Well we haven't had one this month or for about three months now and one of these threads is now long overdue. So in celebration of the 20th and 21st anniversary a PC 98 thread is now in order.

LLS is great. There is a feeling of mysticism in the whole game and the music is dark and catchy. I preffer it over MS by a little bit.
I should really play them again and see if they still make me want to vomit. There's just something about the graphics in those games that makes me physically ill.

ok PoDD is my favourite, get it. It's a mesy statement, because the game has an odd aura (what you anons pointed at) that makes me feel weird, and that's not a nice thing. And I love it anyway.

PC98 Touhous, Mountain of Faith, and ~2000 era FPS are the only things that made me feel that way. Well Infamous did too at times, due to its color scheme.
Actually the color scheme is the common factor in all those, except maybe MoF where its' something about the patterns as much as their color vs the background.

A few games were experimenting with the new expanded colour palettes and graphics, as I recall mainly in the arcade areas ( which I have clear memories of at the time) and this flew through to the dojin markets as could be expected.

I like Marisa's "date" ending. The place where they went looked like a lake of blood, so it might be the stage 2 area.
I also liked the different clothes they wore depending on what difficulty you finished.

I started to play Highly Responsive to Prayers, and I've seemed to have run into a bit of an issue. While in menus it seems that on occasion buttons will be pressed twice. An example of this would be when entering my name on the score screen, and press the Z key to end my name it seems to also press Z for the would you like to continue screen which puts me back into gameplay. I don't know if this is an emulation problem, my keyboard, or I'm holding the button too long, but I just want to know if anybody else has bumped into a similar problem before.
