it's kind of embarrassing being a perfume fan sometimes not because they still call themselves an idol band (even thought that's not 100% true).
mostly because of how lazy they are when it comes to singing live, I never want to show people their live performances because it's hard to look someone in the eye and say yeah they are just standing still mouthing things, it's easy to explain that the dancing in edge take priority over the singing but it's literally impossible to defend things like point or koi wa were they are either barely moving or not moving at all.

I don't think it's embarrassing at all. A big part of Perfume's image is/was robotic vocals. They lipsynch because their natural singing would clash with the track's vocals and also who the fuck cares. Exceptions to this are like Baby Cruising Love, where their natural vocals sound pretty nice with the backtrack, but their new music doesn't sound like that. Plus, Yuka's live vocals are weak.
Why are you wanting specifically to show less impressive performances like Koi Wa rather than actually show people their more impressive dances like in Spice or Spring of Life?

their live performances in my book is the one thing that seems to be improving more and more over time, I honestly didn't think they could top gurun gurun but then they slammed in masterpieces like game and kareshi.
I mostly don't care what people think about perfume even If I would optimally like to have someone in person to talk about it with. the point I'm making is that perfume are basically trying to break into America and it's never ever going to work for them and if I know the Japanese music industry once an artist starts to stagnate in sales they set them into overdrive and when it fails they just trash them and try to transfer the resources into the next band that will get them Love the World sales numbers.

desu I'm torn on whether I want perfume to quit while they are ahead or to keep going on all I know is that breaking into America won't get them the sale numbers that amuse needs to keep investing money into them.
I think it's time they get back on TV music japan is closing soon and it's all the shilling with happy, chandelier house and ki ni naru ko chan that hyped people up for GAME, Love the world, one room disco and triangle. they used the popularity they gained from those shows to tour hard but people are forgetting them so bring back the shows, show people how hyped they should be.
