Wait, is that the thing I've heard of? That plaque that says Jesus went to Japan and some Jap took his place on the cross and no one apparently who witnessed could tell the difference between an East Asian and a Middle Easter jew?
>>15147300
Yes
>When Jesus Christ was 21 years old, he came to Japan and pursued knowledge of divinity for 12 years. He went back to Judea at age 33 and engaged in his mission. However, at that time, people in Judea would not accept Christ's preaching. Instead, they arrested him and tried to crucify him on a cross. His younger brother, Isukiri casually took Christ's place and ended his life on the cross.
>Christ, who escaped the crucifixion, went through the ups and downs of travel, and again came to Japan. He settled right here in what is now called Herai Village, and died at the age of 106.
>On this holy ground, there is dedicated a burial mound on the right to deify Christ, and a grave on the left to deify Isukiri.
>The above description was given in a testament by Jesus Christ.
I don't think someone who is God needs a tomb to deify him, he's got that covered.
Instead of buying a mansion, we should open a bathhouse instead.
what can i expect in saga, /jp/?
>>15147378
Can a person who's got a tattoo operate a bathhouse?
>>15147298
Thought it was Kansai based on the architecture. Surprised it was up north.
Post-Japan
It was 100% justified.
>>15149600
Looks like an old showa-era school. I'm guessing it's no longer in use with all the missing window panes
>>15148344
So was Pearl Arbor

Wow this one is super nice

But I can't take my clothes off in front of anyone, even /jp/.
Last of my stuff. Everything I posted was in Fukushima prefecture in 2014. They're actually coming along pretty well over there.

Glad you like it!

>>15147424
These GPS coordinates are really nice. Thanks for giving me an idea of where to go if I ever make it up to Hokkaido!
>>15150489
No problem.
>>15150309
what town is this?
>TFW these photos are probably as close as you'll ever get to seeing Japan.
>>15150728
It's actually a hot spring resort; Tsuchiyu Onsen
>>15150874
>tfw you check for online job postings every day for foot-in-the-door English teaching jobs to start living the dream
Some of these have the exact latitude/longitude in the filename; how is this done? I am planning a trip next summer and would like this info to be available to post if I want, and upload automatically online as soon as the picture is taken.
For example, I googled
>>15150574
and got this. At the same time, I wouldn't want to take a picture of a girl or something and have it timestamped to the second and precisely geolocated. Is this part of the EXIF data that can be filtered and scrubbed?
Also, what is a good source of hi-res images to peruse? Flickr? I have a shitload of cityscapes and skyline from the mid-2000s, but after getting a 4K monitor, they all look puny and bad. Want to start accumulating good hi-res pics of the shit I care about.
great thread, keep it up guys
>>15150574
The the ramps next to the stairs for cyclists and skateboarders?
Japanese towns look really small and homely. Like some small gated community
>>15151676
>Is this part of the EXIF data that can be filtered and scrubbed?
Yes, and 4chan has done it by default since a few events quite a while ago.

Good thread.
Post more, weebs.

What sport is this stadium for?
>>15152195
Seems to be for baseball, the turf is just missing.
>>15152223
Ah, okay. I was thinking it might be for horse races.
I want to try baseball some day.
>>15152310
Why didn't they just cut down the fucking tree?
>>15152223
Most schools have dirt and sand on their sports grounds because it requires zero upkeep

I'm surprised its roots didn't fuckup the street real badly.

If you're not a complete autist, you can do this and make a lot more doing it than you would working for someone else. Good luck, anon. I believe in you.
>>15154444
>If you're not a complete autist
Well, that part already excludes everyone on /jp/.
>>15146973
Fantastic image, looks comfy.
>>15154301
Of course, pictures of them have been posted though it might be hard to tell since since most aren't landscapes. I visited a couple of them not too long ago.
>>15154424
I've been collecting pictures of japan for a while now, often some good ones on /wg/ and other desktop wallpaper sites. There are lots of blogs too, sometimes if you're just looking at pictures on google images and you click on a link you come across a really good blog or website with a bunch of pics.
I'm masturbating to this thread right now.
Anyone else with me?
>>15156835
Any picture(s) in particular or just the whole thread?
>>15156921
Just the whole thread.
I'm finished now though.

