So /k/ what is your profession?
I am an electrician in an underground gold mine.
Income allows for many funs.
A few weeks ago I got a m1 grand and I haven't taken it out to shoot and I planned to do that today. The local range i plan on going to doesn't allow rifles that shoot bullets larger than .300 winchester. Is a 30 - 06 larger than a .300?
.300 Win Mag and .30-06. The Magnum is on the left. You'll be fine.
I am designing a dust cover for my AR, what should I put on it? I was thinking something like Cheeki Breeki or something. Plz halp
semi-tangential thread here
I am designing a roleplaying game and I am curious what kind of autofire system would make the most sense.
It doesn't have to be (and obviously won't be) perfectly realistic, but I am just looking for it to make some kind of sense.
My options are: something like GURPS, where you get a bonus to hit when shooting automatic. The higher the ROF, the more the bonus to hit. Also, the better your hit, the more bullets hit.
This bugs me because I felt like the use of autofire (if used at all) was against targets in the...

How much ammo is enough?
Just started stocking up and so far I have roughly
1800 rounds of 7.62x39mm FMJ and hollow point
1000 rounds of 7.62x54mmR FMJ and a couple of game rounds
Couple hundred of 20 gauge, 30-30, .22 LR and .380.
When should I stop? 5000 for each? Or never?
Pic related but not mine
Enough to sustain yourself for a year without restocking. If you shoot 100 rounds a week, then 5,200 rounds. That would give you enough to ride out any panic buying without it affecting your shooting habits. More is always better but that's a good starting point
Why should women be allowed in the military when all they do is fuck things up?
Let them in if they're competent. Otherwise fuck off back to administration with you.
Making the same thread over and over is a sign of a lack of creativity.
Autists function on a mental loop. Repeating the same actions over and over in a simplistic manner.
A non-autist is able to pursue different subjects and interests from day to day, making the non-autist superior.
/k/ barely had anything covering Kalashnikov's death, absolutely fucking disgraceful.
Anyway, time for a heroes of history thread, men who acted honourably and stood by their ideals.
In regards to the killings of civilians and surrendering soldiers:
>This is murder! The Wehrmacht is waging this war against Bolshevism, not against the united Russian people
I got this gasmask. i think israeli or german 1966
So how do i test it to see if it still works?
btw: im not retarded, so im not freshening the scent with ammonia and bleach.
I'm in the market for a bolt action for general use and I'm torn between .308 and 30-06. Each of them costs the same price in my area so I just would like to know what the better round would be in a bolt action.
Which one is better for these 3 categories
>accuracy (target shooting)
>Beast Stopper (Hunting)
Also what is the largest and smallest animal you could practically hunt with each cartridge?
Ballistically speaking, they're nearly identical for the 3 terms you have listed.
If you're looking for help on which cartridge to decide on, get the 308win simply because it's the more modern cartridge and i seem to see more rifle chambered for it, and it's more widely available in common places like walmart.
One advantage to 308 is its shorter meaning smaller magazines, shorter action, and if I'm not mistaken some rifle can shoot the NATO equivalent of 7.62
I mean look at it. It's the most perfect jet trainer to ever be built. Not only that, it's a wonderful platform for a cheap, light attack aircraft.
Not only that, it's probably the most kawaii jet trainer to ever be built.
Czech land really hit a home run with it. Why doesn't the US buy a bunch for COIN? They work exceptionally well for other countries.
Hi /k/ so I love antique engraved guns.
Specifically silverplated my favorite precious metal.
Would anybody be able to give me links for old engraveed silvplated guns of all kinds.
Pistols, Rifles, Blunderbuss, etc.
Thanks for your time.
meaning for sale, from sellers online.
Any recommended sites, thanks.
hi its me again
>muh stopping power don't real
I just…I don't even…
.45 is a bigger slug. Like, it's a heftier round; it's going to hit harder and kill a person sooner.
How is this even an argument?
Because force is a function of mass and velocity, and .45 is loaded to be slow as fuck, comparatively. However, the same kind of bullet at high velocities wrecks shit, as with magnum revolvers and .45-70. Now fuck off.
What sights should I get for my shitty AR? I'm thinking these diamond head one's, any suggestions?
Also really like RRA's sights, but theyre expensive as fuck
why is that almost every battle on the eastern front resulted in more russian casualties than kraut?
how did the entire command structure not get purged all over again with this bullshit happening all the time?
1) Germany had a well trained and well equipped standing military, at least for the first 4 years of WW2
2) The USSR had poorly equipped, poorly trained, too old and too young conscripts.
3) The USSRs military philosophy was give every man five bullets and every other man a gun, and when someone with a gun dies one of the others picks it up and keeps shooting.
4) A combination of 1 and 2, coupled with crippling purges of the high USSR military (trading competence for loyalty) led to a complete...
