But some are purer than othes.
Like these two, they are probably two of the cutest 2hu's and I only want to hug them and kill those who harm them.
But Koakuma would obviously be more sexual as she is a succubus.
Allthough now I think about it, it would be insanely cute if she had her succubus instincts, but was too shy to actually do anything.

>So journalists are professional liars?

Lemme put it this way: journalists routinely rank below used car salesmen in "trustworthiness" surveys. And for a good god-damned reason. Nobody does journalism for the money because it pays nothing. They're almost all idealists out to save the world. You put a bunch of idealists into the same newsroom together... well, you get bias. Boy, do you get bias.

And remember; once upon a time the entire nation tuned in to listen to Walter Cronkite. Media personalities have oft bemoaned that the USA no longer gets their news from One, True Source (who can carefully control the message.) The horrors! Journalists also have a hefty superiority complex (the former CBS guy who wrote the book "Bias" followed it up with a book called "Arrogance," to illustrate) and tend to see themselves as Protectors Of The Free World, charged By God Almighty to protect us from The Demons.

And that attitude shines through, trust me. People notice.

Aya is neat because she's a throwback to an older era of journalism, where the journalists were more honest about being dishonest, and when shit was just more hardcore across the board.
>>
For instance: on the eve of the Civil War, there were anti-abolitionist riots in New York (people were angry at abolitionists, identifying them as the cause of the war everyone knew was likely to break out.) The mobs smashed up Greely's Tribune (a well-known abolitionist paper,) then turned to cross the street and trash the offices of the New York Times.

Now, we all know the modern New York Times. It is literally the gold standard of left-wing activism and editorializing in the news section - only the LA Times can seriously give it a run for its money. According to their editorials and news coverage, Guns are the Great Satan killing America, and they should all be banned.

Well, folks, the New York Times of the 1800s was a different beast. Very different. For as the mobs surged into the Times's lobby, they were met with the sight of *three fucking gatling guns* the editor had wisely purchased a few days prior.

You mean like this? http://nationalinterest.org/commentary/cronkites-vietnam-blunder-7185

And remember, back then they saw yellow presses much as we do today. They weren't considered very trustworthy or believable. They were literally the era's equivalent of the Daily Mail, "tabloid" newspapers - the worst ones were literally the 19th century version of Huffington Post, to put things in perspective. Here's a political cartoon from the era:

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/98/Independence_Seaport_Museum_224.JPG

The strange thing is that the entire idea of "unbiased journalism" is a relatively recent, and almost entirely American invention. For most of history - and American history - newspapers and journalists felt no higher calling to be unbiased arbiters of the Truth. The protections provided for the Free Press in the Constitution were formulated in this environment; the idea being that no one group should be privileged to tell their lies without others out there contesting and countering them. People understood this, and would compare news sources to sniff out the bullshit, and took everything with a few grains of salt. And certain newspapers made a reputation out of not being full of shit, a reputation they had to strive to maintain, because people were inclined to distrust.

I've actually seen journalists arguing that we should go back to this model; that journalists should abandon the "unbiased reporting" principle and just actively advocate for whatever political change they feel is right (the example given was "Obama silent on light rail development.") This was an article written by a prominent modern journalist; I saw it on my class syllabus for a level 400 journalism class.

I canceled the class in the first week and re-scheduled.
>>
I think things were better back then, simply because the media was more skeptical of itself. Even after the idea of unbiased, objective journalism was formed and took hold, they were still close enough to the preceding era to know that everyone is inherently biased, and there's not much you can do about that except being diligent about checking others, and getting others to check you in turn. And university educations were far less common back then; journalists were almost always local and could spring up from any walk of life. And it wasn't that hard to find people who knew how to write - America was a surprisingly literate nation. There's been articles and such on this; even Tocqueville observed it. Americans had something like a 90% literacy rate, literally everyone read often, and the main means of communication with distant friends (i.e. 40 miles away or more) was letters. So "being able to write" wasn't synonymous with "college education." So newsrooms were a lot more diverse. And that didn't make them bad reporters, either. I've even seen modern journalists suggesting that a bachelors degree in journalism is a waste of time - you should get a degree in history, or economics, or whatever topic you hope to report on, and then learn the nuts and bolts of journalistic writing technique on-the-job or at a postgrad journalism school.

In our modern era, though, journalists almost all have similar motivations (Save The World,) go through college together (where they're exposed to a mostly homogeneous ideology from staff and/or the mostly homogeneous populace of idealistic energetic 20-something students,) and then they all walk into a newsroom together.

You add this to the modern conception of objective journalism, i.e. "We Are Above The Bias, We Are The Guardians Of The Free World, On A Holy Quest To Protect All," and you can see where media bias comes from. Sure, collusion and deliberate lies exist, but for the most part it's just a product of who journalists are; a product of some of their best qualities, in fact.

Goldberg's book "Bias" offers a real fascinating look at it. Bernard Goldberg was a CBS reporter, correspondent, and even hosted two big CBS documentaries. He's got twelve Emmy awards. He's big-time. He pissed off his colleges when he wrote an op-ed (IIRC it ran in the Post) criticizing CBS for what he felt amounted to a hit-piece on Ross Perot, suggesting that using words like "wacky" to describe Perot's flat-tax proposals was not very unbiased. He got some letters of support and thank-you (which he published in his book without the signature attached,) but he also got a personal phone call from Dan Rather himself. Rather was emotional; he told Bernie he was a *patriot,* he loved his country, etc. Rather considered the accusation of being biased to be tantamount to being labeled a traitor.

Journalists take their responsibility seriously, but they often combine it with an inability to understand that bias is endemic to human beings, and that even the best and brightest can't self-police their own, no matter how hard they try. They view it as a great sin that they are innocent of, not a cognitive blind spot that they should work with others to address. And we all know how that turned out for Dan Rather.

Putting your hyperbolic opinion of journalists aside, you also fail to address the alternative - state run media. I'd gladly suffer the existence of hacks, clickbaiters and tabloids for the sake of there also being good reporting and investigation out there, which there is. People dismiss journalists because it makes them feel good about being apathetic, incurious, and ignorant.
