Neither Miko nor Byakuren,wanted the other leader to get influence over Kokoro, due to the menreiki's surprising power and popularity, leading to a begrudging relationship akin to joint child custody. This has led to genuine affection over time and has smoothed relations somewhat between the two, even if they would never admit it publically.
Seija is actually really polite and cordial because paranoia and suspicion gets under people's skin much longer and harder than being a prick to them.

Seija is still at large despite being antagonistic to pretty much everyone because many of the major youkai factions in Gensokyo want a good scapegoat in case they get the chance to off one of their rivals.
tsukumogami are 'racist' to each other for a variety of different reasons, depending what object they are, to the conditions of their 'birth'. However, Raiko has been a really uniting figure for them and the spread of object-swapping will eventually lead to a faction of their own instead of being the tools in other youkai's plans.

Flandre and Remilia isn't actually sisters. Remilia is a true vampire from birth between two vampires before her mother gets killed. Her father, in grief, sleeps with another woman before getting killed and Flandre is born. Flandre is orphaned after her mother gets killed for sleeping with a vampire but Remilia saves her from being killed herself and announces that no one touches her family and takes her in. She's still ashamed that Flandre exists and that she's stronger than a true vampire so she keeps her locked up in the house and away from everyone. Remilia is Flandre's only stone left in the world so she latches onto her every word despite how cruel of a fate it is
Lunarians are basically human hipsters that took it a little too far by going to the moon. No one likes them. Even themselves. The rabbits were originally from the moon and are just going with the flow. Given the chance, they'll all leave because of the Lunarians

I actually see Yuka as the strongest youkai around currently. She is relatively docile unless annoyed or crossed and beats down the target without mercy. She only uses a small portion of her strength which is completely overpowering compared to everyone else
Alice is also a top tier character who rarely goes all out but more like she over analyzes and thinks too much to fight effectively. MAlice isn't a think and Alice just considers Marisa as an annoying neighbor and Marisa considers Alice another target
Marisa is stronger than Reimu. Reimu just has more natural talent. Reimu actually trains but not nearly as much as Marisa
Sana doesn't train and her power by herself is significantly weaker than Reimu's. Kanako and Suwako l has to assist for her to be relevant.
Yukari is Meribell after she gets lost in a gap while searching for Gensokyo. She is trapped for hundreds of years before eventually making a land to live but when she left the gap to make it, she gapped back in time thus making the legend of Gensokyo that made her future/past self search for it. She is actually not that poweful, just her ability is broken. She's the inverse of Yuka in that sense
Daiyousei actually was able to throw so many knives at once because they were from traps she prepared before hand knowing Cirno likes to cause trouble with dangerous people.

Touhou 1:
- Shingyoku is the Hakurei god and attacks Reimu to test her abilities.
- Mima's clothes looks like a school uniform. It makes me think that she is a student who was spirited away.
- Konngara was the 4th Deva until some unknown circumstances sent her to hell.
Touhou 2:
- Marisa paints her hair red so she can look "edgier" like her master Mima.
- The dream world is the same as the one that appears in subsequent games.
Touhou 3:
I actually have a really big headcanon about Yumemi and her world but I'll save it for later.
Touhou 4:
- Orange actually dies.
- Kurumi and Elly are Yuuka's maids/servants.
- Yuuka's master spark is really for killing unlike Marisa's light show.
- Gengetsu and Mugetsu feed off of Yuuka's dreams and because of that knows some of Yuuka's bullet types and even the master spark.
- The moon that appeared in the extra stage dream world is the same one that will appear in LoLK.
Touhou 5:
- Marisa learned to shoot a little version of Yuuka's Master Spark. Its her bomb in the game.
- Shinki could continue fighting the heroines but she risks destroying Makai so she loses on purpose.
- Magician Youkai age when their magical power grows. The reason why Alice looks older in PCB is because she got a huge boost of energy from the Grimoire.

- Rumia was the first one to use the Spell Card Rule (SCR).
- Cirno dies and regenerates every time she loses against Reimu and Marisa.

