Can anyone tell me what these are? They seem to be some kind of 90* scope, but what do they go on?

definitely not a flashlight
What was the first gun you bought and why did you chose it?
Also advice for me, as I just got my foid and am getting a handgun most likely for Christmas as a result.
ruger 10/22 cause i wanted to get down basic marksmanship.
quckly followed by a mossberg 500 for HD
Walther p22
Got it cause it was like 350 with only about 100 or so rounds through it. Plus it looked nice with the muzzle break it came attatched with.

Got a Beretta 92a1 because I wanted a handgun that was fulllsize, all metal, and a classic unique design
New to CC here. I don't have my permit yet, but I'm ballin on a budget so I'm looking for a decent but affordable IWB holster. Could anyone give me any recommendations? Hybrid? Leather or kydex?
I've found a couple that might not be awful. What do you guys think?

Aliengear is fine. Though for $80 you can get a crossbreed which is a better.
>>28036843
I have the exact same as the first one, except in black and made by a company called Tagua.
I have the Glock 19 holster and carry a Glock 26, because the Glock 26 holster is just too short, it makes pulling my wallet out too hard.
Honestly thinking about upgrading to an Aliengear soon, MIGHT get the HSP Incog so I can actually have swag for once.
I have an Aliengear cloaktuck 3.0 and it's great. They sent me the wrong shell for my gun at first, but I contacted them and they had the correct shell postmarked to me in less than a week. It's super comfortable, though it tends to shift around and then only a trip to the bathroom will set it back in place. It also does a decent job of concealing my big-ass gun, but then, it's my only holster so I can't really compare it to others. All in all, I like it, and I especially like AG's customer service. I get the feeling that their QC dept consists of retards and potheads because apparently the issue I had is pretty common according to Google.

I recently got a Sig 556 in a trade at a gunshow, Exeter built but Swiss internals. Shot a few mags through it without so much as a hiccup, very light recoil. JS marked and in the low 3000's, made in 1997. How'd I do? Considering I traded it for a beat up WASR-10
Pic related, probably going to leave the colors alone, sets itself aside from all my other scurry black salt rifles
>>28036749
>SIG 556
>1997
They made them back then?
also since you traded for a shitty WASR you did pretty good I guess. You get the EoTech with it too?
>>28036791
I went full retard I meant 2007, atleast that's what the dude at the gunshow said, also already had the Eotech, gonna buy some buis for it
>>28036825
Nice, the 556 seems like a nice gun, put an Acog on it and plant the bomb at B XDDDDDD

Hey guys. So I'm looking to get a real first rifle.
Now I say real because I already own a .22
I was thinking of getting a .45-70 lever action. I'll be honest it looks fun as fuck and its a cowboy gun.
Thoughts? Good/Bad idea? Where can I find a nicer one?
>>28036490
The good
>Caliber capable of stopping pretty much anything in North America
Bad:
Caliber is expensive as fuck, have fun reloading.
Not much aftermarket support
Recoils like a bitch.
For your first "real" rifle, honestly I'd recommend an AR. You can build one for dirt cheap, it has recoil and sounds like a "real" gun, and you can spend weeks modifying it exactly to your pleasure.
>>28036490
Go for it OP but inspect before you buy. Idk what marlin's quality is like these days but at one point they had gotten shitty.
From what I've heard it's better now.
Then the other immediate option that comes to mind is Henry. Henry has good quality but some people don't like the method of reloading the rifle.
I've seen guys experienced with both take pretty much equal amounts of time reloading using both marlins and henrys.
AND if you do choose to use it to hunt a dangerous...

.45-70 is a fine rifle, but a nicer one will probably cost you, and ammo isn't the easiest to find or the cheapest. But it's a fine rifle and if that's what you want, you'll enjoy it. If you want a fun cowboy gun though, why not look at a .357, you can get plenty of .357 levers of the same style and it's not so costly to shoot it
Read it and weep, boys. Picked this baby up today. 12 round clip since my state won't allow larger.

I'm looking to buy a top notch gun safe for a decent price. Does anyone know where to look where I won't hurt my bank account. It doesn't have to be pic related but I want decent space in it
There were many for sale on Black Friday
There is not Mach difference between all of them.
It only depends on 3 factors.
How much is your gun collection worth?
How many home burglaries happen in your neighborhood?
What is the maximum weight you can have in your house or apartment?
Ft. Knox custom safe is top of the line but only for $10k+ of guns and on a concrete slab you can bolt it on.
For apartments you can't put bolt holes into buy cheap shit and pray.
>>28036488
What about size and price? Why is there so much difference in brands
>>28036576
I plan to own a major gun collection and this is less for protecting my guns rather more protecting my nieces and nephews from my guns

Ok guys
Its 1am, you get up to take a piss/shit. Your eyes are still blurry from waking mid sleep and walking past the stairs you see pic related
You hear others downstairs to as your senses quickly sharpen
What do you do?
What do you use to defend yourself?
How fucked are you?

I'd wonder why I'm in the hallway since I have a bathroom attached to my bedroom.

>>28036116
My bathroom is in my bedroom... I'm a full grown man in a house that I own.
My staircase creeks noticeably, so if notice. My wife and I would be armed and ready by the time implied asshole made his way upstairs.
Long story short, that motherfucker would have 18 new black talon implants.
Anyone got one of these? What are your thoughts
>>28036020
good. buy one.
Fun gun. The recoil isn't even close to as bad as people will tell you it is. Let it jump and twist all it wants to- it won't hurt you. While the muzzle is pointed up, hook your thumb over the hammer spur and gravity will do all the work for you.
You can load up .44 mag to the point where it can throw a 325 grain bullet around 1400 fps. It'll shoot through a 300 lb pig from any angle too.
>>28036020
I don't have a Super. I do have a couple of standard Blackhawks, one in .357 Magnum and one in .45 Colt. Aside from the slightly different grip frame, they're the same. Rugged and reliable and pretty, too. The Super Blackhawk is one of a few designs that will take .44 Magnum +P+ without a problem.
My WWII folder is gone.

Are 8 gauge or 10 gauge shotguns worth getting, is it fine to just stick with 12. I guess in a tactical setting would there be any difference. Also, if there is any reason for these, where does one find an 8 gauge gun to buy?
Bumperino
>>28035938
I second this question
>>28035938
Just stick with the 12ga since on the basis that it's the most prolific
Stop what you're doing right now-
Why don't you own a Sig P232?
Cause I have a bunch of other stuff.
