Now this VN poses a special problem for me, since I don't actually want to read it, I would love to translate it line for line since I'm rather smitten by one of its characters.
However, my previous attempts to translate games for /jp/ ended badly. The first became licensed and got a better translation than I ever could and my second got dropped for varying reasons (mostly my new job and a return to school) followed by the website which was made so I could translate being closed and all the work being lost. A tragedy.
If it turns out too much of a load to translate this line for line I'll revert to a reading. I chose a short 'nukige' on purpose in hopes that its length would be short enough not to pose too much of a challenge.
So, while time allows tonight, let's get started.

All right everyone. We have 25 save files. I'm reserving the 1st save file for the first choice in the game.
If anyone wants to save at any time just say save slot '...' and I'll save a game in slot '...' for you. Except for slot 1. The reason I'm doing this is there are choices in this game that you don't know the outcome until later so it's safe to have saves if you don't like an outcome. You can also load the same way.
I think it'll become easier that way to have a record here because there's no way to tell which save file goes where. Modern games fix this issue by saving a thumbnail of the screen for you. Oyatsu no Jikan only tells you what time the file was saved.
If it ever becomes a bother I'll simply save and load at my discretion.
(Shiratama speaks with an accent, for example she uses 'Uchi' to refer to herself, sounds like Kansai but I'm certainly no expert on Japanese regional dialects)

Yes. I took classes for 3 years, 6 total semesters. At that level it was either major in Japanese or quit, so I quit.

I know how they teach languages in school and how much worse it is than actually putting some effort into it and using it daily.
If I hadn't learned English by myself, I would probably still fail to understand basic English sentences to this day.
I'll start by writing down all katakana 50 times and grind a kanji deck while reading some grammar guides.
