If you're strictly talking EMP vs. nyaa, there is a fair amount of JAV there that isn't accessible on nyaa, even if you ignore seeds/dead torrents. Especially when you go into more fetishised territory, a bit off the mainstream, like Asfur movies or Knights Visual, you find a fair amount on Empornium that doesn't exist on nyaa.
HOWEVER, you're right that, overall, absolute EMP exclusives aren't that common. A lot of what isn't on nyaa can be found on akiba online and javlibrary, but of course there you have to deal with dead links just like you have to deal with dead torrents on nyaa. So overall, you're right, EMP is mostly convenience, but occasionally (with uncensored stuff too) there is an exclusive to be found here and there. Just thought your point could use some elaboration.

Looks like you're right, I tried to cross search ASW releases a little bit and immediately found 2 that weren't on nyaa (145, 167), both of which seem to originate from Akiba Online (ISO torrent there). AO has a lot of crowdfunding going on so I'm not surprised, I just thought everything got mirrored to nyaa at least once...

Yeah, I think most HD rips actually originate from akiba online's Yipman. Lately, I've seen a few more EMP users actually try their hand at screencapping themselves. There are a few Kaho Shibuya movies in HD that I don't think the poster has uploaded anywhere else. Haven't watched any of them though, and I can't imagine them being very good, in all honesty.
Sometimes it's weird, some things just don't make their way to nyaa for some reason. Maybe some rips just come late and the movies are forgotten.
