So I'm considering trading my 1958 Romanian SKS, nonmatching numbers, along with my Gen 2.5 Glock 27 (3 mags) for this AR-15.
Tell me whether or not it's a stupid idea or if I'd get fucked on the deal, I'm super inexperienced with this shit.

What questions should I be asking here?
I don't know too much about ars but game makes airrifles. I'm almost positive the scope would get wrecked on a real gun.
Folding stocks on an HD shotgun. Useful feature or retarded and impractical?
AR style collapsible would be better. Collapsible and folding is best.

Lets you store it in small nooks and better manuevar in tight places. No real downside.
>28431833
theres plenty of downsides like having uncomfortable as shit cheekwield, wobble and no rubber buttpad
the only good thing is being able to make it more compact for storage/transportation
it doesnt help make the gun smaller cause your pump shotguns still going to be 27 inches long
which is smaller than a yard but still big
What's the next big advancement in small arms?
phased plasma rifles
caseless ammo
We're pretty much at a platau with kinetic weapons, really.

Coilguns are on the way once better batteries are invented

Only if people promise to stop posting these autistically shit anthropomorphised tank captions
there's like maybe 4 that are tolerable.

I got a papercut stacking reports in Bagram one time.
I want to buy a 10mm pistol. But I'm worried that in 20 years the ammo may not exist anymore.
Could this happen?
I don't mind the cost of the ammo, I just like the power. And I would get a .357 revolver, but revolver capacities suck.

>But I'm worried that in 20 years the ammo may not exist anymore.

What a surprise from someone who is unironically considering on 10millimemer
>>28431384
Meme? My neighbor is a cop and drinks beer all day long talking about 10mm. So now I want to pick one up, but I'm not looking for a museum exhibit peice if the rounds go extinct like what's happening now to mosin ammo.
>>28431453
>if the rounds go extinct
>10mm
retard, you don't even know what you're getting into. You just want a 10mm because your cop buddy said something nice about it
I'm moving to Norcross Georgia soon for a contract job. I'll be there for about 6-7 months. I'm coming from New Jersey.
How can I fully exercise muh freedums that I currently don't have up here? I have a compact 9mm that I would like to carry concealed. What do I need to do?

Get a GA drivers license as fast as you can
>>28431398
Then use that GA ccw to apply for a PA non-resident. That is good for 5 years. Then get AZ and UT
>>28431421
Then move to Oregon.
Then get a WA permit from FL.
Then do all the shooting you want in neighboring ID.
Anyone know of good sites/videos/youtubers/blogs/etc for facts and historic bits of arms/armor/uniforms/battles of the 17th century? American history's all well and good, but I'd like a lot of the European stuff too; even Asian. Any country.

I too am interested. It's the transitional period between late medieval style, pike and shot, and early napoleonic warfare in both terms of technology and tactics, and ways of raising an army from levy to mercenary to state-funded.
Think of being an arbesquier while gendarmes are flying around like tanks on the battlefield. Fuck. That.
What are the most interesting jobs the Navy has to offer? Things that aren't quite known, like billet-specific interesting.

Would you like the CZ 75 more if it had normal slide rails?
>>28429992
No.
>that finish
No that would be defeat the purpose of having a low bore axis.
That's its point, it handles the way it does because of the slide/frame design. However it's also one of its flaws as racking under stress may become an issue.
Pick your poison, its certainly not uncockable like some would exaggerate. But maybe if you have Paul Bunyan hands you'll want a sig with 4 stories worth of slide real estate.
Best metal gun?
I'm wanting a metal frame handgun as a "legacy" weapon for my family and have managed to cross off the more popular ones based on reading the following:
browning hi-power
>crap trigger, mag safety, hammer bite
CZ
>Just don't want a Czech gun as an heirloom piece, please forgive.
1911
>By all rights should be a single stack .45, don't want a .45 because expensive to shoot and lower capacity.

Fair enough just had to fuck with you a little bit for that /k/omrade.
Is the Beretta 92 Compact a good buy for my first conceal carry gun?
>>28429692
its not even a good buy for your tenth
>>28429692
I did. It's a great pistol, but you won't be wearing any tight-fitting shirts with it.
>>28429692
The thing is, it's not even "compact."
Might as well go fullsize 92 with a shoulder holster if you want to CC a beretta
Would you please offer your thoughts /k/?
I am looking to load my new weapon for away from home self defense. Given the list of requirements below what type of round would /k/ suggest? pic related
>9mm.
I am not looking for a discussion on which is best caliber for self defense. The weapon is what it is.
>reliable
no off brand maybe could have a dud in the box bs
>round stops on what it hits

Winchester PDX1 or Ranger series.

Federal HSTs, 124 or 147 (my preference) standard pressure.
Check out all the gel tests on youtube, HSTs are ridiculously reliable in terms of expansion and penetration, probably the most reliable right now. Speer Gold Dots are a close second.
