News:
-The Summer 2016 event is slated to start in August. Its scale will be smaller compared to last year.
-Asashio Kai 2 has been implemented and can be convertable into Kai 2D form. She is capable of equipping all landing craft at Kai 2D but not at Kai 2.
-8 new quests have been added, including a limited time summer quest which rewards a summer furniture. In addition, a new type of quest, the trimonthly (seasonal) quest, has been introduced.
-2 new and 3 returning early summer furniture have been added.
-Zero Fighter M32 has been implemented and can be obtained from development. Its Skilled variant, Zero Fighter M32 (Skilled), can be upgraded from Zero Fighter M21 (Skilled).
-Zero Fighters M21/M32/M52 (and their variants) and T96 Fighters can now be improved. Proto 61cm Sextuple Oxygen Torpedoes can now also be improved.
-Iowa's fit and overweight bug has been resolved. She can also upgrade and convert the 16inch into the high accuracy variant GFCS, which can be further improved.
-The following ships have received a buff to their base ASW: Tanikaze Kai (+1), Shigure Kai 2, Uzuki Kai (+2), Ushio Kai 2, Okinami Kai (+3), Isokaze Kai, Hamakaze Kai, Maikaze Kai, Harukaze Kai (+4) and Kamikaze Kai (+6).
-Ushio, Ayanami and Hatsuharu's max firepower at Kai 2 have been buffed by 2 points. Hatsushimo Kai 2's firepower has also been buffed by 1 point.
-Isokaze Kai's max luck has been buffed from 59 to 77. Her max LoS has also been buffed by 10 points.
-An opening ASW attack phase has been implemented. Isuzu Kai 2 can perform the pre-emptive ASW attack unconditionally, every other ship needs 100+ total ASW, which can be increased with levels and equipment as well as a sonar to perform it.
-Depth charge animation when attacking submarines has been sped up among other UI/graphical fixes.
-Shiratsuyu has received a mobile phone seasonal sprite in commemoration of the Android port's implementation.
-The Android port has undergone a maintenance to accommodate 80k more players, who have been selected by lottery to join the original 250k lottery winners. It will be accessible to all players from the July 15 maintenance.
-100 new and returning Rainy Season lines have been implemented, along with new seasonal sprites for Hayashimo, Kiyoshimo, Akebono, Yuudachi Kai 2, Mizuho, Yuubari, Mogami, Chitose and Chiyoda, as well as returning sprites, and new and returning furniture.
-The Mutsuki class DD that will be implemented this summer will have an early summer seasonal line.

I just noticed after getting my Fusou to Kai 2, I don't have a single Kongou at their Kai 2, but they're all, especially Kongou, is up there, like level 50 - 65 range for all 4. But we don't have much time left until the event.

I've already read the wiki - and cleared it - but it basically came down to me getting good rolls with 5BB1CV, and brute-forcing my way through BEHM (plus I even had to give up AP cut-ins during the day battles to give all of the (F)BB(V)s T3 shells instead).
CA(V)s feel too fragile by comparison, and the last dance boss formation isn't exactly kind to them either.
