Anyone else /lansky/ here? How does /k/ sharpen their knives?
I straighten my pocket knives on a hone for a couple passes once a week and that keeps them sharp enough for me. If I used one pretty heavily or dented the edge on something hard I hit it with a finish file, then hone it quite a bit longer because I'm too lazy to get out the wet stone. I do my chisels on a wet stone, hone, then strop them. Axes and everything else just get filed.
>>28279875
I've used one before.
It's nice for pretty much everything, and it's idiot proof.
I like it, and I would buy one if I needed to sharpen knives often.
I use a cheap stone from the hardware store
So, we see the new blaster the First Order troops were issued, which is a direct evolution of the E-11. But you can still see the folding stock on the barrel shroud there, as well as a rifle butt.
So what the hell is the folding stock there for?
The new helmet looks so...minimalist, but I kind of like it
Chest rig is cool too.
>>28279863
They also changed the mag/battery pack thing to the right side. I'm guessing the prop guys had no clue what an underfolding stock was.
>>28279885
Yeah, I'm liking it. The way they used small-unit tactics and were actually fucking competent in the movie was great, too.

Would it be better to buy a lower parts kit and assembly it myself and buy a complete upper?
I've actually been looking for a good 80% lower receiver. Any suggestions?
Build or youre a huge faggot.
You can build a decent AR for $600.
Or you can spend $800 on a S&W MP and have a shit AR that has no individuality to it at all.
If you don't have the ability to mill, just go to your LGS and see if they have any 100% lowers. Or look online, aero precision and PSA have some decent ones.
As far as uppers, you wont save too much money building the entire upper yourself, so just buy a complete upper or one without the BCG and charging handle, and then buy those separately.

Who gives a fuck about form, it's about function. Is this what special snowflakes actually believe?
Do any of you know of any good instructors that teach self defense for people in wheelchairs? I recently started dating a paraplegic woman and want to teach her self defense but I have no practical knowledge around wheelchairs so I will refrain from teaching her anything beyond standard safe handling procedures for firearms.
I'm also hoping to learn with her so I can learn to work with someone in a wheelchair in a oh fuck situation.
Thanks in advance /k/
You could conceal all kinds of shit in a wheelchair. Personally, I'd go for a pistol grip shotgun, an SBS, or a full sized handgun. Rolling those wheels builds strong hands and wrists. She could handle the recoil.
>>28279486
all she wants to do is suck your dick.
>>28279598
Plus, a larger gun with more recoil doubles as an escape mechanism. Even if you don't put your attacker down on the first shot, the recoil will send the chair zooming backwards like some sort of horrible, horrible escape pod.

do you ever feel the massive urge to line your barrel and make it a .308 so you no longer have to buy .577/450 for $20 per unprimed brass/dick with 24ga brass?
>>28279428
No. The beauty of the MH is throwing a 480grn projectile propelled with black powder. Using anything else just makes you a wannabe faggot. Not to mention reloading for it is easily the most fun of all of my guns.
What is this guy's appeal?
>>28279336
He says money in a weird way. It makes me kek
he shoots guns and talks about guns on youtube
what more do you want?
He's a gun guy, Veteran and down to earth.
Everything doesn't have to be expensive for him to do a video on it.
If using a 12 gauge with 3 inch Turkey shot, is steel or lead better?
>>28279242
Do you want to eat it? If yes steel.
>>28279242
Steel bounces around. I wouldnt use it inside. I used some super x steel for clays yeaterday and it was fantastic for that though

Military already talking about 6th generation according to Wikipedia.
MFW.

>Hey Bob. We got this gen of fighters done. Wanna work on future generations?
>"Nah, fuck it. Let's go home and have a beer. Nobody's gonna bother making next-gen fighters for at least sixty years!"

>>28279231
We can't even get consensus on whether the F-35 is worth it.
>>28279272
It is.
You're never going to get "consensus" about anything, now stop being a fucking faggot, analyze the available evidence, and form an opinion.
If you can't do that, shut the fuck up.
Consensus. Fucking people these days.
How would /k/ make a vibration-based weapon?

Three scenarios. When do you use deadly force /k/?
1. Someone breaks into your house at night, you can't hear if they are armed buthe you know they broke in the door and are storming in. Do you shoot or?
2. Your out and about and someone threatens you and tries to rob you, they don't pull a weapon but are large and forcefull, do you shoot or?
3. Someone approaches you and threatens you after shouting at you, says they are going to beat the shit out of you, do you draw your weapon and shoot or?
The main thing I want to know is what would...

1. Shoot
2. Shoot
3. Shoot if they try to physically hurt me. But, warn them before doing so.
>>28278876
1 is shoot without hesitation. Castle Doctrine specifically applies to, at least in my state, preventing the commission of a felony. B&E is a felony.
2 is threaten with retaliation, and possibly draw, but don't shoot unless they advance on you.
3 is try to talk it down, and prepare draw. Draw and prepare to shoot if they make good on their threats.
I would not shoot in any of those situations on just that information alone.

thank you so much, I seriously thought no one gave a fuck.
I'd look to adapt a derringer style "handgun" to fire it, although probably at least a double barrel.
it'd be like a pocket shotgun.