- Sakuya is half Lunarian half human. She her mother was probably banished from the Lunar Capital and she gained mortality and married a human. However, her powers remain.
PCB:
- Letty is easily a stage 5 boss at least when a real winter season shows up.
- Chen was practicing how to control her cat army in Mayohiga when the Playables encountered her.
- Alice cut off her ties to Makai and began a new life.
- Youmu's slash speed is actually the fastest non-teleporting speed in Touhou. Faster than Aya.
- Youki is actually dead. Yuyuko told Youmu he's gone missing to not make her sad.
- Yuyuko is actually a cunning mastermind and the bubbly personality is just an act.
IN:
- Wriggle is actually good at martial arts and the kick isn't just a meme.
- Keine hides her identity as a half beast but her rumored hakutaku side is treated like a superhero by her students.
- The bamboo forest battle is witnessed by Mokou and Kagerou.
- Inaba actually has PTSD flashbacks of when she was still a soldier. She is also one of the strongest stage 5 boss but seems easy because she was ganged on by the 4 teams.
- Mokou kills every assassin that Kaguya throws at her.
PoFV:
- Medicine knows Alice personally or at least wants to meet her and talk about dolls.
- Yuuka can't use her Master Spark anymore because of the SCR.
- Eiki actually defeats all of the characters and gave them a proper scolding.
MoF:
- The Aki sisters have their own store that sells/gives crops to humans in exchange for faith.
- Nitori only shows her greedy personality to someone after she gets to know them.
- Momiji was actually surprise attacked so she seems as weak as a midboss.
- Sanae was bullied in the outside world so she moved to Gensokyo.
- Kanako isn't actually stronger than Suwako. Its just that her power negates Suwako's power.

Bare heads are a slight social faux pas for girls in Gensokyo, just like how being hatless was in the Western world for men for decades. Partially because it is awkward for flying, but it also has connotations with being human/mundane/poor. Body parts such as horns/ears indicate nonhumanism/special power so that's fine. Even those who don't really care have token ribbons etc to prevent questions.
-Kaguya does not give a fuck because of her lifespan and attitude. (Mokou also doesn't care but needs the ribbons to keep all that hair under control) A few hundred years ago she probably would have had some elaborate Lunarian stuff on though.
-Yuuka purposefully does not as a statement of her strength and the respect she enforces.
-Kogasa likes the small surprise benefit
-Nue finds it interferes with disguises but is also not too fussed about being social.
-Parsee is something of a social outcast so doesn't bother.
-Raiko was animated without one and her formative experiences were in the outside world so she never really bothered to get one.
I think Yuuka is not a Youkai at all in reality, but some sort of primal nature spirit. Eiki says that she's really/too old, which she doesn't even say to Tewi who is ancient. So, Yuuka is a nature spirit associated with flowers like a fairy but moreso and less stupid. An astonishingly powerful 'fairy' with truly ridiculous physical strength who is older than a 4000 year old legend but still much like a fairy. It explains her flighty nature and seeming ressurection, though it does kind of contradict ZUN calling her a youkai, so, retarded headcanon.
Utsuho is smarter than she lets on and just plays dumb to catch people off guard.
The Hakurei family doesn't actually exist -- each Hakurei miko is just a girl with talent stolen away at a young age (presumably by Yukari) and indoctrinated to believe that she is the current miko's daughter. It would prevent a sudden end to the bloodline in violence from unraveling Yukari's plans, and she's not really the kind to leave things to chance.

