J-pop 80's are cute. Litereally cute. Thats probably the best way to describe most of japanese content.

Listening to most of whats been posted it's basically the same, with different vocals and lyrics.
I kinda miss the variety of EU/US 80's. Where are the powerful ballads? The rock legends, RnB, hell even Metal which I generally don't like that much.
Also, japanese as a lyrical/singing language is not very powerful and rather just cute.. which is good but so limiting...

After watching Scorpion I discovered the Pinku Eiga genre and I've watched a few films from the wikipedia page.
The Pinky Violence movies are good, I'd recommend Sex and Fury (It's got a great plot, and the cinematography is pretty awesome), but the other Pinku genres so far have been boring, rapey pornos.
I highly recommend Sion Sono's movies on that list (not reeally Pinku in my mind though), he's a fantastic good director. All his movies are really fucked up. Strange Circus is fucking craaaaazy.
