Russia+NK are militarily far more powerful than the USA could ever be, here are some reasons why.
1. Russia+NK have far better infantry than the USA. RPG-29 can penetrate M1A2 Abrams at 875m. The RPK-74 is also much stronger than the M60. Spetsnaz also have RPO and USA has no counter. Metys-M can penetrate M1A2 Abrams from 1575m, Super Dragon might have 1925m but can't penetrate any armor.
2. Russia+NK have far better transports than the USA. BTR-80A, BTR-90, Mi-24D HELLO? Even the Bradley is outmatched by the BMP-3 which can fire its missiles while moving...

>How can USA stand a chance against North Korea when it is outclassed in every category?
>>28648867
Someone will fall for it.
You played wargame a bit too much, didn't you?
Is the SKS needlessly complicated?
>>28648501
>SKS
>Needlessly complicated
Just don't buy a Yugo and we're talking about one of the most straight forward, simple guns you can own.
>need
Git.
>>28648515
I thought a Yugo was the go-to SKS for any prospective raifu buyer on /k/?
Is there any weapon more terrifying that a piece of sharp, pointy steel?

billions of tiny airborne particles that make you bleed on the inside
Not really
The posture and body language that lead up to getting stabbed trigger the most basic "FUCK ITS TRYING TO KILL ME!!" fight or flight reaction. Its the same reaction you have at a predatory animal attacking you
1st time gun buyer.
I have $1000
I will buy a rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun
Give me recommendations
Is that total budget or per firearm?
For $1000?
>rifle
>Hi-Point
>handgun
>Hi-Point
>shotgun
>...does Hi-Point make shotguns?
pick a less expensive hobby
Unless you buy used, you're not getting a rifle pistol and shotgun with that budget. And even then you won't get much. I recommend you save more, so you can get better quality. You get what you pay for in all things, usually.
Tell me /k/, who is the greatest warrior who ever lived? I nominate this smug fucker.
>I must say that during the war I never disobeyed an order, but when General Seidemann ordered Graf and me to fly to the British sector and surrender to avoid the Soviets, with the rest of the wing to surrender to the Soviets, I could not leave my men. That would have been bad leadership.
>>28647534
He also predicted what we all know about the Soviets/Russians
>In his first year of operational service, Hartmann felt a distinct lack of respect towards Soviet pilots. Most Soviet fighters did not even have proper gunsights, their pilots having to draw them on the windscreen by hand. "In the early days, incredible as it may seem, there was no reason for you to feel fear if the Russian fighter was behind you," he later recalled. "With their hand-painted "gunsights"...

My vote would be for Michael Wittmann. As a former tanker in the US Army, he is my idol. When I was a gunner I kept a photo of him in the gunner's station. He started out in a Stug III proving himself as a good tanker, destroyed many tanks, and anti tank guns (anti tank guns are more difficult to survive and destroy as they are hidden), always took the initiative, proved himself as a leader, and was a true National Socialist 'till the end.
Micheal Wittmann was a great warrior, and surely resides in Valhalla.
simo hayha, aka "white death" i've always been fascinated by his ability to conceal himself, with carlos hathcock coming in close second
What are some /k/ approved video games? I love Squad, and are trying to get back into War Game.
Arma 2. A bit old, but still a lot of fun, especially with its modding support
>>28649797
You know Arma 3 is out, right?
>>28649812
Well aware, but to me, Arma 2 just has a certain charm to it that Arma 3 doesn't have
Has boxing ever been worth a damn in an actual combat situation? Most thrown downs in Iraq were grapples (with knives).
I understand it offers some nice fundamentals for an adult male. But you can get those same fundamentals from other fighting disciplines.
If your desire is to kill, a few good punches is all it should take. Boxing teaches you to hit hard. Even Applegate said so.
>>28647019
someone who has never fought
What punches are good for. Striking when you opponent isn't ready. Outside of that
Otherwise go for something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYf1hg_jN-E
Was this guy a spook?
>squadmates that he was weird. "We thought he was a spy or something."
>"wanders" away from a US military base in the middle of Afghanistan--possible exfiltration gone wrong?
>US negotiates for his release for over FIVE years, rather than just letting him die in captivity with no one none the wiser
>US government trades 5 hostages for him
Something ain't right with the official line here bros.
>>28646175
There was a cover up from the beginning about it. Men from his unit have come forward and said (paraphrasing here) "The Pentagon made us sign non-disclosure agreements, promising we won't say anything about him walking away or us trying to get him back, lest we face a discharge."
That said, I don't think he was a spy or a gov. agent or something. I think obummer just wanted to look like he cares about the troops so much, that he's willing to trade 5 terrorist leaders for a PFC. And...

