I've always disliked the SUPER CHINA PRIDE bullshit that Tasoforo ended up pushing onto Meiling through her fighting game lines.
Besides just being uncreative as shit its never made a lot of sense to me that any kind of low-tier youkai would be particularly prideful of their country of origin considering they'd likely spend most of their time isolated away from its culture.