Seeing all this Plattenbau shit in Japan always makes me vomit, good thing they build this shit outside of the city I live in during DDR times otherwise I'd seriously have to end myself.

>>15163309
Did you think Japan's aging population crisis was nothing but a meme or something?
>>15158835
What the fuck is this?
>>15163309
It is a old people's duty to transmit traditional cultures to children.

How many young people care for cultural events in your country/nation? Exactly.
>>15163769
This is too big to eat as it is, and is cut into smaller pieces with a knife.
>>15163877
Is that cinnamon on top?
Actually looks better than what I expected.
>>15163883
>cinnamon
That is brand
>>15163793
We don't have cultural events in my hometown.
Post Hokkaido
>>15163937
How awful. Anyways, the point is that old people care for these considerably more than young ones.
>>15163937
Traditional events will not be hold in the residential areas, not more than Bon festival dance is hold.
>>15164032
I don't know, plenty of young people tend to attend them where I live now.
>>15164092
Maybe your people still care for their culture.
>>15164101
I live in Japan, m8.
>>15164118
Oh yeah?
Well I live in Okinawa, MATE.

do you have any shots of gas stations? i dont know why, but i think gas stations from other countries are interesting.
>>15165027
Some of them are wearing masks, is air pollution bad in the cities?
>>15165042
No, it's just fear of Japanese cold.
>>15165042

Pollen allergies is a big reason too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hay_fever_in_Japan

I'm surprised the tree can stay alive when the roots are completely covered by asphalt / concrete.
>>15165252
The roots extend like 2 meters deep underground m8. There's hundreds of tree covered in concrete like that where I live.
>>15149600
damn, that looks a lot like the school in that anime non non biyori
>>15164732
I don't have any handy. Maybe I'll take a picture when I go out tomorrow.

Looks like the place from Ushinawareta
in winter
>>15174532
Pretty grass, peeking through the snow early.
>>15152346
Why cut it down? Looks freaking awesome
>>15175075
Yeah, it will definitely look freaking awesome when it falls down and destroys a house or kills someone when a earthquake happens.
>>15175723
Very unlikely that a tree surrounded by asphalt/concrete would fall down suddenly without warning, they can cut it down when it starts to die. And it's not like it'd be worse than a building collapsing during an earthquake, that argument doesn't make much sense.
>>15175817
Fucking Tree lovers, man.
>>15174532
You are learning English a little by little.
Moving to Tokyo next month.
What are some scenic places I can check out on weekends? (outside of Tokyo)
I see a lot of dudes with curly or wavy hair in Japan. What percent of dudes get perms and how much is natural???
>>15177280
does anyone know where is this located?
>>15177298
Here are the coordinates: 36.147822, 137.258483
Captcha: Select all images with rivers
Would the color of an outside surface affect the melting speed of snow?
>>15163793
While I was visiting Japan, I saw many people of all ages involved in cultural/festival stuff. Usually relating to Japanese/Regional identity somehow. It made me feel really sad that where I live, virtually everything is shitty "multicultural" events.
I remember only one event my town had celebrating our heritage, it was related to a rebellion we headed. Only elderly people showed up and it hasn't been repeated since.
>>15154444
I'd like to point out that the woman who wrote that also "works as a model and actress in Tokyo". So basically her model won't be viable if you're a dude.
>>15177517
Really nice to look at how it looks during winter and then during summer
Thank you very much
>>15150103
Fuck, is that really real?!
I think I just orgasmed.

That is a factory of Toho Zinc Co., Ltd.

It's sort of the other way around, it's a quiet road with a set of stairs set between the expected car tire tread lines.
The Keihin industrial area night view, Kasaki