Touhou 11-15
SA:
- Yuugi and the other Oni were banished to the underworld by the Tengu, persumably with the help of Yukari.
- Yamame acts like a big sister to Kisume.
- Satori is actually really powerful but she lacks creativity so she only has one natural spell.
- Orin freeloads at Reimu's shrine frequently after this incident, becoming regulars like Marisa, Suika and eventually Shinmyoumaru.
- Okuu actually tries to kill Reimu and Marisa but her bullets are too big and slow to hit them so she was defeated.
- Koishi is no longer a Satori, but a Nurarihyon. In fact, this is how I imagine how Nurarihyons are in Touhou until they are properly introduced.
UFO:
- Nazrin is the strongest stage 1 boss (besides Yuyuko) to ever appear in game.
- Kogasa's power grows when its darker. This is probably why she was extra midboss level in the end of the game where its evening.
- Ichirin is the most active out of Byakuren's group, doing most of the tasks and chores.
- Murasa never really got over her urge to sink boats. It just so happens that Gensokyo doesn't have oceans/seas, hence no boats.
- Shou is actually weak without her magical Pagoda. She would probably be a stage 2-3 boss.
- Byakuren is a close friend of Shinki and learned magic from her.
TD:
- Youmu got her haircut by Yuyuko.
- The game seems easy because the protags had gone to Makai so had their skills and magic improve significantly. I don't know how to explain Youmu though.
- Seiga's spell card actually uses real fetuses and not just for show.
- Tojiko knows Mokou's clan but doesn't know her personally.
- Miko uses flashy spells to impress rather than defeat someone so she seems easy in the game.
- Nue can break through the barrier. This is why she was able to contact Mamizou.
- Mami could also break the barrier but find it comfortable in Gensokyo so she stays.
DDC:
- There is a mermaid kingdom in Misty Lake.
- Kagerou has a human form but never appears because of the Miracle Mallet.
- Yatsuhashi, Benben and Raikou get their power from those Taiko arcade games.
- Seija is actually the most talented danmaku duelist ever. She cheats when facing a fair fight against Reimu in DDC but when everyone hunts her down in ISC, she doesn't use her items and fights all of them using normal danmaku.
LoLK:
- Ringo is as talented as Reisen. She only lost because she was lazy.
- Doremy is Gen and Mugetsu's boss and also Yuuka's former landlord. She is a dimensional ruler equivalent to that of Shinki and Yukari so she is actually very powerful.
- Sagume once fell in love with a youkai that went to war in Yukari's army in the Lunar Invasion. She later gave birth to the first Amanojaku. The Lunar elders got hold of this news and banished the child to earth and instead of banishing Sagume, they punished her by cutting off one of her wings.
- Clownpiece didn't lie when she said she was stronger than a Kishin in her pre-battle dialogue.
- Junko never actually met Chang'e but only heard rumors about her. She probably doesn't know that Chang'e is currently a frog.
- Hecatia is a being that is higher that any of the known Touhou characters. She controls all matters concerning hell and is the boss of every Yama. She can however do whatever she likes because ther is no one to punish her. This is why she agreed to attack the Lunar Capital even though they did nothing wrong.

The last ones are about Renko and Maribel.
- Renko is the descendant of Sumireko. Her family is gifted with supernatural powers since generations ago and the ones who have them inherits the Usami name. However, her power seems lackluster compared to Sumireko's telekinesis so she decides to study the occult to better understand her powers. She becomes obsessed with Gensokyo when she finds Sumireko's old journal/diary/photos/whatever.
- Maribel is sent to Japan by her parents because they are afraid of her ability. She makes occasional comments when she was younger that she can see when someone is about to die, or seeing ghosts and other dimensions. She is also ignored by her friends because of her ability, bullying her and the like. She stays by Renko because she is the only one that is intrigued by her ability.
- Renko and Maribel's world is extremely Xenophobic as evidenced when they put Maribel in quarantine after events Trojan Green Asteroid. When Maribel and Renko's adventures become more frequent, I have a headcanon that goverment agents are sent to monitor theme.
- Maribel's power probably grew as time pass by. The Izanagi objects she and Renko were searching for at the end of NToJ could probably trigger her power to become even more potent until she accidentally gapped herself into Gensokyo's past. Trapped and alone, she tries to get out but to no avail. Eventually, she came to terms with the fact that she can't go back and accepts her new life. She then trained and developed her powers until she can control it properly. By that time, she probably can go back to Renko but being no longer human, she abandons all her previous humanity and becomes the Yukari we all know.
- Renko becomes distraught that Maribel is gone and can't come back. She tried many occult methods but failed, so she tried to turn to science. But, having being monitored because of her odd adventures and her wish is a very odd one, she got expelled from her University before she can do anything. She tries again and re-enrolls with a fake identity Yumemi Okazaki. I made this one years ago to explain why Yumemi was so obsessed with going to a magical realm and why she was shunned when she proposed the theory of magic. The rest of the story is Yumemi building the Hyperspace vessel and going to Gensokyo in the PC98 era with Chiyuri and the events of PoDD.

