Can any of you lads help me out here?
I'm looking to buy a sword to use for decoration. Specifically, this one: http://www.amazon.com/Dream2reality-Cosplay-Shirayuki-Tempered-Handmade/dp/B00C7A9LLA
My issue is, I don't know anything about swords, and there are multiple options that have things to do with terminology that I don't understand which affect the price. Any advice?
>>28433607
If it's just for decoration then get the cheapest one.
>>28433762
Okay, but do you think it will look the part? While it won't be used for any kind of sparring or anything, I don't want it to be anything too poor looking.
>>28433837
the money you save on sword can be spent on new fedora
How effective would a napalm shell be for tanks, compared to an HE shell? Would it be effective against tanks?
No.
>>28433537
No. Never effective against anything. You wouldn't be able to ever get enough napalm in it to do any damage
>>28433537

WP might be a better idea but it's still limited by volume, a larger rocket-propelled canister would work better.
Post guns or other weapons you purchased because "you seen a scary critter"
Pic related : "i saw a bear near my house"
>>28433384
You Stupid FUCK, unless you live near a large population of Grizzly Bears you don't need to shoot bear, ever. You most likely live in the lower United States, which means you probably saw a Black Bear. You realize you can scare away a black bear by yelling at it, or banging pans. At the most, you have to shoot in the air. If it does come down to a bear charging you, even this magnum wont help you.
>>28433496
you probably believe that moose are docile creatures as well and that if they attack you "you're provoking them"
>>28433384
I've never seen a scary critter
I'm getting my first gun tomorrow, but I don't know if I should get one that's .35 ACP or 11.43mm.
What does /k/ suggest?
Pic related.
>>28433378
>What does /k/ suggest?
That you grow up and avoid le epic shitposting in le future.
>>28433378
I'll keep carrying an 11.43mm till they start making an 11.68mm

always wondered how much training TOW operators get
I wonder if it's similar to javelin operators, who fire their weapons once in a tour if at all
/k/omandos, what is your opinion on the Ruger LCP? I've been considering getting one because they are the original subcompact and can equip a laser sight that doesn't effect their dimensions, but they are only chambered in .380 auto. Does this really matter or should I go with, say, Glock, who has their trademarked multi-safety thing going for them so I at least don't shoot myself in the dick when I pocket my gun?
>>28433165
>don't shoot myself in the dick when I pocket my gun?
gee if only something was made to put the gun in that covered the trigger.... i will get right to work on something for you. i already have some names for it in mind. i will either call it a holster or a dick protector 9000
>>28433165
It's not a bad gun, if you shoot it a lot the pins may work out a bit. It's smaller than the G42, with all else being equal. Larger calibers are not generally pocket carriable without wearing farmer jeans or being hickok sized.
>>28433165
>I've been considering getting one because they are the original subcompact
wat
Get an LC9s don't fuck with the DAO guns.
Sigbros, I need your help. Anyone here own one of these? It's fucking $325, I know its probably snake oil but a part of me is curious. I mean I love the P226's trigger, however I've always hated how much it over travels. A part of me just want to get the trigger which eliminate this however I am curious about the total package.
>>28433146
If you buy that you're a dumbass
>>28433146
So you like the trigger but hate the over travel on the reset?
Sig literally makes a kit to remedy the reset for $45. It makes it so when your trigger resets there's absolutely no travel and breaks immediately.
Seriously google "Sig Sauer SRT Kit"
>>28433146
Grab the SRT drop in kit (will void your warranty if you install it) and buy an 18 or 19lb hammer spring.
Bam, you have all the trigger job you need on a P series pistol.
Looking for a fun non shit tier optic for my 10/22 takedown, advice and price? Pic related

it's right there.
>>28433053
My brother put one on his 10/22, it's pretty good. The dot is fine enough for plinking small steel targets at 50+ yards. I'm thinking about getting one for mine.
I have a TRS-25 on my competition 10/22.
I've dropped it a lot, dinged it, and shot nearly 10k rounds in my gun through it and it still manages to hold a zero.
During Christmas I asked every member of my family for a gift card to Bud's Gun Shop, figuring only one of them would get me one. Long story short, I now have a little over $1000 in gift cards to Bud's Fucking Gun Shop.
>hickok's fw
Anyway, what should I buy?
>>28433043
>buds kike shop
Great OP, now you can spend that $1,000 all on an entry level DMPS
>>28433069
naw man, just bid on a gun he once touched
>>28433043
I think they're selling hi-point problem solvers for $800. Buy one of those and a couple mags. The mags are $100 each so you're set.
Has there ever been anything more cringe?
>>28432744
Yes. I've seen a lot worse

There are 2 knife threads up, did this really need to be its own thing? Were you worried you wouldn't get as much karma if you didn't make a thread?

Sup /k/omrades, kiwifag here, looking to get my gun license soon. Wanting a good shtf raifu, something that I could scavenge abundant ammo for, robust, could possibly take multiple calibers, but it's standard calibre is still big enough to drop a deer or pig. Recommendations for a safe wouldn't go amis either.
gun: AR
safe: the ground
>>28432739
I'll need to get my standard license first, I'll get the other classes later on.
308 or 223 savage axis
Talk me out of buying this /k/
Alternatively, tell me about your experiences and enjoyment with it. Here's what I'm thinking:
1. I have the disposable cash (it's just a little over $200)
2. I collect guns
3. I don't have a backup to my primary CC
4. I can carry it in situations where carrying my primary CC would be impractical

Like what tucking it under your nutsack when you're in swimming trunks?
>>28432530
Like into doctor appointments. jogging shorts, and nogun areas.
I own a pug, it's a bitch to shoot accurately, but it's something.
Did other Fighter jets in the past get as much shit as the F35 does?
It's different now in an internet age
Everyone can run their own stupid blog, everyone can read stupid news articles.
And liberals are far more treasonous in their anti-military beliefs.
F16 got tons of shit when it first came out.

like for what?
South Carolina bros. I may be moving there in the next month, specifically the Charleston area, how's the state for fun laws? How's the area for ranges, crime, etc? I have time to turn down the offer but it seems like a fairly based state and a decent costal city.
Lived in chucktown for 3 years, there is a decent public range in the francis? national forest and ATP gun shop has a nice indoor range for pistols and rifles for $5 all day. they just dont allow any ammo that will stick to a magnet (dont get caught) They dont allow open carry if you care about but ALOT of people have their cwp ( I got mine while I was there) but I hated the south and moved back to muh glorious michigan.
>>28432242
Charleston is one of my favorite cities. SC has damn good gun laws too. I'd do it.
>>28432414
Nope don't care about OC, I CC.
Any info on longer rifle ranges?
I'm especially excited to be near oceans again.
