It seems to be pretty much the same exact system as Twinkle Crusaders, apart from EX attacks being chosen before committing to attacks instead of being chosen on the fly during regular attacks. Though I liked old system more, as you were able to raise the EX gauge mid-combo and have later characters in Unison use EX attacks since it made the battles feel a bit more involving during the attack animations. Also the trial crashed twice and froze once during battles for me. Like previous games, Normal mode is too easy so I hope Hard mode will be properly hard and that the full version will add some new gameplay elements as well. I guess the addition of leader and buff characters who give party wide passives / randomly triggering effects is nice.
Hopefully the main game will expand the story and setting in an interesting way since I'm having suspension of disbelief problems with VR influencing real life (like fucking time stop or a "bug" in the system causing real life wounds), not to mention the practicalities of turning a whole town into video game battleground or "lol we don't know how this NPC got turned into a real life person". Also the protagonist isn't cute like in Twinkle Crusaders or awesome like in Pricchi. Hell, he doesn't even seem to participate in actual fights like previous games, but just acts as a leader in the sidelines.

I kind of agree with others that Akeiro hasn't really managed to hook me, though I like they're expanding the world by introducing some non-Japanese spirit magic stuff as well. Story wise the main ghost case feels quite cliche (I don't know if there's any awesome twists later on though), and like in Nanairo while there is some nasty stuff the game doesn't really feel like proper horror, nor does it ever feel like there's a sense of urgency even though the characters are technically putting their lives on the line.
Played only through Velvet and twins, plus some of Youko's route so far. Velvet's was alright, twins were really boring since nothing regarding the main case really happened in it, nor was there any proper drama to really keep me interested either. I'm not sure how fair it is to compare the game to Nanairo though, since I didn't play any of its side routes so it may or may not have had same kind of problems with long drawn parts as well. Anyhow I think I'll give the game a rest for a while and maybe pick it up again later.

Yeah, it's not outright bad, but >>15050180 is not that big of an improvement over Twinkle Crusaders. The actual character CGs are great like before, but it feels like there's a lot of empty space in Hanahime's long, non-interactive attack animations (with tiny character sprites and screen saver looking thing as backdrop) and the 3D in itself doesn't really do it for me.

Silverio Vendetta is seriously starting to look like LOGH fanfiction. I'm noticing a lot of themes/ideas pretty much 1:1 in both of them. Well, it's MORE likely that there's some 1920 Japanese classic novel they're both inspired from that I'm unaware of, but at the moment whenever SV goes into preachy mode it tends to be something I saw in LOGH in one form or another.

If you want to buy from Japanese PSN, just order a Japanese PSN card via Solaris (or whichever company you trust). Of course, you'll get shafted a bit so they can make profit but it's better than being unable to buy at all.
