That fan anime did some things okay, but this scene, and the lack of a proper Alice fight in PCB, bug me a lot. Yeah, it's played for laughs but Meiling is still a part of the main SDM force. Especially after Aya explains at length not to mess with the SDM gatekeeper and her bizarre powers. Meiling might not be the strongest but she could have at least had a decent fight instead of being cannon fodder for Reimu. Cutting off Shanghai of Alice didn't help.
At least the Sakuya fight was cool.
Having thought about it for a while I think the unquestioned answer to "wich 2hu wuld u fug?" for me would be Meiling. Except instead of fug, I want to enter into a loving relationship with her!

She can be capable AND silly, problem is we never really get to see the first bit.

Seriously though, kung fu is utter shit as are most martial arts. It only works if the one you fight is also using the same martial art. A boxing youkai would wipe the floor with her.

It's canon that she is strong, she's just a bit of an airhead and very bad at spellcard battles. Sakuya herself gave Meiling an official rating of 8/10 in that one magazine that I forgot the name of.
More importantly, it's canon that she's the nicest person in the SDM. That's mostly why I love her.

I don't think its fair to judge Meiling saying she's just a martial artist, considering her actual profile ability is listed as being able to manipulate Qi, and has numerous abilities that deal with using it to attack or amplify attacks.