He is facing full court martial though and potentially faces life in prison.

You've made up most of this shit to make it seem like there's something up.
Just bought a Ruger SR9c today for $250. Heard nothing but positive reviews. I'm sure /k/ has some opinions. Whatcha think guys?
>>28646106
I think it's ugly as fuck and has weird ergos, but it shot really nicely.
For $250, you got a hell of a deal imo.
>>28646106
Noice
>>28646106
That's a crazy ass good deal you got
/k/ do you think airborne operations are still viable in today's military environment?
I'm airborne and I think it's a waste of fucking time, as does just about every other Joe in my battalion. The only people who love this shit are jumpmasters and the battalion commander.
(I do like my 150$ though...)
>>28645511
Sure. And I was an 0311.
What are you trying to do here? Seek validation for your job. Shut up shower shoe it all sucks. And only the lifers enjoy it, that's why they are still there.
Glider operations would be viable, as they don't spread people out over miles, and allow you to deliver armor with the troops.
Airborne operations as they currently exist in the US military are just a dated waste of money/lives.
But that's true with a lot of US doctrine, they half ass on everything because "muh air power will win the war".
Just shut up and stay current or get cool with whoever fills out the logs and just pencil push a few jumps.
It's pretty fun to break the daily routine to go jump. I like it man shacking shoots isn't even that bad either just shake your shoot and fuck off the rest of the day.
STG thread
Ordered one, and hopefully GSG's 9mm MP40 will get approved.
Blitzkrieg intensifies.

Oh Jesus I'm waiting for this to happen any day but at the same time I'm fine with it taking forever because I can't fucking afford this shit

I cannot wait for anons having STGs all over the place
Just picked up my package from my anon!!!
>>28644203

Nice.
Also for everyone that hasn't gotten an email reply yet, I'll be sending out emails this weekend to clear up any issues participants had or anyone that got mismatched/burned.
>>28644260
Well I would post what I got but apprently I was ripped off. CrimsonCunt apparently use sekret santa to DOX a bunch of /k/ommandos and steal credit card info.
Never again!
>thermal for $600
Welp, I know where my tax return is going.
What is /k/ spending theirs on?
>>28644043
Would be nice to have another Glock 17, or a CZ75 SAO.
However I'll probably end up buying a new miter saw and router
>>28644043
dunno how much I'm gonna get but I am probably going to put it in my savings and sit on it. I've been fighting a losing battle with the rent all year.

You are a disgrace.
What is the best easy to make homemade silencer/suppressor?
Hypothetically speaking of course, and filling out a form 1.
Anyone have experience with something like this for .22lr?

>>28644035
What do you mean hypothetically? You can legally make your own suppressors.

ATF plz
What would be the standard issue weapons of your armed forces? For example, Astrachia:
>M16 platform standard issue for all branches
>All branches have their signature weapon
>Army uses FN SCAR Mk. 17
>Federal Marine Corps uses M16A4 (instead of A3 and A1)
>Navy uses the HK416
>Air force uses the SA80
There's more details though, I can elaborate if asked
>everyone has M16s
>let's give everyone something that does the same thing as an M16 or M4
1/10
>>28644041
Different guns to differentiate between branches. Sure, not useful, maybe, but still.
>>28644007
Standard weapon: Mosin Nagant
Standard DMR/snipe: PU sniper
Standard machine gun: Several mosin's taped together
Standard pistol: Obrez