Stacojiu family is one of the noble houses in Romania during the end of Vlad Draculea?epe? III's reign. At this time, Vlad is a master of Dark magic practitioner and a powerful one to boot. Vlad managed to cast a resurrection spell on himself as an assurance against his enemies. The other nobles fear him and betrayed him in the end after he insisted ruling for a long time and continuing his campaign against the Turkish. The head of Scatojiu is the one who proposed the betrayal and persuaded the other noble houses to join him. While sending him to the hand of executioner, Vlad cursed the Stacojius and promised that one day that he will get his vengeance. And he did... years later he was resurrected but not as a human, the spell had it's own price. Of course he became a powerful dark blood-drinker sorcerer and adopted the moniker Dracula. The Scatojiu family eventually were getting massacred on their castle. Somehow he spared Remi and Flan, the head's daughters, and turned them into Vampire as a final insult to the Stacojiu's bloodline. Then Dracula was never seen again. After the family's castle was destroyed, the sister moved to the safe house that was created by their father and hide in there, which later became SDM. But Dracula gave too much power to the young Flan and as a result, she became unstable, which prompted Remi to lock her in underground basement to keep her from going ballistic.
Patchouli is one of the Johannes Trithemius young apprentice in Alchemy. She gained occult and magic knowledge from his peers (Cornelius Agrippa and Paracelsus). Her father is one of the Scatojiu's librarian and also a magic practitioner. He authored many of magic and occult-related books and placed them in Scatojiu's safe house (which became SDM latter). She joined Sakuya in search of SDM to claim her father's legacy.
Sakuya - Born japanese, her birth was said as a blessing from kami Konohana Sakuya after her parents devotion to the goddess. But after a rebellion swoop down the area and her parents died because of it, she was kidnapped by Lunarian and brought to the moon. She became a test subject for time & space-related experiment, which later she developed her own power. Eirin is one of the Lunarian scientist that observed her progress. This experiment is illegal according to the Lunarian standards so those who worked in this must do this in absolute secrecy. When the experiment was compromised by the Lunarian authorities, the participants decided to cryo-freeze her and hide her. Hundred years later, the cryo-freeze capsule ceased functioning and woke Sakuya from her deep slumber. She escaped from the Moon & the Lunarians by using one of their vehicle and crashed on the Balkan region. She was found and adopted by Abraham van Helsing, whom then trained her to become a Vampire hunter. With her time power developed and she decided to train & hone it, she became an accomplished vampire hunter and was known to never fail on her task.
During one of he tasks to hunt a certain child vampires in Romania, she was aided by Patchouli. They founded the abandoned mansion and battled against Remi and Flan. Sakuya was defeated and submitted her loyalty to the Scarlet Devil, while Patchouli still managed to stand on her own and refused to submit, even tough her illness returned on the mid of battle. Remi decided to give a new name for Sakuya, which is what we are calling her now. Patchouli was given permission from Remi to claim her library and stayed here, since she knew her father is one of Patchouli's father's friend.

Renko isn't Sumireko's descendant. We've all been wrong.
One day, Sumireko comes into contact with her dream bubble while in Gensokyo. This doesn't cause death as implied, but as a result Sumireko becomes stuck in Gensokyo while her doppelganger takes her place in the real world.
However, doppelgangers are imperfect. This one doesn't age or ages very slowly, explaining how Renko can appear as a college student some years in the near future. She's also only a vague manifestation of Sumireko, only maintaining a couple similar traits like her curiosity, name, appearance, etc., and having few memories, especially the longer time goes on or the longer they've been separated.
Furthermore, as I think Maribel becomes Yukari, she simply couldn't interfere, whether she chose to or not, when Sumireko threatened Gensokyo. Maribel needs to meet Renko to become Yukari to create Gensokyo and so on, so taking action would have risked Renko actually existing, which would have caused a time paradox.

