didn't he shit himself once or something?
In general, is there some reference for these people, like a "youtube gun expert wiki" that lists the relative experience they have?
Like, nutnfancy just works for the TSA or something?

I'm wondering what is the best concealed carry weapon? I've been told the glock 19 is really good
>pic related
>what's the BEST
>THE BEST
>guys, I want to know what's the BEST
hate to break it to you faggot, there is no "best". Why don't you do some research on your own and find out what you want in a conceal carry gun?
>>28681891
That's what I carry, get some good Federal Premium hollow points for it and you're set
>>28681891
>reliable and accurate
obviously good for CCW
>affordable
nice if you have to use it, most likely the police wont give it back
>common
spare mags, any customization you want, holsters, lights etc. all easy to find
>very streamlined
no jagged edges, giant controls to snag on clothes or jab into you
pretty much the best, yeah.

Will this be a game changer once the Chinese overcome the guidance issues?
>>28681746
>once the Chinese overcome the guidance issues
what if they overcame them already and forgot to tell us?
It isn't the first time somebody has threatened US carrier groups with ballistic missiles.
It's just not a great solution because A: There's no way to tell if a nuclear warhead has just been launched. and B: The kill chain is about an hour long.
Course it will, the ability to hit capital ships at sea from land from such immense distances is an incredible leap in capability.
Hell the only reason it gets so much vitriol instead of interest on here is because it's Chinese.
Hey /k/, I'm looking into slowly but surely building an AR, figuring rather than rushing to get as much parts as possible right now I'd take my time over months to acquire the exact kind of parts I want.
My question is what companies make decent A1 uppers? As well as the general price for said uppers.
A) Buy one from NDS and get ready for a 6-8 month wait.
B) Buy a parts kit
C) GunBroker
>>28681091
What about the brownell uppers, they any good?
>>28681298
>look on website
>Brownell's now offers NDS A1 uppers and lowers
Welp, that's new. Yeah, go for it.
Starting up a thread for air rifles and such. Post one if you have one and state your uses with it. Pic related, its a Swiss Tac Arms 1. 177.

I also have a crosman pumpmaster 760 I got for my 8th birthday. still kills shit, even after thousands of bbs run through it
Hey /k/! After tons and tons of research I've decided to get myself a Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .308 as a first rifle. Im gonna use it to target shoot out on BLM land, between 100-500 yards for starters, probably. The rifle itself is gonna be about $700. I have about $1500 to burn. Questions...

research some more and get a tikka.

Are you going to mind spending 2x the cost on ammo compared to 5.56x45 ?
Anyone have any informed opinions about the RAS47? LGS has a rack of them and I'm thinking about getting one to get into the AK game. Thoughts?
Get a WASR.

>An October 27, 2015, press report states: Chinese military watchers everywhere have another clear sign that China is building its first indigenous aircraft carrier, the Type 001A [aircraft carrier with hull number] "17". The hull in the Dalian Shipyard, with its high number of watertight bulkheads and compartments, has long been the subject of speculation due to its resilient construction and the prominent "no photography" signs around its drydock.

>If all goes to plan, "17" will be launched in the second half of 2016. At this stage, it would receive its name, most likely the name of a Chinese province or national level municipality. It would likely to be commissioned in 2019, thus doubling China's aircraft carrier capacity for theaters from the First Island Chain all the away to Africa and Latin America. As the PLAN gains more naval aviation experience from the Liaoning and "17", its fleet will then move...

What an amazing read.
Once they have a decent carrier fleet there is no doubt they will be capable of taking on the US conventionally.
Why does everyone defend their own guns so much?
For example:
Typical /k/ poster, owns a Springfield. "Man this grip safety is so wonderful, it's the best safety on the market, etc..."
Then example /k/ poster sells the Springfield years later. "Oh man, Springfield safeties suck, I used to own one"
It's as if you all have a refusal to admit buyers remorse.
>>28679918
Because admitting that you bought shit requires admitting that you made a mistake and may be an idiot.
That said, I regret two Mausers, an Enfield, a Schmidt-Rubin, a 105CTi II, and at least two Mosin Nagants. The SKS is okay.
>>28679918
People want to defend thier choices. Same with cars and consoles. Though don't see a lot of people defending the xdm
I regret buying a 308 vepr I should have saved up and bought a scar 17
What appeals to you in terms of gun aesthetics, /k/?
Also what doesn't appeal to you/totally puts you off?
Something's weird about this Thompson, and it's not the jaggies.
As for me, I really like things that look utilitarian to a fault.
This gets me rock hard

are there any guns significantly more reliable than a glock? At any price?
Canik tp9sfx
>>28679033
Literally everything that's not a race gun 1911.
Seriously man, Glocks aren't special in terms of reliability.
If we really want to bitch, a Makarov takes everything a Glock does and goes further.

This is basically Jin-Roh irl, what do you think about the idea of heavy troops equipped specifically to breach and assault confined urban structures in modern megalopolis? Does it make any sense dedicating entire regiments for something that can be normally done by SF?
Why would you need a whole squad? This guy pretty much cleared a whole skyscraper with just a rookie at his side.
>>28679032
I've got one of the WW2 armour sets
Manlet size, crappy steel, would only stop super low velocity frag, certainly not a round from any firearm - conclusion - they used to to protect themselves from their own demo charges...
