I didn't get into Perfume because I wanted to hear knock-off club music. The best part of my trip to LA's WT3 show was when they did GAME.
I don't even want to go to the Cosmic Explorer tour leg in America because nothing on the album would get me hyped as GAME did despite all the songs sounding like they belong for a show.
It's not just hipster or nostalgiafaggery, I legitimately enjoy GAME/Triangle's sound more than the Level3/Cosmic Explorer eras.

Cosmic Explorer is their best album from start to finish. It doesn't have any bad tracks like Game's Take Me Take Me, Triangle's Kiss & Music/Zero Gravity/Speed of Sound, JPN's Toki no Hari/Have a Stroll/Kokoro no Sports, or Level 3's Magic of Love/Mirai no Museum. The worst track on CE is Tokimeki Lights and it's still decent. But even though it's so consistently good, it doesn't reach the same highs as GAME or Triangle. Though Cosmic Explorer and Miracle Worker are better than most of the songs on either album.

I have been watching some of theri songs on yt now. Not a single song I didn't know. I never consciously followed perfume. I have been listening to their songs a lot in 2009-2010. Now I rediscoverd their greatness.
I feel realy nostalgic and melancholic right now, because I haven't payed enough attention to Perfume over the last few years.