- Yumemi was also in the experiment, but she didn't get hurt but instead gained mystical powers. When she found out that her daughter was sent to another dimension, she became furious and vowed to take revenge against the xenophobic society as the magician Muse. This could explain the similarity between their danmaku (using crosses) and them being the final boss of their respective Phantasmagoria games. Muse (Yumemi) being Erich's wife could also explain their awkward dialogue in Kioh Gyoku.
Other Seihou theory:
- Marisa being a youkai at the end of SG's extra stage is very obvious. The fact that she still looks young and has wings makes me think she already became a Magician Youkai.
- As for Reimu, she either became so powerful that she turns into an immortal god or became so hermit like and detached from the world that she ascended into a Celestial.
- The Yuuka in Kioh Gyoku is one of the strongest characters in Touhou and Seihou combined if her gaining the ultimate magic and her only appearing in her route thus making her the only undefeated character in Kioh Gyoku shows.
-VIVIT is based off of Ruukoto.
- Gensokyo is hit by a major disaster in the future since the only part we see of it in Seihou is just a big lake with the Hakurei shrine in the middle.
- Non-living things like phones, books, toys and robots can bypass the Hakurei barrier. This could explain why Rinnosuke has so much outside world junk and why VIVIT could accidentally wondered into Gensokyo.

Assuming that the canon endings for the Touhou games is after you successfully 1cc the game, Yumemi should end up back in Gensokyo after being kicked out of the university again. And since Ruukoto is powered by nuclear energy, that means that cactus energy has not been created or mastered yet.
Now, your theory is pretty viable EXCEPT for the fact that it is implied that Yumemi stays in Gensokyo for good after PoDD, and Yumemi is only 18 in the game. Unless Erich comes into Gensokyo and knocks her up, I don't think that Yumemi could have any relations with Erich.

I also like to believe that by the end of it, Marisa seriously considered joining Alice and the Makai remnant forces because she completely understood why Alice was so pissed off at Reimu in particular, after personally seeing what Reimu did and ordered, such as the Makai City firebombing.

I feel like Samidare isn't connected like Seihou and Touhou are. I do agree that VIVIT-r was made as a replacement for VIVIT after she got lost in Gensokyo looking for the grail, but I don't think that the Samidare extra was anything but a homage to other STGs.
Suwako is still a virgin. She saw mothers and children interacting and started wanting that kind of relationship as well so she found a pregnant woman, infused some of her powers and dna into the unborn child, and killed the mother shortly after birth. She tried raising the child fir a few years but eventually gave up and left it at a shrine. A priest then raises the child but Suwako, still feeling attachment, regularly visits the child. My favourite headcanon is that Shiki Eiki still wields a shakujou/Buddhist monk staff occasionally. She used to be a jizou who was promoted into a Yama, so my guess is that she still possesses her old weapon, and might use it alongside her rod of remorse in fights.
Flandre is free to roam around the mansion and her playmates are Marisa and Reimu that occasionally go to SDM (More of Marisa).
Spell cards rules are enforced mainly because Genskoyo is generally under populated. Occasionally you get Nosfertau cases, when it is possible to murder a criminal. The reason why is that the youkai never really feel the indeed to reproduce and the humans have a higher morality right. Half breeds are quite rare.

The worst thing that would happen is the power vacuum that Yukari's death would cause. Ran seems like the best candidate to take over her position, but some other Youkai may try to take her place instead. Yuyuko is intellegent enough, but I doubt she would want to. Maybe Mamizou? She's already very active, and knows how to manipulate people.

I actually have a few about how some characters die.

