I had that optic on my ak5c. I expended 3 rifles but only one optic.
Its bulky, ugly and the dot is 4 MOA's but its reliable as fuck and holds a zero.
10/10, would operate with.
Let's see some (ammo) cans ;)

So my uncle passed away (killed himself) and left behind a bunch of shit. Among the shit was some handguns. Split between my brothers and myself, one for each of us. I got a sig p229, it's fucking nice and the handgun that my uncle kept by his side at all times. The more I think about it, i want to sell it though. Something about keeping a handgun that belonged to a family member that i loved (that killed themselves) just doesn't seem right. I'd rather sell it and use the money to buy a handgun that i can learn and use myself. Better memory that way. So, here's...

What did your brothers get?
Fuck what your uncle did, it's yours now and you are the sole person responsible for what sort of symbol it turns into.
Don't sell it.
>>28347905
Ask your brothers if they want it. Maybe they aren't big floppy pussies.
I wanna get a makarov pmm, tell me if there are better options or if the gun is shit and everyone just hypes it up. Also, what should I look for to make sure its not gonam need a bunch of replacement shit/gunsmithing right after I buy it? And finally, good price?
Picture unrelated.
>>28347750
You're not going to find a PMM, the PM however can be gotten for around 200-300 dollars, the highest i've seen was 550.. The best ones around are the East German ones but there really isn't a bad makarov so to speak. There is no external safety, it only holds 8+1 of the somewhat underpowered 9x18 round, and they actually aren't that bad for cc. There is also the P-64, a polish pistol that is vary similar, fires the same cartridge, and has an external safety however it holds 2 less bullets. Also...

Whats the most effective SHTF firearm someone in Northern NJ in the mountains can own? Basically the only requirements are 15 rounds, fixed stock, and no flash hider or silencer.
.308 or 5.56? 16, 18, or 20 inch barrel? Any accessories besides an optic? What optic and what magnification? Are 2 stage flip up magnification optics preferred?

In the market for my first rifle. Looking at the Sig MCX. I'm waiting for the price to drop to about $1500
Is there anything inherently wrong with this gun that I should consider? Reviews for it seem generally positive
everyones starter rifle should be a bolt action and if you have the money the type 99 arisaka is good if you can find 7.7 jap for it
>>28347542
Just get a cheap starter AR-15 / AK variant and just build it up from there. My best gun is probably my first because I got some cheap $499 AR-15 and just started upgrading parts I felt need to be upgraded from triggers to barrels.
>>28347581
>the type 99 arisaka is good if you can find 7.7 jap for it
I'm sure it is, but that's not even remotely the kind of gun I'm looking for.
I've shot bolt action before. Was on a varsity 22lr team in high school. Grew up in AK and hunted for moose with a .308. I'm comfortable with an AR15 / AK platform

I'm embarrassed for you.
>>28347501
It is.
Not trying to shit post but honestly I can't think of a more modern, flash in the pan, obsolete pistol
15 rounds when the standard in full size is 17
trigger guard mag release is a liability and MAC proved it
Ergonomics aren't anything that the M&P and PPQ can't do. And are superior pistols.
It's a poor man's P30

We all know VP9 is a shit.
I still giggle at the cocking wings. The Ruger P-Series did that(the safety/decocker doubled as cocking wings) back in the mid eighties, and H&K tries to claim it as an 'innovation'.
ABRAMS FAGS BTFO
Fielding estimates, ie, you can get this many for the price of this one are really irrelevant, because britbongs don't have anywhere near the logistical infrastructure that the US does.
The filter does not need to be cleaned every two hours, don't know where this "fact" came from
You would never point an M2 machine gun at a fucking ditch, it has a M240B up top for that purpose, the M2 per the geneva convention is only for engaging armored targets
Battlesight accuracy isn't even comparable, the M1 has a cutting edge thermal sight...

I just moved to the north and don't have any cold weather clothes I was interested in buying some milsurp stuff like boots, coats, uniforms is there any items you would recommend and where you can buy them.
>>28347208
ex Soviet Milsurp. Ivan lives in some cold ass environments.
For stores it is a hit and miss.
>>28347208
I'd suggest you not buy any of that stuff and go with civilian gear instead.
Wear multiple layers instead of one or two thick ones. If you're a bit chilly when standing still, your clothing is optimal for movement.
If you want a milsurp jacket then the best place to look is a military surplus (army navy store). And don't get surplus military boots, take it from someone who's worn them, they hurt your knees and legs.
Do you answer your door with a gun? I don't even live in a bad neighbourhood or anything, but I always make sure I have my pistol in my hand when I answer the door just in case.
Is this wrong or justified? I have a fence around my yard and I assume anyone that wants to enter it (beyond my no trespassing signs, dog signs, and the fence itself) could potentially do me harm.

Why not get a katana?
I've always wanted a black powder revolver, and just learned I can get a cartridge converter for it and shipped to my house in L.A! Anyone have experience with it? Pic is what I'm going to buy for the sweet price of $300, with cartridge converter $200.
>>28347089
if you want a blackpowder keep it as bp
conversion kits are amazingly annoying
your paying 200 bucks to only shoot only cowboy loads and still be a pain in the ass to reload compared any other revolver
if you arent a a felon you could buy a good revolver with 500
if you are a felon why the hell is your dumbass spending 500 on a 6shot singleaction revolver that cant be reloaded in a timely manner when you could build an ar off an 80% with 500 bucks or just buy something illegaly
