Has anyone read Kojiki or Nihon Shoki? What did you think of them? The heavy references in Masada's VNs made me want to read them, but I have no idea which version to buy (or if it even matters as long as it's in modern Japanese).

Kojiki is the oldest light novel in Japan.
NIhon Shoki isn't a light novel. It's a book of Japanese history.
So I recommend Kojiki.