I like to link PC98 2hu, Windows 2hu, and Seihou (except Banshiryuu, which really wouldn't be relevant anyways) all together.
Obviously PC98 comes first, before spellcard rule. Reimu isn't very powerful yet. PoDD is important to connecting Touhou with Seihou, some I'll come back to that in a little bit.
Then comes Windows, where spellcard rule and whatnot has been established. Reimu is pretty powerful at this point (muh fantasy nature) and still a mortal. Marisa is also a mortal, and has a growing interest in immortality.
Now, time for the real world.
Renko and Maribel's stories occur in the near future, where the world's technology is beginning to flourish. Renko is a descendent of Sumeriko, and Maribel's boundary powers are strengthening at an alarming rate. Sooner or later, they are separated, as Maribel gaps herself to Gensokyo's past, and eventually becomes Yukari. The grand unified theory is established around this point.
Farther in the future comes Yumemi and Chiyuri's time. The grand unified theory I well respected, and kids as young as 13 or 14 are graduating from graduate school. (This may or may not be happening in Renko and Maribel's time) Yumemi, a well known professor, is working on her own theory, focussing on real magic, not the artificial magic which the outside world has created. (Which is becoming powerful enough that Yumemi and Chiyuri are powerful enough to fight on equal or even higher grounds than the rest of the PoDD cast) Yumemi has created the Possibility Space Hypervessel, which is able to travel to other worlds. She finds out about Gensokyo (Perhaps from Renko?) and travels to it to take back an example of true magic, and get revenge on the rest of the world. At the end of PoDD, she returns to the outside world for whatever reason, and then promptly comes back to Gensokyo, presumably for good this time.
Now, there's one important thing that is often overlooked: the existence of Ruukoto. Her existence helps us pinpoint what time period Yumemi comes from. The world is clearly more advanced than Renko and Maribel's, yet Ruukoto is still nuclear powered while still being cutting edge. This means that cactus energy still does not exist, is still being developed, or is not widely used yet.
In Seihou, Erich has created VIVIT and she uses cactus energy, meaning that it has been discovered for a decent amount of time. I would go out on a limb and assume that it has been at least a decade since Vivit was trapped in the other dimension device. Erich may or may not have been a student of or known Yumemi, which could possibly be his inspiration for making VIVIT. It could have been a coincidence that they both made robot maids though.
Here's where it gets unclear:
In Shuusou Gyoku, it is very obvious that SOMETHING has happened to Gensokyo and it's barriers. The fact that VIVIT and many hostile robots were able to enter Gensokyo is very peculiar. It becomes even clearer that something has happened once you see that the Hakurei shrine appears to be somewhat submerged in a large lake. Marisa also may have finally achieved youkai status, hence her wings and extremely long lifespan. Reimu also must have become more powerful, as she too is still alive many many years into the future. It assumed that VIVIT gets lost in Gensokyo shortly after the end of the extra stage, and does not return to the outside world.
Now, in Kioh Gyoku, VIVIT is back, but it seems like Shuusou Gyoku has already happened, hence VIVIT mentioning that Marie has sent her many love letters, that she has destroyed one of Milia's ships already, and that she uses Vivit to fight.
TL;DR Seihou happens in the far future of Touhou, Marisa becomes a Youkai, Reimu gains immortality and is more powerful than ever, and something fucked up Gensokyo and its barrier between it and the outside world. Future outside world technology is also on par with or even more powerful than magic.
That's just about it. Looking back it's stupid to see that I put in this much effort trying to prove that. Oh well. Autism works wonders.

It also appears that spellcard rule is gone, since there are no spellcards used in SG's extra. This may have to do with something happening to Yukari, since the barrier weakening also may be a result of this.

Yukari is Hakurei Shrine deity.
Evidence 1: Hakurei shrine first purpose is to seal the border between Gensokyo and the Outside world. Which is exactly Yukari field of expertise.
Evidence 2 : Yukari has become lazy, giving all her responsibilities to Reimu and her Shikigamis. This can be a symptom of the lack of Faith.
Evidence 3 : Yukari isn't considered as a god, but as a simple yet powerful yokai. It matches with mountain of faith's prologue, where we learn that the Hakurei deity has become ignored by the god.
Evidence 3.5 : Maybe Yukari's attempt in Perfect Cherry Blossom to break the barrier was just a way to scare the gods.
Evidence 4 : in PFB extra stage, Yukari tells Reimu that she lives at the same place. So technically Yukari lives at Hakurei Shrine. She also says that the shrine is magnificent, like if she is really proud of it.

