This event looks quite nice
RR tier buffer for anyone in top 2000 since you get one copy form top 3000 rank and second from hearts.
RR is premium summon tier 65% rate with great artwork to boot. Gotta rank hard for that.
People that missed last x-mass can get SO and dark santa.
FAW is quite usefull especially for new people that can build team around her and current LAW(as bad as it is will work)
Slots+PP mean you get lots of arcana/slimes and so on.
Overall nice event now time to burn some shoes and swords for rank. Want that RR.

Like every free-to-play game yes it has that element. Also "pay to get a chance to get good cards"
However the whole thing is genuinely balanced, the game is constantly throwing in-game currency and time-reducing items at you for just logging in everyday and the wait times are quite minimal compared to other games.
You also get random items for clearing certain areas and leveling up in your alliance and performing other simple tasks, even as far as card go there's no real worth as a FTP gamer to throw whatever little in-game currency you have at the premium summons since the event cards that drop are just as strong as any other average premium summon if not more.
It's just a great game overall, there is a city-building and resource-gathering mechanic to it as well but luckily you don't have to worry about other players rushing into your kingdom and stealing all your shit like in CoC or something.
The one complaint that I do have is the almost guaranteed inability of free players to get anything stronger than a SR card. Especially if you alliance isn't full of dozens of high-level people who play all day everyday. You need to fight the strongest (Fantasy & legendary) Archwitches who drop the strongest cards, but you also need the strongest cards to defeat the strongest Archwitches, creating this vicious cycle that you can never really break into.
I did luck out in the 2nd to last even and get two SRs that can be transformed into a UR, but that's it. No Super Ultra Mega Deluxe Hyper Ultra Rare cards for me.
Besides that one level ceiling, it is a great game.

It's not so much inability as a delay. Provided new players get into a good alliance (i.e. guild) they have a reliable way to get their Archwitch spawns killed. Then it's a waiting game for the RNG to spit out some SRs, during which time you're getting key infrastructure up. By the time you have a team that can solo basic Archwitches (i.e. you spawn Fantasy Archwitches faster), you'll have the infrastructure to actually deploy endgame cards.

Note: there is no point doing Witch Gates when you can't solo Archwitches. You cannot call reinforcements inside there and the main reward comes from completing the whole thing, which is a huge BP drain if you don't have a lategame team. Sure you can poke your head inside to see what it looks like, but don't fight any Archwitches that spawn there - just return.

I feel like you didn't get a decent answer yet, so I'll give my input.
It really comes down to what card it is. Is it a buffer you will be using for a long time, and will she be good with different teams? What kind of card is your main attacker? How often does your main attacker die and you have to use your other cards to finish off FAW?
I have 4 of my cards maxed attack and the last on 25k~, this makes it so when my cards all hit for 999k, I have one unit hitting for 800k~. It makes it easier to do good overkills on FAW if you fucked up or had bad luck. It's really up to you, having a buffer with maxed attack is fine, espeically for LAW battles, since you want to use her during the awakening burst.

The skill block that will save your ass against buff cancels which is the second biggest weakness of HH teams. And null proc doesn't work like regular proc so you don't have to worry about them stacking.

Funny you said 'blitz' team when 3 buffs are obviously faster than 4. I've tried HL on Hades team before and let me tell you, getting 4 procs are way harder due to cancels and that bitch Hades keeps stealing procs. And as stated before you don't need more tankiness with GUR.

You will have to get used to having to waste more BP. If you are using the cookie cutter LAW team, switch blocker for her. Buffers that can buff your defense are better for staying alive longer.

So after reading the news that Atalanta's skill has been buffed, I took her out for a spin in EH and she turned out to be pretty legit. Her damage potential is nowhere close to HHades', but at the same time she's probably much more consistent and doesn't require as much investment.

Then I got Venus (skip 5) and soon after I got another Venus. What are the odds of that happening? It's even better than getting Perchta evolved. Right at the last moment I also got my second Dark Succubus from an assist. It was like a christmas miracle.
Now I really want that skill unleasher, but grinding for witch gate will be difficult.

Is there a problem with VC? I always have Error code 2 when I am sure my internet is functioning well; I use xHalo and play multiple games, including VC, and no disconnections happening on the other apps. If it helps, this concern only started being persistent since the start of the last event.

I had this issue for a while. Mine went away after about a week, I couldn't play for the entire duration. Nubee doesn't acknowledge this bug, so you wont get anything from complaining. You'll just have to deal with not being able to play.

Can someone explain 'Extreme Critical' to me? How much % damage is it? Since I awakened my Dark Succubus I noticed she uses it about 1/8 of the time and it always maxes out at 999,999 but she has 2x damage to archwitches.

I never try to get T300 w/o point boosters. It just seems like too much effort if you don't farm keys and have 3x HH/1x Gil teams.

You will have to wait until the extra areas appear (5.1. and you need one Ishikore). There you can encounter the 4 SR AW you need for Huang Long.
You need one of each for amalgamation (not the HSR) and since you can get one from likeability, you will get at least one UR Huang Long if you play enough. Everything else is RNG.

It is a lot easier (and better) to just amalgamate Kathleen and Junior Director.

Depends on how much time you have and how many shoes and swords you have. You will have to clear the event area within a day or so and then start farming the special areas. You get enough cards from hearts to get a mixed amal HL, not sure about SO though. If you have a decent amount of shoes and swords you can definitely make it.
I was kinda relaxing today since I am not into passion days EH.
After doing some house works, I checked the ranking list... Oh, crap! Saw myself ranked 1017 and got only 1 Fujisan. But I swear that I saw the description mentioning about mid-ranking rewards to be send on 4th.

VC is a card collecting game. There are constant events happening back-to-back that usual last 2-3 weeks. Each event offers a variety of event-exclusive cards ranging from pay-cards in gachapon format, ranking rewards, and card drops (at a low percentage) from defeating archwitches.
Archwitches/Fantasy Archwitches are the bread and butter for free players. Spend each event collecting these cards and you will be able to play the game comfortably. Most players can expedite getting to a comfortable level of play by either spending money for cash cards or joining an alliance to help farm decent cards.
There's also a small city building aspect of the game which is pretty cool.

I should have clarified 1.2m for each event. As long as you have an active alliance, you shouldn't have to spend more than 50USD on rods. Shop currently has 6 rods for 300 gems if you want to stock up now.

Well mid rewards are allways screwing up new people. They are handed out 1 day later than stated. So literaly ham your rank till you see stuff in inbox.
So I just started playing and the Beginners Guide said to never spend arcana on a non-evolved card.
However I just got a UR card from a premium summon and I am pretty sure that I won't have the luck to draw her again. Is it okay to max atk her even though she is not evolved?

As a beginner, you don't have enough arcana to max her by far, so don't waste those.
(Leveling and keeping soldier count at max is good enough.)
As time goes on, you will get multiple URs simply doing the event FAWs.
Either way, the guide says to max ONLY fully evolved cards for a good reason.
