Are you fucking serious?
Was thinking about getting a revolver, what does /k/ think about the semi/revolver debate
>>28042355
It's not a debate. Semis are more practical.
>>28042355
My friend brought up a good point. If it doesn't shoot you simply pull the trigger again instead of having to clear a malfunction. Also a bit lighter.
That being said, I would still take a semi-auto for a ccw any day.
Revolvers are superior unless you need to fire more than six shots in rapid succession. Most importantly they just werk.
Hey /k/ just ordered my first HK soo the second thing after ordering the gun, please suggest a thigh holster for it !
TiA !
>>28042320
mags prices are crazy. need to get a rail adapter if you want a light i believe too.
>>28042399
I'm in europe so USP mags are like surplus spec-ops gear, 12€ a piece if you know where to look... But holsters and rigs will have to be bough in the US... So gimme your ideas !
Yup a rail adapter is needed but for that I have my G19
>>28042320 Alian gear holster, mine was 30 something bucks, including shipping, super comfy, and really durable
Dirty Harry seems to think so.
>>28042211
I suppose it was back then, but not anymore.
>>28042211
At the time of the movie the .44 Magnum was the most powerful, commercially available handgun round. Handloaders had been experimenting and had created more powerful and wildcats but they weren't commercially available. Now those some of those handloads and wildcats are commercially available.
>>28042211
isn't it "canon" he shot 44 specials out of them for uncontrollably or was it SPECIAL as in his own special magnum rounds that killed 70s fools?
Newfag, here,
I want to buy a bow as a gift for a buddy of mine and I need some advice.
I'd like it to be a 100lb bow, I know, I know, that's fucked up, thanks for your concern, but I am dead determined to be a 100lb bow, since I'd like it to be a surprise and neither me nor him understand too much about bows and their important properties, I thought I could ask you guys (inb4 buying that not being a good idea - I know, yet I am going to do it, anyway).
I want it to be an old-fashioned, preferably recursive, bow, so no pulleys, no recoil compensators...

Dude nobody needs a 100lb bow to start off with. 50lb at the most. Get him a nice longbow or maybe a recurve horsebow. Youtube is your friend.
>>28042208
Thank you for the input, but like I said - I am dead centered on a 100lb, despite it not being practical or whatever - my funeral.
I'd like to see if I can get experience advice from people, who understand the practice of shoting with a bow, so I can choose the most suitable one, as I've heard a person should choose a bow that is comfortable to him, by watching for certain aspects.
>>28042181
>despite it not being practical or whatever - my funeral.
>100 lbs bow
so you WANT to hurt yourselves and fuck up your shoulders and back? This isn't a probable, this is a guarantee.
And not only will you guys laugh about it
>looool, wow man, this bow is tough, can't even pull it, LOL, you absolute madman!
But you either:
-hurt yourselves trying to pull that thing because unless the two of you guys...

/k/omrades, I have a chance to be an officer in the Marines
>have 2 years of Community College
>scored a 96 on P-ASVAB
>Recruiter says I should go in as an enlisted reserve and move into OCS
Is this a good idea? I wanted to get more opinons, I've done a lot of research but I wanted the opinions of some others
Go straight to OCS. There's no reason for you to enlist.
>>28042161
Were you talking to an enlisted recruiting officer or an OSO (officer selection officer)? I'm currently looking at the PLC program which is OCS broken into 2 sessions over the summers between college. In my opinion I think the PLC program is better as you could possibly get screwed over with enlisted reserve and contracts.
>>28042161
DO NOT GO ENLISTED. They have a delayed entry program you can do. They pay for your college and you sign a contract that as soon as you finish you go into ocs (officer candidate school)

So now Ruskies own complete Syrian airspace? How good is SU-34 compared to F-16?

Good news.
Even obama, a traitor and a moderate terrorists supporter, it's fucking tired of turkey pro-isis bullshit now

>>28041717
Depends on the f16 model. Turks have old and new ones. Overall i think they are evenly matched, due to the su34 being specifically designed to be able to defend itself against same and older Generation aircraft. I am however curious on why they carry r27s instead of r77s

Someone better tell that to everyone else that's been flying missions in Syria.

What's your favorite MRE or fighting/survival food /k/ommandos?
Just ordered pic related, in beef taco, and meatballs and marinara sauce, to try them out.
have a good time shitting bricks Op
>>28041609
I guess if you're willing to pay $14 for a meal that won't even fill you up just so you can play army then it's worth it, but just go order some freeze-dried stuff instead. MREs just aren't worth it unless you can score a case for $40 from a small surplus store (which I have), and even then thy won't store very long compared to freeze-dried food.
I mean they're good since you can just eat them and go, but the same can be said of much more affordable options like beef jerky, peanut...
