What is /k/'s opinion on the Mossberg 500? In terms of recreation/home defense.
Is good

I've had mine for 5 years.
Best gun I have, and god I love it to death.
>>28079550
It's a shotgun
If you had little bitch hands and wanted to buy a 9mm CZ-75, which variant would you get?
Also would you just buy a Glock 19 instead?
Discuss.

p06.

no.

Anon, if you're asking what gun to buy, just come out with it.

New to competitive pistol shooting here and was looking for some advice on keeping both eyes open while firing?
My problem is that if I focus on the front sight my target doubles and if I focus on my target my sights double. I know I'm supposed to focus on the front sight but I can only get the target to not double if I squint or close my left eye.
>>28079402
I trained a bit for this and then went back to one eyed. Basically, start one eyed and get focus on your front sight. Then crack the other eye open keeping focus. Dry fire and do your procedure. Then do it again. It may take a few days of practice but you will get used to it and start being able to spot your front sight on the way up with both eyes.
I switched back because I find myself more focused with one eye but that's just what works best for me.
>>28079402
>I know I'm supposed to focus on the front sight but I can only get the target to not double if I squint or close my left eye.
If you're constantly trying to see your target and your front sight post you'll get vertical stringing. Put your sights on the target then focus on the front sight, trust that even though the target's just a fuzzy blob it's still there.
Try squinting until you get the hang of it.

Anyone have experience with either rifles? I've heard positives and negatives about both.
Apparently the M74 does not have a chrome lined barrel, and the TGI does. They're both bulgi parts kits, but I just can't find as much information about the TGI's as I can about the M74s.
>>28079256
Can't say about the tgi, but the m74 is an OK rifle. Green mountain barrel with bulgy parts and iirc the receiver is a nodak spud just like the gp75's. But then they are built by century so inspect before buying
Also, it might be worth adding:
The M74 comes with 2 bulgi mags, sling, oiler, and I believe a mag pouch.
The TGI comes with two crapco mags, and it may or may not have the cleaning rod.
>>28079631
Green mountain barrels are supposed to last quite some time, correct?
>>28079665
GM barrels are decent, but not nearly as good as a cold hammer forged barrel. Just don't bumpfire
Do you think Spetznatz is overrated?
>>28079099
They're ruthless, which makes them good enough for what they're expected to do
>>28079099
Possibly. They tend to be some pretty scary dudes in real life.
>>28079099
That's a big rifle
hey /k/, what's the best missile ever built and why is it the AIM-9 sidewinder?
Air to air missile thread?
First off, this is not about banning guns. I like guns, I think they're cool and useful, I don't want them banned. I'm aware that my question would still apply in a world without guns.
Consider the following situation:
1. I killed someone. It's known that I killed someone, and not up for debate.
2. That person died facing me, holding a gun that never fired.
3. The killing occurred in a fraction of a second.
4. None of the witnesses happened to be looking directly at me during that precise fraction of a second, so they give conflicting testimony.
5....

Innocent until proven guilty, the prosecutor has to prove you committed any crime you are an trial for.
One helmet had the best price/weight - effectiveness ratio of WWI.
One helmet offered best protection while still being feasible to equip your army with.
One helmet was shit, and useful for little more than serving as a potty.

You can't mount a stirnpanzer to all the otherones
And considering how you'll be sitting in a trench all day, with only your head exposed maybe, kinda makes sense to have the option.

Yeah maybe when blasters or phasers are invented. We are going to be humping that god damn gun into space

>The UK couldn't singlehandedly-destroy Russia in a week
TOP KEK SLAVSHIT!!!
Oh believe you me, us British are ITCHING for a war with Russia. We will fucking ANNIHILATE your dirty country. There wouldn't be a square meter of Russian soil that has running water, electricity, or petrol that isn't on fire, once our airforce and navy is done bombarding your defenseless country. Then, our army boys (we'd send the muslims and other mongrel races first) would swoop in, raping your women, and killing EVERY slavshit shit they see....

Last pack of royal commandos I spoke with told me your nation was cutting back its ground forces numbers to "home soil defense only" levels and is planned to augment its capabilities by relying more heavily on NATO, UN, and US relations.

Would it be illegal to create a device that fits into an AR 15's trigger guard designed to push the trigger with a solenoid. If I created this with a NO (normally open) push button switch and set it to push the trigger in time with the cycling would I be legal?
TL, DR is it "legal" to rig up electronics to rapidly pull the trigger for me?
>>28078512
Just like open bolt semi-autos are no longer kosher due to the ease they can be converted to full-auto, ATF tech branch has said the same about electronic trigger systems.
>>28078512
obviously not
>>28078512
add a double trigger and fan the trigger like a paintball gun
San Bernardino shooting pushed me over the edge. I live nearby and want to buy a .357 revolver for concealed carry. What are some good/not fugly ones I can expect to find around for a reasonable price? I like good value, but I'm also willing to spend a pretty good amount for my own safety and enjoyment.
Is there any real reason I should consider a different caliber/semi-auto? Because I'd rather not. I like the idea of having .357 and 38 special at my disposal.
Also how is it carrying around a small/medium sized revolver? I don't really want to get a snub.
>>28078465
Go to a shop, fire a few, pick one you like. Avoid Taurus.
>>28078465