Fast forward to Hopeless Masquerade, and Reimu's capable of moving from one side of the screen to the other, something that only Yukari could do in the other fighting games. Marisa's mother was a magician from the Outside World (specifically Poland) who decided to go to Makai to train. She got lost and ended up in Gensokyo instead. One day she met a young man from the human village, and they fell in love. They decided to get married and start a family, but only on the condition that she completely give up witchcraft and never so much as mention it again, and be as completely ordinary as any other villager. This worked out well for some years, until one day their young daughter, Marisa, discovered her mother's old things, and decided she too wanted to be a magician. This resulted in her father (who hated everything to do with magic) kicking her out of the house. After being kicked out, Marisa was taken in by Mima and started training. The rest follows from SoEW.
Mima herself was originally a human magician who was a good friend of a previous Hakurei shrine maiden. This ended when the miko grew paranoid, seeing possible youkai in everything. Concerned that Mima was growing too youkai-like, she killed her to prevent her from becoming a youkai. This backfired, as Mima became a vengeful ghost with a grudge against the Hakurei shrine, seeking to avenge her own death.

Sakuya Izayoi was a byproduct of human experiments conducted at the Lunar Capital. The goal was to manipulate human abilities so that they could become genetically engineered foot soldiers. Eirin Yagokoro was the scientist responsible for carrying out and conducting the experiments. Sakuya was kidnapped and made into the first and only test subject under this project.
Eirin's uncontested scientific prowess made Sakuya into a being that defied all known notions about humans. Her hair turned silver and eyes crimson red. There could have been millions of genetically enhanced humans at the will of the Lunar Captial, had things not turned out differently.
Despite the praise and opportunities this discovery could have created, Eirin didn't like the idea of the experiment. As she observed Sakuya, Eirin became more and more guilty for what she was doing. Eventually, she came to the conclusion that this "Debauchery of humanity" had to be nipped in the bud. She contacted Yukari to send the child away from the moon to Gensokyo where she wouldn't be found. When asked what happened to the test subject by the Lunarians, Eirin stated she was "spirited away through time", a concept that Watatsuki no Toyohime was more than familiar with. The experiment was declared a failure, and Sakuya reappeared in Gensokyo, eventually meeting the vampire Remilia Scarlet.
Several ideas that support this is the canon link between Eirin and Sakuya. Eirin showed surprise at seeing Sakuya in IN. No one actually knows where Sakuya came from, either. Some people have already come to a similar conclusion to mine as well, (pic related)

Of course, if you mean Reimu. Gengetsu never does this during her fight. It's just that both Fantasy Nature and Gengetsu's last attack are powerful techniques that are possible to beat only by some sort of restrictive condition (time limit for IN Reimu, lit all the seven orbs in SWR and "don't spend too much time to defeat Gengetsu or you better have a lot of bombs" in LLS).
There are differences, but I think it's the most similar thing to Fantasy Nature in the PC98 era. By the way, nothing in canon supports this theory, so feel free to ignore it. It's only that I like "Fantasy Nature" better than "Gengetsu Rape Time".
Shingyoku, besides being the Hakurei god(s), were also the first Hakureis. The human male priest marries the female Youkai and produced humans with the Youkai's potent magic. This could explain Reimu's natural talent. They probably gave birth to half youkai like Rinnosuke but lost their immortality as their descendants mated with normal humans until their youkai blood is all but gone. The only Youkai characteristics that remain are the Hakurei's immense magical prowess. On the other hand, if their immortality hadn't gone away and they died mostly due to battles, this could explain why Reimu is still alive at the end of Shuusou Gyoku.
