semi autos and bullet vests. I heard the gunshots from my place.
It is time for me to arm myself. Beretta here I come.

question for navyfags
A friend of mine said it would be really easy for someone to sneak onboard a docked boat and set off munitions stored aboard assuming he had a supply of blasting caps (the type you can buy online). He suggested that an organization like ISIS would use this sort of tactic. Any validity to this or is he just speaking out of his ass?
I think he's speaking out of his ass.
But anyways:
- I don't think its going to happen on any sort of big, important ship with tons of explosives on board... which is just carriers, and anything that carriers aircraft bombs in general
- gun ships aren't in service anymore, so setting off small caliber ammo isn't going to be anywhere near threatening for the ship
- if the ship does for some reason suffer enough damage to sink... well, it's docked. Loss of life will be minimal, it'll just hit the bottom and sit there while people...

The idea would be to disable/sink the ship and destroy whatever's onboard, not necessarily killing people. His idea was that it would be some sort of transport ship and not a carrier. But you bring up a good point about civilian ships, there's at least twenty or thirty major explosions/disasters that are fertilizer ships blowing up.
It's probably very easy if you had some inside knowledge & were willing to die doing it
Where can I get a crank for my new 80s 50rd drum for my 10/22
http://www.cabelas.com/product/BMF-Activator/707343.uts
Why didn't you just google 10/22 trigger crank?
If you wanted a discussion, you could have started a discussion--instead, now you have your answer and this thread can die.

That thing looks ridiculous, load it up and take a pic.
>>28034152
This is not that. I need an Orange crank handle for this mag
Why isn't straight pull bolt action a thing? Seems like an improvement in comparison to the normal bolt action.
Is it expensive or unreliable?
>>28033956
Expensive and more complicated.
Requires more complex machining and design work than rotating-bolt guns. Look at a Blaser R8 compared to a Mauser action.
>>28033956
The K31 is a good example of a properly-made straight pull. It takes good steel properly heat treated to make that bolt. Put another way- I wouldn't trust a K31 if it was made by anyone other than the Swiss.
Conversely, look at the 98 Mauser. The WW1 ones use steel similar to what we use for rebar nowadays. It's the design that makes up for the material deficiencies.
1. What is the absolute least expensive used pistol/rifle/shotgun you can find?
2. What is the least expensive used semi-automatic centerfire rifle?
I bought a CBC FIE single shot .410 made in Brazil for $100. Cheapest gun I've ever bought and it's fun as hell.
>>28033945
i saw an ancient german .22 short revolver at my lgs for 90$
>>28033945
You should be able to find an older single shot break action 12ga for under $100. I see those at flea markets.
Cheapest semiautomatic center fire rifle? Maybe an SKS for around $350-$400. I can't think of anything less than that unless it is a 22lr

Aw fuck me. Why isn't the image straight? Let me fix that in a sec
While I wait 2 minutes to be allowed to repost the same pic, let me state the propose of the thread is to examine the quality of the seized weapons. Apologies if the pic is small.
Moreover, let me understand what's so scary about the "sawed off rifle".

Norinco SKS. 75% condition. Bayonet and sling. Small scope mounted on it. $400 at lgs. Go for it?
>>28033739
lol no
>>28033739
U would, wood looks good.
What kind of scope?
does the scope have an aftermarket mount?
$350 without scope is a fair price. They're not getting any cheaper in the future.
It's been awhile since the last thread so let's take a look at what patches came out on top.
I've made a list of the top 5 patches from last thread's vote and included a few more. Time to vote again to decide which ones will be mad einto patches.

Just got the SCAR MK16 and put a nice red dot, magpul AFG, and a suppressor on it. But I decided I need an AK as well. My guns tore has these options:
Century arms C39
Bulgarian import USSR built AKM (the price though...)
Or a Chinese type 56.
Someone help me (I already know that the type 56 should be crossed off)
Century is shit. If you can afford all of that nice stuff for your scar then you can afford the Russian Ak.

Buy a SLR-107 or 104
Nice airshit.
I was just gifted a Glock 42 and the slide lock is almost impossibly difficult to release.
I can barely get it to release with both thumbs and it's nearly impossible to sling shot.
Some forums say it can be due to not having a cartridge in the magazine, but I can't test this because I haven't purchased any 380 ammo yet, and didn't feel like making a special trip.
I've never had this problem with any of my other Glocks or handguns.
Do these guns just have a rough break in period or do I need to purchase an after market slide...

Glock Armorer here. Sounds like someone put it back together wrong. Find a Glock certified armorer. It should not be that hard.
>>28033402
>and it's nearly impossible to sling shot.
I don't really understand this point. Like, when the slide is locked back you cannot physically pull the slide back any further to release the slidelock?
>>28033484
I was almost positive someone like you was going to tell me that, but I still needed to hear it I guess.
Thank you

correct
What kind of SKS is this?
Some guy posted it for sale for a friend and doesn't have access to it to take another picture

20 rd box magazine worth it OP
All I got are the basic utility guns... 9mm, 12ga, 5.56. And all black/ plastic. Time for a change up. Pawn shop has some cool cowboy lookin guns I know nothing about, other than they are black powder. I shot a black powder shotgun yearssss ago, and it was a lot of fun. The smell, the smoke, the reloading sequence....
I have the shootin guns for shooting. I think I would enjoy something difference, even if it's a whole lot slower.
1849 Uberti pocket revolver, that's all I got.

did anyone on here buy a complete or parts kit ak from psa?
>>28033193
If I didn't already have a WASR, I would have.
IF they ever drop a 5.45 version, I will get that mufugga.
they seem to have been out of stock forever
>>28033193
>>28033217
They seem to be have been out of stock forever because there most likely stopping production on them, made of cast Korean parts and badly headspaced barrels as well as missing parts in a lot of the kits. Look at the akfiles for more info, the guns are fucked.
